I highly recommend Thrifty Shutters because they are a very professional company from the get go. Their estimates were reasonable in comparison with their competitors. They were always in contact with us and delivered as promised. Also, they were prompt and the installation was completed on time and the results were much to our satisfaction. Installers Tom and Alan worked nonstop and were very efficient! We are extremely pleased and happy with their workmanship, and we love our new shutters!

Joel Brown knows his shutters! On the same day, Joel came to our home to quote, advise on shutter styles, and measure for the plantation shutters we ultimately ordered (for 10 windows and a set of French double doors). Joel was professional and pleasant, and explained the process from measure to design to manufacture. It was also a comfort knowing that all designs must pass Joel's desk for approval prior to manufacture. The shutters we ordered arrived slightly early. Installation went very well. Only one thing to note regarding install--caulking is used around the shutter borders for clean lines. The caulk does have a very strong paint smell, so allow time to air out your home, especially if you have young children. The shutters turned out beautifully and were the perfect finishing touch on our cape cod style home. Thrifty Shutters also warranties their shutters to the original owners. Thank you Joel and team!

The crew that came out were exceptional. They knew exactly what they were doing. They looked at the damaged shutters and said they would do what they could. When they returned for the installation, I thought they had given me all new shutters! I couldn't believe the quality and finish of all the shutters. The old shutters looked new and they matched all the shutters perfectly. I absolutely could not tell the difference - even when looking in the corners of the old shutters, they looked brand new! A double wide slider shutter was coming apart and some other slats needed replacing. They repaired everything - perfectly and the installation is flawless. Every time I walk into the home, I smile. I could not recommend them more highly.

The installer was on time and proceeded in a very timely manner. He was very courteous and friendly and didn't mind my many questions. I am so happy with the new shutters. They showed up earlier than expected. Put blankets down to protect my wood floors. They were very courteous and professional. The shutters are beautiful.

From the first phone contact and in-home estimate, we found Joel to be professional and reliable. We felt comfortable ordering shutters for throughout the new home. He does estimate a timeframe of 8 - 10 weeks for delivery, which meant waiting for much longer than other companies estimated --- but the wait was well worth it! The frames and shutters were installed yesterday - and were absolutely gorgeous. Joel had measured the windows perfectly --- and then Tom and his team installed them efficiently and seamlessly. The Installation team communicated with us and arrived at exactly the time they had said they would and used tarps that kept our home immaculate throughout the installation. They look beautiful! I can't say enough good things about this company --- and Joel and Tom were wonderful to work with. We felt they gave us a fair price and the quality of the shutters is outstanding. Great work. Thrifty Shutters got the job done fast and perfect. It's so wonderful to have our house looking sharp again. Broken old wood slates, faded in the sun just look awful! Joel called back right away after we messaged him on Angie's List. We setup appointment to come and measure and after comparing 2 quotes, we decided to go with Thrifty Shutters because their price was substantially cheaper. I was worried about quality till the day they came to install. After seeing the product, my fear was eased. Installation went very smooth, 4-5 hours and all was done. I love the way they clean-up after themselves, putting blankets pretty much everywhere on the floor. You pretty much would never have known that they were there because it was so clean after install. They run a tight team, everyone is so organized. Friendly folks. Overall very happy! Lifetime warranty too. Smell from shutter paint was rather strong for first couple of days, so make sure to keep house ventilated 24 hours or longer.

This is the second time I ordered shutters from Thrifty Shutters. Joel came out to do measurements, and Tony installed them few weeks later. They did a great job.

Tom arrived at our home on the day and time scheduled for removal of shutters from two windows. We were given an approximate time from for the job. We were called within that time frame advising us our shutters were ready for installaion. We scheduled an instillation appointment. Tom showed up on time to install our shutters on time. He is a perfectionist with his work, very professional. We have used Thrifty Shutters previously (approx. 3 months ago), had two other sets of shutters refinished. Thrifty does a beautiful job refinishing shutters. We are so pleased with the quality of their work, and dealing with Thrifty Shutters!
