One visit to get measurements and choose a style. 2-3 weeks to build the gate, and scheduled it on a day I was available - but they could have replaced it without me there (my choice). It took them about one hour to remove and replace the existing gate and the new gate looks beautiful, is perfectly aligned all around, and works perfect! The Sunset person was very friendly and spoke to me while he worked (really - I didn't stand there bothering him - just walked out for a few minutes to see him working.)

Punctual service. Prompt return of phone calls. Gave estimate and returned to complete job. When I wasn't happy with height of gate, they came back out and placed it how I wanted it. Great job.

-Shawn is very punctual, and does exacting work. Helped us decide on the design of the gates, gave us a detailed quote, and provided a drawing of the proposed finished product. He came by several times before the work started to be sure all measurements and details were correct. Excellent quality work, timely installation. I would highly recommend him.

He brought some I called Sunset Gates based on the reviews in Angies list. I had not heard of them before. My call was answered by Shawn McPeters who couldn't have been nicer or more professional. We set up an appointment for him to come look at the work I was requesting in a timely manner that met both of our schedules. In the meantime, he sent me some brochures to look at and get ideas for what look I liked. He showed up on time and spent a lot of time looking at what I wanted done and giving me helpful suggestions. After deciding on a particular style, he told me it would be around 3 weeks to manufacture the gates and have them installed. He asked for about a 1/3 down payment and said the balance would be due after installation and I was satisfied. He called about 3 weeks later to inform me that the gates were done and that he would be out to install. No one needed to be there because he knew I travel for business a lot. When I asked about paying him the balance, he said when you get home take a look and see if your satisfied. Give me call then. When I got I home I was stunned at how great they looked and functioned. They made a huge visual improvement to the look of the house, and they function wonderful. The balance due was exactly what we agreed to when I ordered them. No surprises. Can't say enough good about Shawn and Sunset Gates!!

My experience with Sunset Gates was professional from the beginning. When I called they came to my house for an estimate very promptly. When he arrived On Time !!, He educated me on a lot of important factors regarding the gate. This was important because I was wanting a custom R.V. gate. Needed to tear down existing wall and build a pillar for proper codes and support. Which the last Gate guy never mentioned. Everyone showed up on time as agreed from the masonry guy too the Installer. This was not a inexpensive project. Because I decided to have the Pro Series gate built. I have worked in the manufacturing industry for over 25 years. The gate is very solid , clean construction and design. Was worth every penny. Truly the finest quality I have ever seen. Important factor for me was they did not try to up sale me. AWESOME JOB SUNSET GATES LLC. !!!!!!!

The entire project, start to finish could not have gone more smoothly. We were able to view more photos of gate options in Shawn's portfolio when he came to the house. The work order/invoice was so detailed that we knew exactly what to expect. A color choice we were interested in for the frame wasn't in his samples so he dropped the sample off a few days later. The powder coating looks awesome, very smooth and even. At first we were hesitant to go with the composite wood, yet it looks great with the dark bronze powder coating - very low maintenance compared to our old wood gate. The installer, Kyle was very polite, friendly and professional. He worked for a long time, getting everything just right. He had adjusted the lower part of the gate so it would close gently on it's own, without a "thump". He also showed us how we can adjust the closing of the gate, should we want to change it. It closes perfectly on its own. The owner, Shawn went the extra mile by enhancing the look, esthetically, on the back or "yard" side of the gate. He could have charged extra for powder coating the large nuts/bolts on the back of the gate, yet didn't.. We're so pleased with our new gate, front and back side. We had recently bought a new deadbolt for our old wood gate. They polished it up, adding it to the new handle assembly and deducted $35. off the total for using our lock. It looks brand new and matches the handle perfectly. They did not charge for removing/hauling the old gate away. Our neighbors are so impressed, they asked for Sunset Gates name/number. It's now been over a month since getting our new gate and we can't believe all the compliments we receive. Our pool man says he's now noticing gates and ours is the best looking he's seen!

