A Always Open Garage Doors

Dave came out within an hour of my phone call. I couldn't believe it considering I had been waiting over a week from the original garage door company to call me back. He not only was fast, but went above and beyond. He oiled the garage door wheels in their tracks free of charge and they sound so much better. He did recommend that we replace the wheels on one of our garage doors and gave us a good price, but we didn't have the extra money. He wasn't pushy at all. He even programmed our two vehicles' homelink garage door openers for free! I simply asked if he had any tips on doing it as I couldn't figure it out for the life of me. I normally am not a tipper for contractors, but I was so impressed I tipped him $25! He was fantastic. I can't say enough how impressed I was by him.

The next day I called A Always Open, and spoke to Mark, the father. We arranged for a service call between 11am and 1pm that day. At about 11:45, Ray (a son) came and looked at the door. He explained I had a broken spring, but apologized that he did not have the parts to fix the Wayne Dalton system we had. He suggested that we could contact Wayne Dalton directly, or that they could upgrade our system for roughly the same price. I decided to go with the upgrade, and we made another appointment for 8am the following morning. The following morning, a second son (Zack) came and quickly replaced the broken system with new springs and mounting. We also replaced the rollers with ball-bearing rollers. The work took a little over an hour. After the upgrade work, he lubed everything and showed me the door operating. The door was so quiet I could hardly tell it was operating! Previously, I had to turn down my hearing aids every time I operated the doors. I wish I had known about this years before. The big door was so improved in operation that I asked Zack to replace the rollers on our smaller garage door, which he promptly did. When I was satisfied with the operation, he carefully swept the garage floor, even cleaning debris he clearly didn't make (dog hair and seed pods). He was clear and explained what he was doing, and patiently answered all of my questions. He was quick and clearly knew what he was doing. He had exactly the right tools available so that each step went quickly and smoothly. A real pleasure to see such a competent workman!

Called them to replace a broken spring - they came out the same day. Mark was VERY nice and professional, and did a great job. i would highly recommend them and will definitely use them in the future!!!

I got home and couldn't get into my garage. I tried to open it and all I heard was the screw drive running. I called A Always Open Garage Doors and they came within an hour on a Sunday. They inspected the garage door and had everything up and running within an hour or so.

We called A Always because our garage door would not open. The service tech, Dan arrived within hours that same day. He said that the springs needed to be replaced and gave us the price. We gave him the go ahead and went to work. After replacing the springs he said that the rollers were also quite worn & that we would soon need new ones. We were not surprised as the rollers had never been replaced and we knew it was only a matter of time before they needed replacing. He said that he would charge us half price for replacing them since he was already here. The price seemed reasonable so we decided to go ahead and have him replace the 10 rollers also. He completed the work in about an hour and a half or so. We were especially pleased with the same day service. They were very professional on the phone and in person and would likely use again in the future if we have garage door problems.

Well done from start to finish. Covered all of the problem areas and serviced the garage doors so that they worked better than ever. Dan called to confirm my address and let me know he would arrive in about 10 minutes. He was punctual, friendly, and incredibly knowledgable. I called because I was having an issue with my garage door being tempermental - oftentimes it would not close after I backed out of the garage. Always Open does not charge a service fee just for coming out - I love that! Dan diagnosed a problem with the wireless circuitry. My garage door system was 14 years old, and he could replace the circuit board, but it was a pretty expensive fix for an old unit. For about double the price he could replace the entire system with a stronger horsepower unit that uses a belt instead of a chain and would be much quieter. He also replaced the rollers in the track as they were pretty worn down. After replacing the unit, he asked for my keys to reprogram the homelink in my car. He also had me set a code for the keypad entry system he installed on the outside of the garage and gave me two new remotes for use in other vehicles. He was very clean - he even swept out my garage when he was finished! He walked me through the invoice of charges, explained the warranties, and encouraged me to call Always Open Garage Doors again if I ever have a problem. I will!

One of our 2 garage door springs broke. Called them and they came out the same day - an hour and a half after my call! That's what I call service!! The owner's son, Dan, a very professional, clean cut and capable young man, came to do the job. He replaced both springs in less than 1/2 hour and had the door working again. He didn't try to up sell, but simply performed the necessary repair. Extremely happy with the whole experience. We'll be using them from now on for any future garage door needs. I highly, HIGHLY recommend them!!

