Dream Painting

We chose Dream Painting for our interior job because of their professionalism in bidding and their good price offer. Paul Yun, who bid the job, was prompt, helpful and professional about the bidding process. We made some changes from first bid to final acceptance, and he added them to the project at a very reasonable price. He provided insurance and license information without being asked, and was flexible and forthcoming about job details. The crew that did the job (4 guys, 3 days), worked hard and carefully. They masked everywhere, so that we had very few drip issues (they missed a few minor cleanup items, but nothing of substance). The actual painting looks good; they immediately responded when we pointed up minor glitches, and fixed them. As they were painting, we did a number of color changes, and they were flexible about adjusting as we went along, allowing us to do some test areas when needed before finalizing a color. We had a fair number of accent walls and surfaces, and they matched them all with care. I'd rate the work quality as "very good", just a notch below the highest level, and they get extra credit for flexibility and friendliness. We're pleased with the end result, and would be happy to use them again.

David was very punctual and professional. The quote from Dream Painting included portions of the exterior stucco walls around our home. Other contractors required additional fees for that work. The team showed up as scheduled, were professional , answered all my questions, concerns and gave great guidance about house colors. My neighbors love the look of our house and so do we. The price was between $1,000.00 to $3,000.00 less with Dream Painting than other bids we received. We are very satisfied.

Dream painting did an excellent job. They showed up when they were supposed to and worked diligently to finish painting everything but the ceiling in my home. The finished product looks amazing.

Just purchased a new home and needed to paint the walls only as the ceiling, baseboards and crown molding were in good shape. They finished ahead of schedule by a day. 2400 sqft home. Awesome work and recommended by my realtor. I will use again, it made life so easy and stress free.

The painters arrived on time. They were so friendly and professionally. They always smiled. They kept checking with me if everything is fine. They cleaned up beautifully.

Overall, happy with the service. I used them for both interior painting and carpet installation. The painters arrived on time as I had requested. Even apologized for arriving a few minutes late. I couldn't be there for the carpet installers as I had an early morning meeting, so I can't say anything about their punctuality. But they were there working when I arrived about an hour later. Impressed with the painting job and satisfied with the carpet installation. Only comment: I think the carpet guys were a little messy. The painters were very careful. The kitchen/bathrooms (non contracted areas) had been pretty much covered and taped up by the painters while they were there so it would have been counter productive for them to get under the plastic covering. But I came home after living in a hotel for a week to find that someone had used the microwave in the kitchen and there were food splatters everywhere inside. Also, it looked like every bathroom in the house had been visited. The Toilet seat was left up in all the bathrooms. I don't have anyone that needs to use the toilet that way so it wasn't like that when I left. I also found and plugged in my radio this morning (which had been stored in the master bath that wasn't being worked on) only to get some Mexican Station blasting back at me. (I'm not Mexican) Despite that, I may consider Dream Painting for my future painting needs.

According to their add on Angie's list they serviced 81 places near my location. I called them and the girl who answered the phone took all my information down to have someone call me back and told me at the end of the call to better find someone local then was in rush to end the conversation. Very unprofessional and I would not want to hire them anyway.

I cannot say enough positive things about this business! From the quote all the way through to the end they were punctual, professional and kind. Jorge and his crew even put my trash cans back after trash day! My house looks fabulous inside and out! My sister recommended them to me and she is VERY particular. She's had them paint two houses and has been completely satisfied, as well. I also want to mention that you don't pay anything until they are finished AND you are happy. This business is first-class!!!!

Excellent! They arrived on time and finished ahead of schedule. The effort put into masking and protecting adjacent areas was excellent. Afterwards, I could not find a single example of over-spray or drips. None of our plants were damaged and everything was returned to its proper positions. The men were polite and professional. We were kept informed of the progress at all times. During the job, I was going to touch up some damage caused by the satellite dish, which was not part of the contract. But my touch-up paint didn't match. They mixed a good match for me and completed the touch-up job, even thought that was not in the contract. We have used a lot of painters over the years, but this company is the best. We will use them again.

Excellent job, couldn't have gone any smoother. Right on time and worked until job was done. Very pleased.

They stuck to their price. I didn't like the quality of the work. There were some spots they missed that we didn't notice until after they had been paid. They did not fix the problem.

The team was very punctual. Professionalism was present however, when the foreman left for a while to the store, the workers did goof off a bit. There was an area which had not been painted fully and this was speedily rectified. The overall experience was impressive. The work was neatly done and clean up impeccable.

Everything went very well. Jorge and his crew were very professional and on time every day. The job took 3 days, and Jorge explained what each day would consist of. The crew took the time to walk with me afterwards to make sure I was happy with everything, and I was. I asked a neighbor who he used to paint his house and he said not to bother because he was not happy. He said, "I should have gone to Angie's List". So I'm glad I did.

I talked to Paul initially about an estimate for painting the entire interior of my townhouse and he was very nice about it all. He was able to paint the entire interior in the estimated time and at an affordable rate.

