J & J Refrigeration and Heating and Air

Let me start off with, I have had a few issues with my ice maker on my fridge previously. I called Home Depot and they recommended several companies to come out and fix my ice maker. They sent out this company and this is where my nightmare begins. First off, J and H have terrible phone etiquette. When I called to see when they were coming, it was as though I was inconveniencing them. I just figured this guy was a miserable person and so I didn't want to judge the company. A technician showed up with a trainee and the first thing the trainee did was ask to use my bathroom. I was taken a back by this, but said yes of course. The boy that was the tech was very nice and proceeded to try and figure out what was going on with my ice maker. He called the company and was suggested by the person on the phone to take the whole ice maker apart. While dismantling the ice maker he dropped this huge drill in my fridge. Ok, I thought for sure something broke because it was a hard, loud drop. Fast forward to the ice maker issue, it turned out that some sort of panel needs replacing and I was happy that they may have figured out what the issue is. The tech explained to me what may be the issue and it is fixable. I was happy to hear this and even told him I just want it fixed, I love this fridge. He said they would send this over to HD and let them know his recommendations and will have it fixed next week, "Great!" I said! Later on that evening my husband went to retrieve ice and there was still no ice and when we placed ice from a bag of ice we had, it still would not dispense (where as before this was never an issue). Then I noticed a huge crack from where he dropped the drill. Well, this is Friday and I could not call till Monday. I called first thing and asked for the manager and Bob said there is no manager. I asked for the owner and he said that they were a corporation. He said you can speak with me. I proceeded to tell him my experience and he said, ok let me check with the tech. Bob comes back on the line and says ( in a very loud condescending tone) the tech and his assistant did not drop the drill and that I just want a new fridge. I said what? The fridge is new, that makes no sense. In fact I told the tech, I am glad he figured out finally what was wrong, so it can be fixed. He start yelling at me stating, "that's my son and he would not lie to me". He start to become very belligerent with me. It scared me half to death. I hung up and called HD, and let them know what happened and they said the would get the field manager on it. They said that the company would have to fix the crack and ice maker. I am scared to death for these people to come back out. So, I am going to file formal complaint about them and if need be, go to small claims court for this. They fixed the problem, keeping an old machine running.
