this company is unbelievable. the person the phone is always very pleasant, courteous and helpful. jeff is very prompt and reliable. i know everyone loves them and i almost don't want to heap on more praise because they'll get too popular! i can't say enough good things about them.

A different company quoted a much higher price for less extensive work. I found L J Refrigeration on Angie's List, and I was very pleased with every aspect of the technician's visit.

Both units checked out and, hopefully, will get us through another (the 12th) Arizona summer. I've used these folks for 5-6 years and, as in the past, it was a pleasure to have them on site. Among the several household outfits I use for recurring equipment/system maintenance, L.J. Refrigeration is at the top of the heap. They're always quick to repond with a convenient appointment, Paul always arrives on time and is more than willing to provide advice or recommendations when asked. Their current pricing structure is $78 for the first unit, $30 for the second unit, less a $5 coupon. They accept credit cards for payment.

The heat pump on our house is the original and has been in service since 1984. For the past few years, I have worried it might go at any time, but so far, so good. On the day after Christmas following one of the coldest nights of the year and with another cold night forecast, the heat pump appeared to have died. I had had LJ do routine maintenance on it a couple of years ago so I called. I was advised there would be a premium charge because of the timing. I said I figured there probably would be. The technician arrived about an hour later, found a bad capacitor on the blower motor and replaced it. He also topped off the freon. The heat pump started working again. The technician did advise me that the bearings on the compressor motor were starting to make noise and suggested replacing that motor before summer. Otherwise, he said the heat pump appeared to be in good shape.

I had this happen before and he did a good job for me. They are great and it is a family business. I've had them out three times in the last year. The nephew came this time and the uncle came twice before. I've had a lot of problems with other companies coming out to check things and they charged me a lot more money. I think the price was fair and the quality was excellent. The responsiveness and punctuality were very good. They called to let me know that he was on his way. I would definitely use them again and I trust them.

He is excellent. I think he's responsive. He comes out quickly and shows up at the appointed time. He is reasonably priced. He knows what he's doing. The repairs were successful. He is fine and ethical.

Kelly in the office was extremely helpful with the diagnosis of the problem and then getting Mr Coen out to us quickly.

Excellent. Paul arrived on time and quickly got to work. He explained everything that he was checking for such as abnormal amp draw, hot wires, worn bearings, low freon etc... He gave me the history of my current model unit and filled me in on the future of A/C units to come. 68 bucks is a small price to pay for the knowledge that your A/C is in good condition and should provide worry free cooling for some time to come. Got their name from Angieslist after seeing that the company that I used about 6 years ago just didn't match up with customer satisfaction. Thanks LJ.

Called answering service over the weekend. LJ called back within the hour. Scheduled appt. Arrived promptly. Courteous. Fixed problem in a most efficient fashion.

I trust them with a key to my house, which says a lot in this day of age. They come when they say they'll be here & do the job right, the first time. I have used them for at least 15 plus years.

Excellent. I would agree with others that LJ isn't the cheapest but quality rarely is.

They do good work. I will continue to use them in the future.

We moved into a 10-year old home in AUGUST and one of our A/C units was not working. We were a little uncomfortable but not super serious since we had cooling in one part of the house. I called LJ Refrigeration and told them our predicament. It was already mid-day and they said that they were booked that day but that they could have someone come out the next day. I said fine. The lady then said that if she could get someone out that same day late, would that be okay? I said sure. Later that day, sure enough, she called and said that a technician could stop by late and help us out. Paul Coen arrived fairly late in the day and stayed well into darkness repairing our a/c unit on the roof. It needed freon. He checked all three units on our home and washed our filters. He explained how our system worked and gave us suggestions to maximize efficiency. He was very polite and professional and got our a/c unit working beautifully. I was pleased that the company squeezed us in at the end of their day.

He did a very good job. He was here for 10 minutes and got the job done. I thought the charge was excessive.

Very punctual, swiftly completed, right where he said it would be when he gave me an estimate. Replaced thermostat both on the air conditioner and in home.

Repaired quickly and at the time promised.

I called LJ's and they were at my house within three hours. They got the A/C fixed immediately which was great since it was a hot summer day.

They were great. They sent someone out the next morning. Multiple people called us and advised us to turn our AC off since our lines were freezing up, otherwise our compressor may blow. They were super polite on the phone and very nice in person. Can't comment on cost. I have no idea if $307 was a lot to fix it or not. The serviceman was here around an hour and a half, and definitely had to clean a lot of scary crap out of our AC.

Called after-hours and they were here in an hour and a half. A great service experience.

I needed my A/C recharged. There was no cold air coming out, so I contacted LJ Refrigeration Co.INC to recharge my A/C unit. They are a company I would give A's all across the board.

I called on a Saturday morning and Jeff Engbarth was there by 12:30 PM. The first thing I appreciated was that they use an answering service outside of regular business hours. I thought only doctors did that these days. You actually get a person, who takes all the info and forwards it to the company. I had a callback within 20 minutes. When he arrived, Jeff diagnosed the problem and replaced the condenser motor and capacitor. He also checked out the freon in both units and found one of them to be low, so added what was needed. Excellent response time and service, friendly and helpful attitude from all involved. Will definitely use LJ next time we have a problem. Incidentally, the total price included a $136 OT labor charge and $10 fuel charge. I also received a $15 discount for finding them here on Angie's List.

They were very prompt and very responsive. They came and diagnosed the problem and took care of it right off the bat. I recommend them. He knew what he was doing.

Paul arrived about 45 minutes later, as promised. On each of our Trane A/C units, he checked electrical components and motor and compressor amps, confirmed R-22 freon levels were to spec, oiled the motors and checked the bearings, hosed down/cleaned the outdoor coils, and test ran the units; all okay. We've used this company for at least the last 4 years and they're top-notch. Paul is very pleasant and always willing to answer any questions I might have on heating and cooling systems. Although their price for a check-up of multi-unit homes bumped up this year, I believe they're still very reasonable. It's a real pleasure doing business with them.