David Kwak and his team were very professional. They were there on time, very clean and finished on time. I recommended them to a friend and she had the same experience. We will definitely hire them again.

it There were two crews, one for the inside and one for the outside. The interior was done in two days as they said would be. They were very thorough with prep and helped move heavy furniture. Everything was protected with plastic. They put in two very long days of work. I asked to add a couple of doors to the proposal and they accommodated me. The paint looks beautiful and they did a fantastic job. They left nothing behind to clean up! They were also very quiet and professional. The outside crew with Kim was also amazing. They were efficient, punctual and very hardworking. Everyone was also very friendly and easy to talk to. I have a new puppy and they were very accommodating in giving her time to get outside. There was a lot of area to paint and they got it done in three days as they said they would. The gazebo was a bit of a challenge but they found a creative way to get it done. They didn't hesitate to do all of the high areas as well. It is flawless. My husband thought he spotted an area that needed going over but they had already done so before he could bring it to their attention. It truly is perfect. They thought of things we didn't and are obviously very professional. We have lived here for 35 years and have never experienced anything like this. I saw them picking small things out of the grass during their cleanup. Unbelievably thorough. Both crews were very easy to have around and we appreciate their work. Their bid was one of the lowest - they could probably charge more and still have very satisfied customers. They used the best Dunn Edwards paint. We would recommend these folks to anyone.

The guy that came out was pretty straightforward. He did everything as he said. These guys were impeccable. These guys were utterly fantastic. There is no word to describe how these guys performed. The price was competitive. It was fair. Their quality was wonderful. They told they would start at 6.30 in the morning and they used be here at 6.30. They finished the work on time. They said they would complete the work in 3 days and they were serious about it. I will be using them again for my son's condo.

Masking was well done. Application of the paint was also relatively well done. However, the paint was (and is) very thinly-applied. The slightest brush, nick or bump leaves a mark that needs to be touched up. It appears that skimping on paint was a cost-cutting tactic.

Paul came out a week before to estimate the job. The estimate was emailed to us the following day & we responded that the price seemed reasonable & we'd like to schedule. The job was scheduled for 3/13-14/ 2014. John & his assistant showed up Thursday morning as scheduled & immediately got to work, putting plastic in the kitchen area to protect granite, etc. John (the painter) helped remove the TV from the Entertainment Center. My husband (also John so this can be confusing) asked him to mark the cables so he'd know where they went the painting was done. John (the painter) said it wasn't necessary as he knew where they went & would reconnect it. When removing the Hopper, the black cover came off the antennae & John (the painter) put it someplace. We don't know where & neither did he. The estimate called for sanding & priming the cabinets prior to painting. No sanding was done. The cabinets were wiped with something before the primer was applied. Do be sure you read the estimate carefully. I thought I had, but I didnt so instead of costing around $1900, it cost $2600- for a job that took 1 person almost 2 days & the other person (John) a little over a day (we went out to breakfast both days & he was gone when we got back-both days). $2600 is hefty even had it taken 2 full days for 2 people. Do be sure you mark where cables go if any electronics are involved. We haven't figured out how to connect that TV yet. In addition, John the painter has no idea where the antenna cover might be Do be sure to take the 2nd car out of the garage even though only 1 door, 10 feet away from the car was painted- with a brush. We don't know how, but there was paint spatter on the BACK of our Black car. John the painter said they didn't do it but did take $100 off the bill. Do be sure the proper tape (painting tape, not masking tape) is used to tape down the plastic protecting the wood floor. Masking tape was used & there is some tape residue on the floors.

The estimator was friendly, professional and arrived on time. The leader of the crew was professional, knowledgeable and very meticulous to detail. I appreciate his input on color selection and also type of paint (gloss, semi-gloss or satin). He accounted for my concerns and addressed them as he painted. I have nothing but high praises for the crew leader, unfortunately, I forgot his name. His crew was not as impressive. They did as they were told, but lacked the work ethic as their crew leader. They did a poor job of painting, which the crew leader had to correct and they did a poor job of cleaning up after the painting was completed. I saw them just going through the motion of cleaning, but the proof was in the pudding - the house was not cleaned up. Since it was late, I let it go and cleaned up the house myself. I would only use this company again if the two crew people are not on the job site and only if I could get the crew leader to perform the work. All in all, I liked the estimator and the crew leader.

Prompt, professional, high quality workmanship. We are very satisfied and intend to use this company again this spring.

They were one of the lower estimates I received. They were very professional and did an amazing job in prepping the house for the painting. They cleaned up at the end of every day. They even did a few additional things that were not listed on the contract. Overall, they did a wonderful job.

They were extremely professional and they did exactly what they said they were going to do. They showed up on time. They were neat, clean, and considerate. They were very communicative and we have been really happy with their work.

We had our house painted by Drum Painting. The owner is Mr. David Kwak. I did use them to do some repair work inside – my baluster, they repainted it. It was less than $100. We have used them before. We like the quality of their work and they are professional. They have a fantastic general manager and he is just a joy. The matter of fact, now, I can tell you when it was, it was near Thanksgiving because I gave them a ham for Thanksgiving.
