My fiancé and I just moved into a new house and we noticed the gate was beginning to rust. One weekend we attempted to chip off the old paint and were planning on repainting it ourselves but realized that the job would be too time consuming for just the two of us. We also found that it was going to be difficult to paint under the gate being that it was only a few centimeters off of the ground. We liked that Marcel offered electrostatic painting. We figured this would solve the rust problem in hard to reach places. My fiancé got a quote online after stating the width/length of gate and sending pictures. We picked out our paint at Dunn-Edwards and they scheduled an appointment with us to come out on a Saturday. During that week (on a Wednesday) it rained. Marcel called to tell us that they were now running behind in their appointments so they pushed our date back 1 week. The next week 2 men came out and painted our fence it took them approx. 4 hours. The next day after the paint had dried we went outside to inspect their work. Everything looked great except the underside of the gate. There were rust patches still visible along with old flaking paint still attached. We want to maintain the integrity of the gate for years. My fiancé emailed Marcel and requested they come out to fix it. Marcel did not initially respond. My fiancé then called Marcel and spoke with the receptionist who said she had already talked to me (I had not spoken with them about that). Finally I called and questioned the receptionist about this and she said there must have been a mix up. She scheduled the painters to come back out the next day. A man came out and repainted the underside of the gate and now we are happy with the results. The process of getting the gate painted was somewhat of a headache but the quality appears to be good.

We can't give anything but the best rating for everything.

I am very pleased with the results of stripping wallpaper that was almost 20 years old and making the walls look like they are brand new. My master bath looks huge compared to what it was with the old wallpaper staring at me every day! I was so afraid the wallpaper would be difficult to remove but Richard performed his little magic and it was all off the first day! The paint match was perfect, too. They did a great job cleaning up, I have no complaints and am so happy to have a job completed that I had been putting off for quite a while.

Marcel was the lowest of the three bids I obtained and I was very happy with the job that was done. There was miscommunication /lack of communication between myself and the office trying to set up the job, but once it the two-man crew arrived, they worked hard for 4 days. At the completion of the job, there were several areas that still needed to be addressed/fixed - but they were done quickly once I pointed them out. Overall, I was happy with the price and the results.

1. Sprayed green paint onto my newly done tile neutral color roof. 2. Removed the window screens and didn't replace them correctly...they are not aligned they're are off track 3. There are beige and green spots on the new Air Conditioning outside the the house. 4. The front door and the screen security doors were painted with acrylic paint and a few days later some areas blistered and we had to repaint them rather than to call them again to make a mess. 5. The metal pool fence was also done very poorly. The worker they brought in to paint it came in with a great big hat, didn't speak English, and just plastered the paint very sloppily and also spreading paint over the rocks around the fence. They did come to supposedly clean the areas, but again, not very satisfactory. I gave up on calling because it's more aggravating to have to wait for them to make another mess. I WILL NEVER HIRE THEM AGAIN. AND I HOPE PEOPLE WHO DO, WILL MAKE SURE THEY KNOW HOW TO COVER THE AREAS THEY WILL NOT BE PAINTING. LIKE THE NEW CAGE OF OUR A/C

They did a fantastic job, from initial assessment and proposal to the power-washing and patching prep work to the cleanup afterward. The painters were polite. They were careful with my things. The lead painter kept me informed of progress and when they'd be back the next day.

The Provider was to show up to provide an exterior painting quote on Wednesday 9/11/2013. The provider contacted us 15 minutes before the scheduled appointment time to say that they where "sick" and would not be able to make it. They re-scheduled the appointment for Sunday the 14th. The provider did show up this time and was on time. We walked the property and discussed what we wanted painted. The provider also suggested replacing some of the siding and re-doing the trim on the garage door. I asked to have the garage door trim included in the quote and to provide a separate quote for the siding. He stated he would and that he would have a quote to us later that day. The quote finally came on Wednesday 9/18/2013. Okay, three days later then promised, I could over look that.... However, when I opened the quote is was just a standard painting quote, it did not address any of the additional trim work we discussed, and they did not provide us with the additional quote of having the siding replaced. Take it as you want, however I feel that if you don't take the time to get the quotes right, then your probably not going to take the time to get the exterior paining right either.

