Bottom line, my brother and dad are both builders. I know what a project should cost and I know expert craftsmanship. Their pricing was right on not inflated like the other 4 contractors we interviewed. We knew from the first 15 minutes that Salvador was our guy. Why? He didn't try to justify overpricing. He said what is your budget for the kitchen? Ok, here are three ways we can go about it to make it fit your budget. Professionalism He was always on time He was always available by cell phone and text. He answered many questions and did so immediately His crew was extremely polite, clean, and always were professional Salvador blew everyone away and made my wife feel very comfortable about a 1 month major project. He oversaw every single major milestone, provided a written timeline, and met with us in detail just before the project to make sure we understood everything. I could barely get contractors to call me back to get my business! Trust me you don't want to be dealing with a contractor who doesn't even want to earn your business. Above and Beyond His guys painted a second coat of paint where there was water damage from sprinklers - no extra charge His guys filled wood cracks on the exterior - no extra charge His guys hung our address tiles - no extra charge His guys put in a seat in the shower and cut outs - wasn't asked for and no extra charge He found vanities in our budget - ripped off the granite and replaced with our matching kitchen granite - no extra charge He found tile that got our price per sq. ft way below all other quotes He found us great electricians and plumbers - no extra charge Save yourself heart ache and just call Salvador. I promise you he will not only meet but blow away your expectations! I wish I could show before and after pics because the review doesn't even do justice to the level of craftsmanship these guys gave us.

Did great work, new shower is very nice!

All of the people who worked on removing and replacing the shower did a great job. The only glitch was the need to redo the drain because it was originally above floor level. This "surprise" added $750 to the cost.Other work added to the $1899 quoted price bringing the total to $3000. Higher than the original estimate but fair given what was done. Also, the additional work extended the time needed to complete the job. SGM gave us options for trying to get the work done as quickly as possible.

Contacted SGM Construction and left my name and number in order to obtain an estimate for exterior painting. Did not return my phone call.

Salvador showed up when promised, took the measurements and said he would email the estimate, he did as he said, we agreed on a price and start date, he said the project would be completed in 5 days and he kept his word. his crew showed up when the said and started the work. they demoed the old tub, re-located the drain and diverter and set the concrete for the pan. His tile guy, Ray, built the pan and then tiled the shower. Every step of the way was as he said it would be. I had some reservations as his contractors license is relatively new and he has only 10 reviews on Angie's list but I was pleasantly surprised. They all wee easy to work with and were professional in all ways. The only item I would like to see him expand on is up-selling. I am a contractor and used to dealing with customers that have an idea of what they want/need but don't know enough about the issues to ask the right questions. I would have probably have added a few more things like a shower seat and additional soap/shampoo holders had I known what to ask. baring that I am very pleased with the work they did and will use them when I remodel the kitchen and bath cabinets.

No services were offered or paid for. I was inquiring for an in home appraisal prior to the big deal purchase to avoid extra costs/fees.

Awesome experience! Very professional. What I appreciated the most is Salvador really listened to what I wanted tans gave me options in the area I was unsure. I would absolutely do future business with he and his team.

Salvadore arrived on time, was very knowledgeable, very pleasant, was easy to understand, understood what I wanted to have done. I have communicated with him a number of times since January, because I have put off having work done due to tenants. I will eventually have work done. His bid was timely.

I had made an appointment for him to come today at 9:00. at 9:15 I called him and asked where he was, he told me he had received a text from me to reschedule for noon. I would never send a text to someone to reschedule an appointment, and i think it is very unprofessional for him not to follow-up with a phone call about something like this.

Responsive in setting an appointment. Nice workers. However, once the owners showed up, the workers seemed to slow their pace significantly. I wondered if he was hoping to get an additional job at a regular price and not maximizing the workers for the deal I had purchased. Were it not for this "slow down" that came after the owner visited, I would have given them an A.

