During the first visit Colin seemed eager to do the job and motivated to offer a fair price. My yard and plants were still in pretty clean condition because I had Just had this type of service work completed in January. My pet peeve is when these guys don't show on time or not at all and then don't even call so needless to say I have fired several of these "clean-up" companies in the last few years. I was hopeful with Neighbors Envy. He did a good job of the trimming but the overall cleanup was not to good. He allowed leaves and debris to blow into our cul-de-sac and my neighbors yards. Some of them even mentioned it to me later. I discussed it with him and he promised to do better next time. Can't ask for much more once the "leaves are lost". I recommended him to a friend with the understanding that my friend would make sure he got what he wanted and evidently after several cancels and a very late arrival NEL showed up to do my friends job. Needless to say there were a lot of problems of which I promptly heard about from my friend. That's always a bit embarrassing. Nonetheless I decided to give NEL another shot at it because all and all the problems at my place were fairly minor and I just had a really hard time believing NEL was that bad. Anyone can have an off day. I set an appointment with Colin/NEL and low and behold the guy NOSHAOWED. I finally called and officially cancelled thru a phone message but even with that NEL didn't even have the decency to call and follow-up. Sorry but as they say "Your Fired!" People are busy and you'll never have a problem if where you suppose to be doing what your suppose to do. Don't use them. Don't know what is going on in this Landscape/Maintenance industry out here in the west but this seems to be a very common story. I owned several businesses and the phrase "working for yourself" couldn't be a bigger oxymoron.