The first day was a little off, as there was a communication issue regarding interior vs. exterior painting, but once we got past that it went really well. The paint job is beautiful, and gives my house a "new house" look and feel. Awesome work on the stairs. I had previously hired someone to install wood flooring and the stairs came out really shoddy, with gaps between the base boards and steps, a total eye sore. Marcel guys repaired all the gaps, repainted the baseboards and railings, which totally took away the sore eye look. I plan to paint the exterior in the fall, and will definitely use Marcel again. I had two other quotes, and all were very closely priced, but I felt that Marcel added personal touch. In contrast, one of the other painting firms made me feel as though I was wasting their time.

His name is Kelly Mardis. I was happy with the work. They were easy to work with, and they met the timelines.

A two-man crew arrived on time, repaired and skim coated ceilings in large living room/dining room area, then primed and painted ceilings, walls and woodwork. Luis and his helper were very professional, moved and covered furniture with care, and completed the job in one day. It was the best painting job we have ever had done.

They did a great job, quick -efficient and reasonably priced

The company was on time and reasonably priced. My experience was perfect for a rental house. If it was my primary resident, the quality might not have been good enough. They promised to let the caulking, etc. (prep work) dry before painting. They did not keep this promise. Also, they forgot to paint the second coat on the trim and we had to call them to come back. However, when called they were back on the job correcting within 24 hours. Given the price, I could not have asked for better service.

Prompt, professional and thorough walk around and estimate. The price was competetive but we decided to go with another company.

The painters arrived on time each day, moved all furniture, covered all work areas and rolled paint on entire interior of the house, including the walls and ceiling. The work was done well, the crew arrived promptly each day, and the quality was terrific. There was one incident where one of the painters accidentally hit our new refrigerator with a ladder, and scratched the front of one of the doors. Kelly (the owner at Marcel Painting), very promptly took care of the problem and actually ordered a new refrigerator door, and had a Samsung repair company deliver and replace the door (and would not accept payment from me until the door was replaced and we were happy). Accidents happen, but the way a company responds and makes situations right is the true measure of a solid business. I absolutely would not hesitate to use Marcel Painting again in the future!

They did a great job. The owner did the estimate and he was very personable. He took the time to explain everything the crew would do. Genuine in his demeanor. He was very resonable in his pricing.

I called two different companies to bid on the painting job. Marcel was actually quite a bit higher priced, but I found Marcel's estimator to be much more thorough and more professional than the other company. In fact, I got the sense that the other company was low-balling me and wouldn't be able to do it for the price quoted (their estimate referred to their methods for painting my "stucco" house, but my house is entirely brick, not stucco). So, I emailed the estimator, David, and told him about the competing quote; he promptly responded, lowering the price to much closer to the range of their competitor, but still a bit higher. Because I just had a better feel from dealing with David (and I thought it was a fair price for the detail I wanted), we went with Marcel, despite the slightly higher price. The work crew was 3 guys -- Juan, Juan, and Martin. They were on time, thorough, professional, courteous, and did a very nice job. On the final walk through, I noted a couple of small issues and they immediately fixed them. I can't think of anything they could have improved upon to make the job turn out better. I'm quite glad that I chose to use Marcel.

Marcel was very quick to provide the estimates, performed the work efficiently, cleaned up nicely. The office and workers had a great attitude and responded to all my questions.

They did a good job painting and cleaning up afterwards. They were professional and accommodating with our schedule.

They arrived on time and kept me informed of their activities. The project lasted over two days.

I had 3 different bids and Kelly was in the middle but his professionalism was the top...His crew came out and did the work in a timely manor and was respectful. We loved the color and they cleaned up everything.

Contractor came on time and did exactly what they had said they would do. They were very careful to please the customer.

They said they would be able to start right away, which is why I hired them due to the time constraints, but I've been very disappointed. The closet that he said he painted, still had cobwebs in it. The bathroom was ok, but the fixtures were not put back up. The kitchen has only a single coat of paint. The living room was not done well. You can still see all of the marks on the walls that he was supposed to cover, because he only did 1 coat. There are doorstops and fixtures lying everywhere. He is supposed to be back today to finish the job. I complained and he came out and added another coat (with thicker paint this time) and installed the towel rack. He also fixed some areas that needed paint in the ceiling (which were not part of the original contract). In the end the job was well done but it took three times to get there. It was completed Wednesday in time for the renter to move in Thursday and Friday as planned.

He was very professional, organized, punctual, and courteous. I would use them and again and would recommend them to others.