I was planning on several estimates for a new gate to secure the new masonry walls in my back yard. I called and ended up meeting with Shawn, who is just an amazing guy. I was so impressed with his attention to detail during he quotation process. I wasn't really sure as to what I wanted, thankfully his company already has several lines of amazing gates that you can pick from. He came with samples of the slats (I wanted a composite material), plus a huge photo book of examples - so anything I asked about he was able to show me what it would look like. I was looking over the brochure while he was taking measures and had to even comment on how their least expensive gate series is far, far better than any of the builder installed gates I see everywhere - yet the pricing is still competitive in my opinion. After seeing pictures of his work and reading about the quality of their product, I didn't hesitate to confirm the order then and there. The opening where the gate went was an odd angle, and Shawn ran all the scenarios to make sure it would work well and work the way I wanted. It's a nice surprise to run across someone who is really passionate about what they do, and does all of the little extra things to build and deliver a great product - because they want it to be great. That's how I would describe Shawn. The gate was installed on time, and it looks amazing. I never thought I could get excited about a gate, however I love our new gate! It's solid, it looks great, and I know it will last for a long time to come. When ordering I added on a few things such as privacy straps, self closing spring, kickplate and handle with deadbolt. I'm pleased with all. The gate is solid and secure, exactly what I wanted. With the composite material I don't have to worry about wood slats drying up in the AZ sun. I could not have asked for a better experience!

Everything went good with this purchase and installation. I requested an estimate on the gate and they sent me a flyer which showed their most popular gates and approximate cost. This gave me an idea of what type of gate to choose and the cost before Shawn McPeters arrived to give me the estimate. Shawn arrived on time to make the estimate and explained the process to me. I decided on the gate I wanted and paid one third down and was told it would be installed in two weeks. About two weeks later Shawn called and told me the gate had been made and he was ready to install. We set it up for the next day and the installer arrived on time and did a excellent job of installing the gate. I was very pleased with my new gate purchased from Sunset Gates and would highly recommend them to anyone needing a new gate.

They came out within a day or so of calling for an estimate with a whole host of options to choose from. We picked out what we wanted and ordered the same day as we had already seen other contractors and knew they could give us a gate with the options we wanted. It took about 3 weeks from order to have it fabricated and installed. Installation went smoothly and the people were very courteous, neat and took pride in their work. They even called a few days after the install to make sure we were completely satisfied. I would use them again!

Shawn, the owner, was professional, friendly, and prompt. He was patient while showing me the options for a small gate and offered suggestions as to the best way to enclose the courtyard. The gate was finished and installed in a timely manner and, although it was not inexpensive, is of high quality. Shawn even adjusted one of my backyard gates that was not closing properly. I would definitely use Sunset Gates again.

When I first called Sunset Gates Sean promptly answered my call. All of my questions were answered, and he scheduled my consultation for when it was most convenient for me. When he came over he had several examples and pictures for us to choose from. I ended up getting another quote, but Sean's price beat it. The gate was installed a couple of weeks ago, again at a time that was most convenient for us, and we love it! The quality of the gate is great, and looks beautiful. Who knew a gate could be beautiful?!?! Sean even came by at the end of the install to make sure it was perfect- and it was! We have gotten several compliments and our only regret was not getting the gate sooner!

In January 2013 we contacted Sunset Gates on the recommendation of a neighbor who had had his RV gate replaced by them. They were prompt, friendly, professional, answered all our questions and guided us through the process. While working with them on price for the side gate, we decided we could also afford to have them install a front door entry gate. The company's owner worked with us on price and style on both gates and everything was done on time. In mid-summer we noticed that there seemed to be some warping on the RV gate. We called Sunset Gates. They came out promptly and determined that some of the bolts were overtightened. He made the adjustments and all boards straightened out. We are very happy with our gates and Sunset Gates and recommend them without reservation.

Guy was able to provide a quick estimate for a gate. Did not come out, which I love. Was up front about costs.

Sunset Gates is great! We had an estimate from another company but they never returned our phone call to setup the install. Other companies never returned our initial phone call. We found Sunset Gates and the process was great. They replaced 2 smaller gates and 1 RV gate for us. The gates look fantastic and the fact that they could install them when we were out of town was nice. Shawn was very easy to work with from our initial contact through the final payment. Highly recommended!

Needed to replace old gate. Shawn was right on time for our appointment and had my gate ready within ten days. On day of install workers were right on time and new gate looks great. I will use them again in the future.

The quote for the job that I received from Sunset Gates seemed very fair, especially in light of some of the other quotes that I had received. The gates turned out exactly how I wanted and look great. Shawn communicated the progress well with me and I found him to be very professional.

After receiving several quotes for installation of an RV gate, I was impressed with the quality for the price and decided to go with Sunset Gates. Installation included tearing out the existing block wall, building new pillars, and finishing with stucco. Installation took 2 days. In the event, the job went as described and the old gate was removed and the new one efficiently installed in one morning's work. I now have a clean, attractive, and, above all, smoothly functioning side gate. All involved - the salesman and the installers - were professional and enjoyable to interact with. Very professional, courteous and high quality. Came same day to give me a quote, showed me different options. I made choice and about a week or so later they came and installed it.
