Things started out well. The company's representative (Dave) arrived on time and was reasonably pleasant. He took some measurements and told me that I would receive his company's bid via email during the following week. After many apologies for "computer problems" and "staffing problems", I finally received the bid about three weeks later. The company bid $10,200 for the job, which was about 60% higher than the average of the three other bids that I received. Again, this was just to replace the siding on one side of my home (as a point of reference, the house has about 1,900 square feet of interior space).

After we talked to several siding companies, we noticed that Dave from specialty siding was carefully trying to match our siding repair needs and budget, while other siding companies either tried to persuade us to switch to products we didn't want, or were giving us too high price. David was very responsive, promptly returned calls, brought us siding samples each time we requested. We ended up replacing 3 feet high and about 74 feet in length of the siding on two sides of the house in our backyard area. Specialty siding carried Hardy planks we wanted, and the price with installation was very competitive, better than Home Depot installer could offer with all of the store discounts. Dave from specialty siding helped us to select the color of Hardie planks to provide the best complement to the color to the original shingle siding of our house. After the work completed, we were amazed by how professionally done and neat looking siding became! The work was done in less then 3 days, the work area was left very clean, and the house looks as if the builder originally designed siding with 2 separate contrasting, but complementary colors. We couldn't be happier... Even now, after more than a year since work was done, the color of the replaced zone of the siding still looks as if it is "freshly painted"! Thank you, Dave and "Specialty Siding"! Should we need any more work done to the house in the future, we will definitely hire you again!

They were honest, ethical, clean, they got the job done with quality. No comparison, we didn't compare them to others.

The whole project went very well and the crew was very professional and polite. they took great care not to disrupt our garden, and cleaned up the area after each day.

Due to poor initial building of our house, over the years moisture had come inside the walls and produced a mold problem. We had to manage the issue from several aspects, and siding was a major factor in preventing further water damage to our home. Specialty Siding worked us in to their schedule as soon as possible, trying to "beat the rain" before we had more issues to deal with! They removed the siding, taped all seams, used flashing and secured the moisture barrier, then replaced with new fiber cement siding and caulked. We would not hesitate to highly recommend them.

They are a contractor and we had some other estimates that were cheaper but they were from handyman so it's a question of how good it would be done. They were a little expensive compared to other estimates we got. We haven't had the work done yet. They were high but other than that, the process of them coming out to give the estimate went well. They were very professional.

These guys were by far the cheapest providers. They were very professional and responsive. The contract was clear and explicit and there were absolutely no issues. They were able to knock out the job in one day and it looks great. Not only would I recommend them without reservation, I plan to use them to do a much larger job at my place in a few months. If you need siding done, USE THESE GUYS!!!

I contacted this company they seemed exceptionally knowledgeable. I specifically asked if they serviced the Sherman Oaks area. I was told they did and I never heard from them again. It is very frustrating to have a job to be done, money to pay for it and not find a contractor....

They did an amazing job. I'd highly recommend them. we got them off Angie's List. They didn't clean up after themselves but everything else was great.

Their estimate was free. They started the work in August, and they are still at it. They do very good work. I am very happy with their responsiveness. Overall, I definitely would recommend them in the future. All the guys that work for them are very personable. They clean up every day. They stick to the budget. I would definitely consider using them again in the future.

I cannot say enough good things about this company. The sales person, Dave was out to the job numerous times to check the progress. I called the office several times with questions and these were addressed immediately. I pointed out a couple of areas that were of concern to me and Dave had the crew redo those sections. The owner of the company, Mike came by the house to check the work as well. I am very pleased with the new look of the house and would and have recommended this company to anyone who wants to replace wood with the Hardy Board product.
