Although the cost was high to us, the work was done very well. Pictures were provided of the needed replacements. This was a new feature that I really appreciated. We have always had good service from Kniesel's Auto.

(1) I was informed that I needed new struts and alignment - estimate: $3100!! I contacted both Toyota and Meineke - estimate: $1400 - that's 45% of Kniesel's estimate! (2) When I dropped off my car at 8 am (yes, I had an appointment for my 90,000 mile maintenance), I was told that I would receive a call around 11 am (noon at the latest) to either let me know the work was done or what additional work was recommended. I called Kniesel's at 1 pm because I had not yet received a call. I was informed that the tech was on break and that Kniesel's would call me as soon as he returned. I called Kneisel's at 2:30 because I had not received a call. I expect better customer service. I have been a loyal customer of Kniesel's. That ended on 8/29/2015.

You could not tell any difference from before the accident.

We had been very satisfied with our Orangevale provider of auto service for several years. Even after we moved to Citrus Heights, we continued to go there due to the trust that had built up over the years. Recently; however, it was unable to diagnose an intermittent problem (after two attempts) so we wanted to get another opinion. Based on favorable reviews and being much closer to home we tried Kniesel’s. Kniesel’s was able to diagnose and repair the problem (at least so far, with no reoccurrence in about 3 weeks). So, from a service perspective, problem solved. The work was completed within the time estimated. I took advantage of the free shuttle service Kniesel’s offers. That’s a big plus in our books. It is also adjacent to a car rental place (Enterprise) in the event you need temporary transportation. The communication with the Service Manager was straightforward, timely, and with no BS. Overall, I appreciated everything about our experience except the price. I can’t specifically fault Kniesel’s for that as it may just be the cost of auto repairs. We will use definitely Kniesel’s again for our next service requirement.

We dropped my car off on Friday at noon. Late that afternoon they called and said parts and labor for new window regulator would be $517 (250 for parts and 267 labor) but they would not be able to fix it until Sat. Initially I authorized the repair. Having thought about it that evening I changed my mind. I called them first thing on Sat and asked if they could just put the window in the up position and unplug the motor before they put it back together. They said they would. When I went to pick up the car the window was NOT up. I asked why. They said they could not get it to go up. I was upset that they did not call to let me know. I was told they did not call because I had told them I did not want to replace it . They did not think I would change my mind because "a lot of people leave here with out getting their car fixed." Since I do need to be able to roll up the window, I asked if I would be charged for the removal of the panel again. I was told that my service contact and mechanic were both gone until Monday. Since then I have spoken with the owner and the issues I had with the handling of the situation have been resolved to my satisfaction. They have showed that they do care and the customer is very important to them. I would do business with them again in the future.

They are the best of the best. Everything was fantastic. I have used them many many times and will continue to use them in the future.

The staff and technicians and Kniesel's are the best. I have an older car with a lot of miles. There were very accommodating to advise of future work needed and gave me the best pricing for work I needed now. They did an excellent job on my car and went over and above what I expected. Thank you so very much. I feel I can really trust their honesty and the service they perform. They even had my car washed and detailed when I picked it up. The work was completed by the next day.

Problem appeared fixed but within a week the check engine light came back on. Took Jeep back in, same diagnosis and they recalibrated some of the electronics, but within a weeek and half the check engine light came back on. Took Jeep in on Oct 20 and they checked the fault codes and 2 codes appeared. The cleared the codes and asked me to drive the Jeep to see if the check engine light would come back on and to see if they were the same. So far everyhting is OK and they have not charged me any additional fees. Whether the problem has been remains to be seen.

Fact 1: I came to the service center. Although one service center was available (not on lunch break), I had to wait about 20 minutes because the other service adviser who was supposed to help me was working on his computer. This was while the other adviser was available. I have my own business, and my staff earn a bonus, and so as much as possible I want my staff handle the sales. But, I tell them that if customer is waiting, unless customers insist, anyone should offer help. Fact 2: Service adviser didn't let me know that after the smoke check, the engine light often will lit up, and it is normal. I was a little bit panic about it. Not Sure: After service, two things happen. The A/C wasn't as cold as it is, and when I open the trunk while the car is locked, the alarm will go off when I closed the trunk. These two didn't happen before taking the car to this place. Conclusion: This was my first visit to business using recommendation from Angie's List. I am lying to say that I am pleased with the recommendation from Angie's List. I hope my next referral from Angie's List will be a pleasant one.

They did a good job.

They provide excellent service. Timely, professional and clean. They check some other items with the oil change and make recommendations if needed. They are honest and not just trying to sell additional services. It is a local business, not a chain.

It was an expensive lesson, but well worth it. I spent about $187 on that service and I did have it towed. They were nice and explained everything. They even did a 37 point check on my vehicle and they made several recommendations.

My husband and I go there. I will be taking my car there next week. They are very professional, very clean, and do a good job. They are also very honest and trustworthy. They would know us by name even if we have gone there just once. Their price is high, but not exorbitantly high. They are not anywhere near where we live, but my husband still likes to go there because he trusts the mechanics and likes the cleanliness.

The carburetor was a special order so it didn't come in for three days. While installing, they inspected and replaced the distributer cap, rotor, coil and fuel filter. I was extremely pleased after I picked up the car and took it home. The performance was like night and day. All of the people at Kniesel's are knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions you may have regarding your car. Dave, Mike (who worked on car) and the other staff members went out of their way to help me get my car back on the road. I always want to feel my car is in safe working order and Kniesel's helps me keep it that way.

I was very pleased with the professionalism of all the personnel. They catered to my request for specific motor oil. They did my pre-test and test only smog in a very timely manner and since they are able to do both tests at their facility, I found it very convenient. The personnel keep you informed of the progress or if there are any delays.

*Still* can't find a repair shop I trust. Even though I was the first one in that day, (the door was locked at 7:35 am) they did not complete a 40K service, rotation, check chronic steering noise, change coolant. Claimed other cars took too long, delayed work on mine. Promised to call with status; never did. I asked why; they said "Brent went home for the day." Work not completed, they weren't worried about it, told me to leave it overnight. Tried to sell me an $89 alignment without seeing the vehicle; "standard industry policy to do one every 12 months." When I challenged him on it, Brent rubbed his nose vigorously as he justified it. That told me he believed he was "selling" me something he didn't think I needed. Never found the steering noise; charged me $57 to not find it. Gave them a copy of the 40K service list from the manual, didn't see that most had been done. Tires rotated F to R, but pressure not adjusted; was 34F and 32R (opposite of what the door sticker recommends.)

This was basically a 90,000 mile service on a Ford Expedition, primarily preventive maintenance. All work was done consistent with their estimates and my prior approval. They even threw in a free car wash. I have used this company for several years and with several different vehicles and the results are always the same: knowledgeable analysis of what needs to be done, good estimates of costs, and timely work completed. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Very good service, they even repaired my door panes for free. They said it would pass smog no problem, and it did.

Extremely professional and courteous. When there was a problem, went very far out of their way to make it right. I will be back.

All personnel are very knowledgeable, polite and work is completed after an appointment on time. We take all our car service here.

Very efficient service. Took me on time for my appointment. Was shown my worn out PCV hose and was told that once replaced, my vehicle would pass the rest of the testing. I was advised of the price and that there would be no labor charge to install it. I was very surprised when my vehicle was done in less than an hour with all paperwork completed. I had a AAA special offer which made the price very reasonable.
