I found Top Notch to be Top Shelf! Handy responded quickly to my inquiry and stopped the leak in my flat roof right away. I will be calling him in the spring for my ongoing roof maintenance, repair, and replacement needs. A big thumbs up!yr

I got a quote for a 225 sq.ft. leak repair on my 25 year old tile roof. I brought in a 2nd company. He tells me I need an entire new roof. He makes all kinds of testimonials for hiring him: anyone who'd only quote me for a partial repair is unworthy. His company is one of only 4 or 5 in the whole valley that has the experience we need. He only uses the very best materials- everybody else short-sheets you. What's worse is that this guy is talking so fast its as if he's being chased by the po-po! Surely he needs to take a breath, right? I wait him out here's my chance but, no, he's off to the races again, having gotten his second wind. This character gives me a bid that's so high I realize that if I accept, my next call will be to my grand kids saying "Sorry, but no college for you". Mind you, I'm actually okay hearing that a bandied won't work when I really need a lobotomy. I just need some proper bedside manner. Needless to say, we did not hire Mr. Serial Talker. Top Notch is next. Handy comes in, walks the roof, quotes us $6,000 less for the job same materials, same guarantee. The difference? Handy can do the job and its only 2 weeks out. Handy is mild, courteous, unassuming, and instilled confidence with my wife and I that was refreshing. Furthermore, he and I actually shared the air! He walked us through our job, making eye contact, answering questions, and basically presented us with the bedside manner we certainly didn't get from Door #1. I do my due diligence. I ask what I think are brilliant questions. I still know very little about a whole lot of things, much like the typical consumer. I need you to walk me through the process. When I want to "discuss", I don't want to be brushed off as though "It doesn't really matter- we're the only company you'll ever need." Top Notch lived up to the name. Courteous, clean, professional. They even took out garbage not related to the job. I can't wait to recommend Handy and Top Notch to other old geezers in my community. By all means, do what you need to do. Call a 'hole passel o' folk then call Top Notch. You won't be sorry.