Zach may appear young ( I have no idea how old he actually is) but don't let that fool you. He knows his stuff. He has a firm handshake, makes eye-contact when speaking with you and works quickly and with obvious skill. It is clear that he knows about garage doors. He speaks well and communicates clearly. This is a family run business and it's clear that they take pride in the work they do and the way they treat customers. The work was done quickly and thoroughly - so much so that I ended up calling back a week later when my own garage door started clunking....but that is for another review!

Fantastically! I am 100% pleased with this company and am especially impressed with Zach. He could have told me just about anything about this door - needs new tracks, gears, motor, etc. He didn't. He showed me where the problems were, where my on-going issues are and what to watch for. He even showed me what was good about the system - that the gears are all fine (minimal plastic shavings, and that the board in the driver had was newer and must have been replaced at some point. I would recommend this company time and again. I know I will call them for any future problems in our own home or at any of our rental properties.

Arranged the appointment on line. Unfortunately, the technician did not come to the scheduled appointment. I called the next day, had simply not been entered into system, sincere apologies for oversight, and new appointment set. Technician came exactly as agreed - got the system working properly from the keypad and remotes. Perhaps even as importantly though, he ascertained that the door was very heavy and not properly powered by the operating mechanism, he adjusted and tuned that up, lubricated the system, replaced the old rollers - door working much more smoothly and quietly now. Didn't try to oversell on what should be done - made repairs needed to get us through till should be replaced in future. Much appreciated.

This young kid walks up to fix my garage door and my first thought was "great...this guy won't have any idea what to do. " I was so wrong! I was amazed at the way he laid out his tools, knew exactlly what to do, was totally professional. He was remarkable, a true tradesman and I will recommend him to everyone. His knowledge, skill and overall ability was very impressive!

Dan did an excellent job, the garage door looks great again and the new opener is working very well.

From the time I contacted them until they were done, everything went very well. They actually arrived earlier than estimated, and had completed the work much faster than I had anticipated.

From beginning to end the customer service was excellent. They were able to have someone come out to my house the day after I called. I was very happy because I was able to be home that day. Javier explained what the problem was and was able to use new parts I had to fix my door. It works great and I couldn't be more pleased.

It was awesome, I had used them in the past. This was an unexpected repair, and I'm very impressed. The installer that came out was the same one that I had used before. He is very concerned about doing his job properly, and making sure the customer is happy.

Zach arrived promptly and immediately got to work. Turns out, he was able to repair the garage door and install a new opener without having to actually replace the garage door. What a nice change to have someone actually be honest and save us money. The door is not in great shape - it will probably have to be swapped out in a year or two, but Always Open Garage Doors got it running smoothly and reliably in the span of a couple of hours -- for a very reasonable price. Can't recommend this company enough.

Dan, the owners son, did great work. It's a family owned company, and all of the techs are family. He told me what he was going to do and how much it would cost. The door is working great and is much quieter than it was before. I highly recommend these guys and will use them any time I have need of a garage door repair.

I called this company for the first time around noon on 12/9/11 to set up an appointment to fix my garage door and the opener. To my surprise, the owner offered to have his crew out the same day and they had an appointment period of 7-9pm. I was amazed that they actually worked that late, but it worked out perfectly for my schedule. Around 6pm, I received a call from the gentleman who was going to come out for the appointment, and he finished a previous job early, so he offered to come to my house early as well. They arrived within 20 minutes, took a look at the door and diagnosed the problem within 5 minutes. He gave me the price and they began the work. Once this part was fixed, we also discussed another problem with the wheels on the garage door track that were old and worn, making a lot of noise when it opened/closed. He explained the type of wheels they use to replace old ones and their product guarantee, then offered me a 20% discount if I wanted him to replace those as well. I agreed, and within an hour they had completed the entire job. He even acknowledged that the system was very old, but that it worked and there was no sense in doing anything to it until it goes out, so I trusted that he wasn't just trying to sell me something. The 2-man crew cleaned up and left, having provided one of the best service experiences I've had in a very long time. I've since told several people about my experience, and I would highly recommend this company to anyone. They are fantastic!