SGM started the job on time. There were two workers; one doing crack repair and one painter. The owner accompanied the workers; introduced them; explained what my Big Deal would cover. The amount of work I had to be done was more than even I realized, and the painter worked super hard and fast to finish what I had envisioned being able to accomplish. The owner spent some time helping with repair work as the repair workman had to be moved to another job after the first day. I was very pleased with the work done. However, I got little help with clean up. They did help me with heavy items and removing plastic. However, the tape which held the plastic to the carpet stuck so well, my $5K carpeting is pulled loose from baseboards and unraveling in some places. I couldn't remove tape from one shag throw rug so had to toss it. Though they used masking tape, you could use this stuff for industrial jobs. Overall, I have to commend the owner for making sure I received as much bang for my buck as possible. I am a senior citizen and greatly appreciate his efforts.

Everything went as planned, the only negative would be the cleanup after the job. The bathroom should have been guarded with plastic during the entire job. Our entire house was covered in a silty substance that it seems I'll forever be cleaning up.

They were always there when they said they would be, sometimes 10-15 minutes early, very professional and anything that I asked of them they did with absolutely no problem. Cleaned up every day so I never had to bother with that.

The owner sent over one painter who didn't speak english but was a very good painter. He was slow and I thought the owner was coming to help also. He had told me on the phone that he would be helping his worker. Thank goodness he didn't have to move any big furniture as their was no one to help him. I was told they could finish 2 rooms but only one got finished.

Worker arrived on time. He did not speak english, but knew what to do. Owner arrived soon after and helped with sheetrock repair so it could dry in time for paint. This offer was intended to be either sheet rock repair or paint. Since my repair was very small he was able to accommodate me. He made sure all was going well before leaving the painter to finish.

They painted and they didn’t make a mess and they showed up on time. But I wasn’t really happing about the coverage of the ceiling paint. I felt like you could see it needed another coat. They weren’t bad but it was average service.

I think they did a pretty good job, but the only thing is that it didn't cover the materials. It would've been good to get a quote for that ahead of time. I had purchased the deal for $1499 to use a contractor for a week, but it was actually over $300 more with all of the materials. It's fine, but that's a cost that people need to consider. I haven't gone in the attic to actually look at how they did the vents, but they're working so I'm assuming he did it properly. I think overall they did a really good job. There were two things that they weren't able to finish due to time which was totally fine. I asked for a quote for the rest of the work and I just haven't gotten to it yet. They responded, came on time and the work itself was good; but their quote was a little vague.

I really thought a professional painter would do a much better job than I could - not so. He did a very sloppy job. My bad that I didn't call to complain and request a re-do, but got hit with a recurring illness and have been out of commission. On the bright side, the painting I did myself in other areas of the house matches the sloppiness of the bedroom and bath.

They came to repair drywall on high vaulted ceilings. They were timely, very professional and very neat and tidy. The owner was watching over everything. He was very nice and very fair. They came back the following week and painted it for me. I would definitely use him again!!!!!

I love him. The fireplace looks gorgeous. He was very responsive and got things done in a timely fashion. He would return my calls. I have nothing good to say about him. He tried to please and he did.

They first remodeled my hall bathroom by removing the old tile and tub, replacing it with new drywall and a large walk-in shower with with tile. This was completed in only four days and looked wonderful. They then remodeled my master bathroom by remodeling the old shower with new dry wall and tile and retailed around the garden tub. It also turned out wonderful. Now, they are going to install new duel sinks and countertops. I plan on having them remodel my kitchen in the near future after the holidays. I am so pleased with their work and so very grateful for Angie's List for recommending them!!!!!

Mr. Gonzales came by to estimate the amount of materials and approximate time needed to do the job. When learning the drywall repair would not take the full time, I arranged to have the ceiling painted as well. The repairman arrived on time, taped plastic over the floors and items in the room. The ceiling took 2 gallons of paint due to extreme staining. He then repaired all the holes, taped, and textured. Mr. Gonzales arrived as the drywall repair began, and added an extra pair of hands to finish the job. I'm extremely pleased with the quality of workmanship, and the cleanup was complete. It looks wonderful! I would defiinately use SGM again.
