Azteca's Landscaping

The city wanted us to trim a tree that was too far into the street. It was already cracking our driveway so we decided to cut it down. We tried a couple of vendors on Angie's List but they couldn't make it out in time for the city's deadline, so my husband started to trim it himself, with the hope of getting someone to cut it down later. This was of course a crazy thing to do for a guy with a hand saw and a ladder. He did a little bit each day, leaving limbs everywhere in the yard (which would themselves be a problem with the city). One day during this process we found a business card from Azteca on the door, but didn't call them. The next time my husband was out attempting to trim the tree, Rogelio from Azteca came by, asked if he wanted help, and offered a very fair price ($300) for tree removal (minus the stump) and taking away the mess, plus some other growth we had cut down in the alley. We agreed to the price and he came back about an hour later with a team who made short work of it. They left the yard spotless. A few weeks later, Rogelio came back to offer to remove the stump for $100. We agreed and he came back the next day (a little later in the day than I expected, but it was okay). Again the yard was left spotless and the work was well done. I appreciated the follow-through as well! My husband had been struggling to drill holes in the stump to try to kill it, without much luck. He took checks - which was a plus - and was very professional. We would use him again for tree work.
