Daryl was on time, knowledgable and professional. Took control of the entire operation from start to finish? Did exactly what he said he would do, and at a reasonable price! In this industry it can be difficult to know who you can trust. I would recommend Daryl to everyone with a mold issue.

Daryl did an amazing job on mold testing and remediation in our home. He corrected a bad job another contractor had done. In addition to doing a great job -- for what I considered a generous price, given the high quality of the work -- he kindly shared his time to identify potential sources of allergens and air quality problems in our home. He also shared many low-cost tips & tricks for improving our overall air quality. I was very concerned that the home be in good condition for my two small children, and it was obvious to me that Daryl cares greatly about customers' health and well being. Daryl is an honest and expert professional, and we are lucky to have someone like him working in our community. Highest recommendation.

The owner of Moldex, Daryl, was extremely knowledgable and professional from the very first time he visited our home. He came out for the initial inspection and helped us understand everything we needed to know about mold. He took swabs of the areas we suspected were mold caused by a leaky shower pan as well as air quality samples. Once we confirmed we had a mold issue, Daryl sent over an estimate that was extremely detailed and walked through everything he was going to do. He was able to quickly answer any questions I had and then we scheduled the mold removal. He completed everything in a day and a half, and once he was done you couldn't even tell we ever had an issue. He made sure we looked over all the work he had done to put everything back together to make sure we were satisfied with the reconstruction of the drywall and cabinets before we made our final payment to him. I would highly recommend Daryl to anyone who needs mold removed from their house or needs to have an inspection for mold.

The job went exactly as described by Daryl. We had to leave the house for a night (which we were aware of) but we were prepared because he's busy and it took a couple of months to set up the work. He did a very good job finding and matching the necessary paint colors too, which I didn't realize he would do. I can say he goes above and beyond what I was expecting in the way of service. Mold remediation is not inexpensive so that was why I gave a "Good" rating on the price. I felt like he really knew what he was talking about and I would recommend him.

The ceiling which had mold was removed and a new one was installed. The ceiling was then textured and painted. If I need Mold removed, I will use this company again. They provide great customer service and strive to make sure you happy. The $1950 included coming to take a couple test samples of the mold before determining if remediation is required.

We had water damage under our kitchen sink which turned up growing mold two months later. We received quotes from two other companies, one denying it was mold (despite our own home test being positive) and the other wanting to remove our new granite counter tops to repair the damage under our sink (at a very high price of course). We called Moldex and immediately felt comfortable based on Daryl's extensive knowledge, honesty, price, and A+ BBB review. The work was done for the price quoted, despite more extensive damage found into the drywall and also repaired. Our granite countertops remained untouched and we couldn't be happier. We would definitely recommend Moldex.

I asked Daryl to check out a wall in my home that I thought might have moldy drywall. It turns out that that the drywall had black material on the back, but it was not mold. He examined the rest of my home and detected mold in my garage. The walls behind my kitchen and bathroom cabinets had been remediated for mold in the past, but the contractor did not do a good job. The area around the water heater and behind the washer and dryer were not adequately treated. Daryl estimated four days for the project, but needed only two, which was great. He removed a 3' x 7' section of drywall behind the water heater and a 3' x 6' section of drywall behind the washer and dryer. He remediated the mold and reconstructed the walls. The repairs look great...the walls look better than they ever did! He also replaced the hot water cutoff for the washing machine, which was leaking and contributing to the moisture in the area. Daryl is very professional and responsible and would definitely use his services again if I needed them. Daryl provided a two year warranty on the reconstruction and a transferrable lifetime warranty on the remediation given that there is no further moisture introduced to the area.

We had a large leak with all the rain and our 35 year old house suddenly seemed to be causing lots of allergies, so we decided to get it inspected for mold. We also have 2 outbuildings on the property that also leaked. Daryl came out the day I called and showed up right on time. We took him to our problem areas and he inspected them all. He is very knowledgeable, he was able to answer all of our questions and gave us a lot of facts about mold and airborn spores that we didn't know. After looking at everything, he said he thought the best plan would be to do 2 tests, one outside and one inside, so we could see if there was a difference, because he didn't see anything suspicious. With the out buildings (which are metal with dropped roof) he said it really isn't a big deal, even if the mold develops, just replace the ceiling, so it would waste our money to test out there. We agreed, so he took the air samples (a machine that takes a controlled amount, and took that back to be sent off. About 5 days later he called and told us our results and recommended that we get better AC filters as our AC wasn't filtering out much. Throughout he was very professional, knew what he was doing, and was very helpful. Any questions he is more than willing to answer, and I was very impressed. The cost was $150 to inspect, and $50 per test. He was clear up front how much it would cost, and so I felt I knew what I was getting.

Mr. Dayrl Choby, from Moldex, was most professional in his dealings with me. I arranged to have this work done, via telephone and emails, from my home in New York State, for my residential property in Scottsdale. All of my questions were answered and carefully explained, demonstrating great knowledge of the subject matter. The work was done promptly and completed in a very meticulous manner. 85266Once the work was completed, Mr. Choby was of great assistance in providing the documentation, photographs, and reports to my insurance carrier; so, that I was able to get them to reverse an earlier decision that the damage did not fall within the scope of my policy. Without Mr. Choby's efforts, I would have had to pay this amount out of my own pocket. I am thoroughly satisfied with my experience with Moldex and, in particular, with Mr. Daryl Choby. I have recommended his company to the company that manages my property in Arizona, without qualification.

