The service was outstanding and this review is long over due. First and foremost our doggies had a great week and were well taken care of. What was exceptional about our experience was their ability to accommodate our needs. Our trip was unexpectedly extended due to bad weather and TLC was kind enough to add additional days at the last minute. They truly cared about our dog's well being and for that I am forever grateful!

I completely trust TLC for the best in house and pet sitting and couldn't make my busy and hectic life work without them! Every member of the team is caring, considerate, professional and all-around wonderful to work with. They've been with me for 3 years now and simply are the best

I like this pet sitting service. Let me tell you why. I have used other pet sitting services, and have had some issues, lost keys and other issues. Nothing major, but enough for me to look for another. I called Margie and she came over to my house to meet my pets and talk to me about my needs. She wants you to provide a lot of information and be specific. I see this as a good thing because that way there are less misunderstandings. She likes to keep her hours as posted, and I get that, otherwise she is working 24/7. She did however call me back on a weekend as I had an event to go to and forgot my wife would be travelling, and needed her to take the dogs out so they would not be alone all day without going out. She was there to help, and is very professional in how she operates her business. I know they stay the entire time, as I have an alarm system that records the time. It would be a nice touch for the sitter as a general practice to send a text daily as to the status of the animals and the house, as it is peace of mind for the client. If I want something new, I just write it in my instruction sheet and they will oblige. Overall I know that I can count on Margie and her team to do what I ask and to make sure my home and pets are safe. Tiggy, Duchess and Zoey

TLC While You're Away Is an amazing pet sitting service. Margie and her team are dependable, compassionate and trust worthy to take care of my pets while I'm out of town. TLC While You're Away give me peace of mind that my four legged children are receiving excellent care and love when I need to be away from them. We have been very pleased with the service provided. Margie is great, and obviously cares about the animals she and her staff are taking care of. We have used them 3 times so far, most recently over the 4th of July weekend. They are dependable which we appreciate greatly. We also appreciate the daily notes that they write when they come to take care of our 2 cats and 1 dog. We would recommend them to anyone looking for this kind of service. Thanks !

Always, I have peace of mind when TLC is in charge. My dogs are well cared-for, happy, healthy, and content. The pet provider always leaves a paragraph after each visit detailing how the dogs are feeling, getting along, etc. On more than one occasion they have brought to my attention that a particular dog on a particular visit may have been 'off' that day. I count on them to keep me informed. When I am traveling, they provide multiple visits each day and will even spend the night if needed. They help with additional tasks also such as taking garbage cans in and out, etc., bringing in newspapers, etc. They clean up poop each visit, give treats, tummy rubs, toss fetch balls, etc. Their presence in my home is actually the same as having a family member here for my pets. My dogs love them and so do I!

Margie was very professional and spent about 1.5 hours going through our house and talking to us about her services. She was very knowledgeable about caring for birds and homes. We felt very comfortable leaving our bird in her care and signed all the paperwork. However, we did not end up using TLC because our bird got sick and needed to stay with a vet for the time we were away. Margie will definitely be the first person we call when we need a house or pet sitter.

It went very very well. Extremely professional. I had to fill out a page information for each dog and for my house. I came home to detailed notes of each day, what the sitter did, how the dogs behaved, etc. My house was immaculant, paper and mail brought in. One of the dogs was throwing up, everything was cleaned up perfectly. Had a minor problem with one of the dogs, but the company was so responsive and everything was handled terrifically. I would recommend this company to anyone!

Margie was great. I just moved to the area and have to go away. I called Margie and she came the next day. She and her employee Sarah were wonderful. They were very professional, extremely organized and efficient. They thought of everything. Most important my motley crew love them. Thanks Margie!!!!!

They are wonderful, caring and do a fantastic job. I trust Margie when she offers advice, as she knows what she is doing. She was so helpful when we got a new kitten who might have had feline leukemia and had to remain separate from the other cats we have (happily the kitten tested negative for it!). We've used them for years and never worry about leaving our pets. They take the time to learn the personality of each our pets and even the one cat that is a bit scared comes out to greet. It's very rare to find a company that cares this much about doing a great job. It's peace of mind to travel and know your pets are in very good and caring hands. Thank you so much!

after an in home visit, i refused to use this service, I would never use this service. I never felt that my dogs or my home was safe or cared for with this service. I never felt that my needs as a dog parent family were ever addressed, it was all about pet care only mon-fri 9-5 for the business. Pet care is not just Monday thru Friday 9-5. so much of our initial visit conversation was so negatively astonishing to me, that i would never ever feel safe trusting my family dogs to TLC. its a long story from our conversation in home visit, way too much to put here. i shall never trust or respect or call them again.

These professional dog walkers are life savers when you are going through busy times. My dogs are happy when I get home. My dogs like being visited by them. I am thankful I found TLC on Angie's List.

They are always attentive at providing the special environment my pets need as one is geriatric and the other is overly anxious. They not only want to learn the specific traits about your pets, but also want to know everything that you want cared for in your home when they are there. I would recommend them highly to anyone.

Very well. We have used them before and they always do an outstanding job. They leave notes of their visit. Our cats are always content when we come back unlike our experience with other cat sitters.

Our experience with TLC While You're Away was great! We received daily updates on how our dogs was doing and when we came home we found that she was her happy normal self and wasn't mad at us for leaving her for a few days. Having someone stay at our house gave us peace of mind that not only was our house being looked after but also that our dog was given the same love and attention that we would have given her. We will definitely be using their services again!

Overall, I am very happy with the service provided by TLC While you're away. Each day them came to visit with my dogs and cat they left detailed notes of their interaction with my pets. I checked in once to see how things were going and all things were good. When I returned from vacations the dogs were excited to see me... and behavior had actually improved! I signed up for 3 visits a day which was perfect and my pets loved all the attention they received. I highly recommend TLC While you're away, to provide peace of mind while you are on vacation or even a business trip. PLEASE NOTE: Give Margie and Debbie plenty of notice before you leave... usually two weeks in advance , they are booking up fast for the summer months ahead!. A very satisfied Customer for life!

The first few months of the year is my busy season at work. I wanted to find someone that could take care of my pets so that I wouldn't feel the stress of rushing home to do it and guilt over not being there for them. What I liked most about Margie was her directness and organization. Just from my first conversation with her I knew she had a well run company that was efficient and priced very reasonably. However, I was MOST pleasantly surprised after I hired her to find out that she is incredibly responsive to any communication, always willing to help if I have a last minute request or change in service, and my pets just love her and her team members. I can tell because when I get home at night, they are always well fed and happy to see me. I have no worries about my pets with Margie and her team taking care of them. It is a huge relief! I love the little notes they leave every day explaining how their time spent with my pets went. I would recommend TLC While You're Away to anyone looking for a per sitter or dog walker!

As an adult, I have owned pets for the last 15 years and I have never hired a dog walker before. Other than the vet, I have always been very hesitant trusting any one to take care of my dogs when I am not around to supervise. I have always feared that something bad would happen like the dogs getting loose and running away or getting hit by a car. In a short period of time, TLC put me at ease. Our first interview with TLC included the owner being introduced to my dogs, reviewing TLC's services and the services contract. I found TLC to be very thorough and came across very genuine. My dogs reactions to TLC appeared to be positive. Just after a short period of time, I can tell my dogs love their walks and visits with TLC and the attention they get from TLC when I am not around. I would recommend TLC to any one who may be needing similar services.

Lisa, our pet sitter arrived each day at the arranged time and sent me progress reports daily via texts. She contacted me when our dog was not eating to get suggestions and kept me posted on her progress. Lisa cleaned our house when pet accidents occurred, picked up the news paper and mail daily, and left the house clean and in order. Our dog was very happy when we returned and acted as though we had never left. We have left her with friends and family in he past when we traveled and this was the happiest we have ever seen her when we returned. Lisa left me a daily written log documenting her visits each day and texted me upon my return to make sure I was home and our dog was doing well. Overall, a very positive experience and we will use TLC again the next time we travel.

We had a professional petsitter for 9 years prior--but the owner took on too many other jobs and she became too pre-occupied to deal with her primary pet sitting job. I was a bit worried about finding another good petsitter. But when I met Margie I was thrilled! She is fantastic and so nice to deal with. She is truly both a people and pet person! The initial meeting she put our minds at ease and all of our pets greeted her. Excellent sign! She spent about 45 minutes going over her policy and asking us to fill out a folder we keep on each of our pets--personality, medications they may be on etc. I even phoned once while away once for an update and she was very kind on the phone. Margie loves her job and does it with a smile and a kindness toward animals. In turn, we feel very happy to have found her and will use her service from now on.

I have been using them for years. The price is average. The owner knows me, knows my cats and knows what I want.