I was completely satisfied with the work performed by Moldex. He was prompt. His estimate was by far the lowest of the four that we received. He resolved all the issues with mold and completed the reconstruction of the damaged utility closet in a very timely manner. I am extremely satisfied with their work and would use them again and highly recommend them.

He was so good about the mold and his dry wall - he was so professional! So good! He was so good that 3 other people in the condos used him. He was so professional, so good! Everybody just came over to see what he was doing because we were bragging about him. He had more work than he knew what to do with here! He knew exactly what to do with the mold. He just came in and fixed it all so we only had to use him one time. The price was reasonable for what he did and he was well worth it. There was a leak in our house and that's what caused this. The insurance had paid for a company to come out and put the fans in and everything and nothing! They had the fans out and they said this and that everything was fine and you could tell that the walls were still wet! So we took it on ourselves because we weren't happy. And when he came in it, it was night and day! He zipped it up where the other guy just shut the door. And he didn't put anything under the door to stop it!

Darryl is timely, informative and very professional. His work is outstanding. He takes the time to talk to you in regrds to any questions you have. He informs you of the time line and progress of the job. I trusted him in the information he gave. He completed the job on time and it was done excellently.

Daryl arrived on time for our scheduled appointment. He took the time to review the process for testing the type of mold and also the process for testing the air quality inside our house. Daryl also took the time to explain the scope of work based on different types of mold and what the scope of work would need to be done from the air quality testing. Daryl took the mold and air samples and said it would take 48 hours to get the test results back. We received a follow up call from Daryl and email with detailed test results in a timely manor. After explaining the test results to us Daryl said he would send a proposal for the scope of work. We received the proposal in a timely manor. Based on Daryl's professionalism, proposal and scope of worked we decided to use MoldEX. Daryl said he could start in a little over than a weeks time. We told Daryl that we needed him to start three days earlier and he changed his schedule around to accommodate our request. Daryl said it would take two or three days to complete work and he completed the work in 2.5 days. He should up on time every day explained each days work that need to be done and completed the job in the time stated. Best service provider/contractor experience ever. My wife and I have owned three different homes in the past 17 years. During this time we have used many service providers for various projects. Daryl and MoldEx has restored my confidence in service providers and reminded me how small business owners make up what America is today. Top notch business and customer service for any project. I cannot yet verify the quality of the work, as I have been away from my property since Daryl started the restoration work. I have every reason to expect that the quality is excellent. I will update this review or add a brief new review -- to comment on the quality of the work -- after I am able to view the results in person. I can, however, comment about other facets of my interactions with Daryl. He was extremely prompt and professional in all of our correspondences -- via telephone, via e-mail, and also face-to-face. He is a direct, no-nonsense kind of guy. I also greatly appreciate him helping to reassure me that everything would be good as new after his work was done -- any of you who are reading this review can likely understand the shock and stress from knowing that your property has a mold problem. In addition, his initial training from Dr. Chester Leathers, together with his now six-plus years of successes in the critically-key profession, allow him to convey those reassurances with confidence. He didn't seem one bit intimated by the task at hand with my unit. I do not know whether the job at my condo was easy, medium-difficult, or difficult, as far as restoration and repairs following mold damage go. But, Daryl certainly knew exactly what he needed to do, in order to fix my problem, regardless of its degree of difficulty. I also want to comment on Daryl's additional generosity, in providing a few extraneous services while he was performing the main job of eliminating my mold. When we were in my vacant condominium, Daryl noticed a number of residual items from my most recent tenants. He asked me what I planned to do with these items; some were junk and some were reasonably valuable. He offered to take out a couple of sizeable loads of trash while making his various treks out of my condo'. He also offered to place the few valuable items next to my complex's dumpster, assuming that neighbors would like the items and take them for themselves. I tried very hard to pay Daryl for these extra services; Daryl insisted, however, that he perform these additional duties as a courtesy. I would've gladly paid him, yet he didn't want any additional compensation for that bit of additional work. These extra services were a strong signal to me that Daryl was not doing his job just to make some money from me. I believe that he genuinely liked helping me. I cannot imagine that any other people (or businesses) in the field of mold removal have any more expertise, experience, or successes than Daryl Choby has. He is professional, extremely fair, knowledgeable, reassuring, and optimistic. He is clearly dedicated to doing top-notch work.

Daryl was great, always showed up on time, charged me exactly what he quoted. He had to deal with my very difficult tenant and he did it with professionalist and patience. He also came out later to do testing on my other bathrooms and fixed a plumbing problem without charging me. I definitely recommend him and would use him again if needed.

I called Mr. Choby when I first noticed a mold problem in my closet and he came out the same day to test my bedroom. It took 3 days to get my test results and at that time I was given a bid on Remediation. I chose Moldex because of how knowledable Mr. Choby was and even though they were booked for the upcoming week and a half, Mr. Choby stated that he would work on my house on his free time because he cared that my 3 young children would not be exposed to the mold spores. It took 3 days to complete the renovation and he was able to find the source of the leak, fix it, dehumidify, and reconstruct my closet. Not only did Mr Choby do all the work himself, he also gave us some additional advice on how to keep our whole home mold free by doing some simple changes to our home.
