They did an excellent job. Omar and his crew showed up on time and completed the work in about 4 hours. I called then back because the drip valve that was replaced did not have a filter. Omar installed the filter, but explained that the newer valves do not require a filter. Overall they were very professional, and Omar took the the time to answer all of my questions.

It started with a friendly, helpful sales person, who worked with me to achieve what I needed within my budget. After signing an agreement, the worked commenced virtually immediately. The crew was timely, polite and very professional, but what made this extensive work tolerable was the job foreman, who went out of his way to see that every detail met with my expectations. He dotted every i and crossed every t. He was of tremendous assistance in explaining things and helping make decisions. By the time they left, they were family. My pool was left in great condition, which was one of my main concerns with so much going on around it. The entire property was perfect when they were completed. I have an awesome warranty on the work should I need it. The owner of the company came out several times during the project and made sure that I was satisfied with every detail. To be honest, I was overwhelmed by what was needed to improve the value, aesthetics and functionality of my property, and being a widow, I was concerned that I would not be happy with either the pricing or the logistics of making all this happen. Outdoor Xscapes exceeded my expectations from start to finish. In two short weeks they turned a non-functioning yard into a Garden of Eden from front to back and in between. It is going to be a piece of cake to maintain too. I am so pleased with everything it is unbelievable. BTW I am a retired CFO of a Publicly-held company, so I know value, efficiency and excellent customer service when I see it. Thanks for a job well done.

I had bought a new home, and after using Tree Pro's and their excellent service I knew I wouldn?t have any issues with their landscaping business. I asked for my empty back yard to be turned into a entertainment kid friendly area to have family get together. The estimator Roland came up with a basic idea of putting pavers, grass and some fruit trees, and palms. I liked the idea, it was what I wanted and within my budget. He had his design guys draw up a plan of what my back yard would look like using my plot plan and got it back to me in a reasonable time frame. Once I was able to review it and make my changes I gave the go ahead, shortly after I was contacted by the office staff to start the process of getting my job on the schedule, which was very easy, they were able to work with my busy schedule and were able to meet my needs to of wanting to be there when the work was being done. Both the ladies that work in the office were great at answering any questions or relaying them to the right person to get them answered, and made the process of getting the work started and completed very easy. I put all my trust into these guys and it sure did pay off! I love my backyard! The two crews that came out to my house all worked together and were very respectful of my neighbors and myself on keeping the job site clean and not getting in any ones way. They all worked fast and efficiently. I?m so glad I have found not only one but now two reliable and reputable companies to rely on! I have recommended both companies to all my friends and families, and I do not have one negative to say about them! You definitely get what you pay for, and great work does not come cheap!

I called Outdoor Xscapes after speaking with them at a home show. The salesman arrived at the agreed upon time and patiently listened to my list of wants for the backyard. He then gave me some useful recommendations such as texturing the pool equipment wall to match the house, etc. Upon hiring Outdoor Xscapes, a crew arrived promptly when scheduled and immediately went to work. The delivery of materials coincided perfectly for when the crew was ready to use them; the trees went in without a flaw, the dripper lines were done the same day so that the trees wouldn't go without water. The pavers are level, the wall looks great and I will be having Outdoor Xscapes return to do more work in the future.

Excellent company, great customer service. Did not have any "hidden costs", quote very well written and job was completed as contracted. Salesman and crew were both punctual. At start of job the supervisor and the salesman explained the process and laid out the design. I made a few small changes and they were done at no extra charge. Jesse was very pleasant and even made some suggestions that I will be implementing in the fall. I have a beautiful yard and will recommend them to anyone. Thank you Outdoor Xscapes!

From the beginning, our experience was excellent: We had Steve out after meeting him at a home show. He came out and had great ideas to blend with ours. He took our info and came back with a wonderful COLORED design. We scheduled the job with the office (Carmen and Brandi always on top of the schedule) and the crew was out within a week. Jesse the superintendent showed up with Steve the morning they started the job and we walked through the yard to make sure we were ALL on the same page. The crew worked all day and cleaned up before they left. On the second day, the owner, Roland Martinez, showed up to make sure everything was going according to plan. It took the crew 4 days to complete my project and when they were done it looked more beautiful than the design Steve had shown us in the beginning. I recommend this company, they went above and beyond my expectations and i could not be happier!

The workmen urinated in my yard. The smell was horrible. They poured the left over concrete mixture hidden under a bush, which later died. They subcontracted a company to lay pavers and that was the mistake. They did not use a sand base as recommended, they dry cut the stone so I had dust everywhere, including in the pool. The 6-8 workers were likely undocumented workers. No OSHA rules or any labor laws were not followed. They had no wet saw or tables to work on or masks for the dust that was every where. They worked 12 hours straight. I wished I had called someone to complain about their working conditions but I was working myself. One of the pavers is loose and I have to call them out for repair.I selected this company over others because of the design work and ideas that I was given. Price was the same for most companies. I waited for them to bid because I was impressed with their home show display. They were slow to get this done and as it ended up they never drew the final design and mistakes were made and work had to be redone. I withheld final payment so work would be done correctly and to my satisfaction. I was pressured to pay them right away and I am glad I waited.I wish I was a member of Angie's list at the time of this work because I would have seen the low rating this company had. As it was I had gotten bids from 2 companies with top ratings and good recommendations. Live and learn.

The grass is continuing to grow in the front yard. This company did not install landscape barrier when they removed the grass. This company stated they removed dirt and did not require landscape barrier. I have paid many other landscapers to clean the yard, have applied pre-emergent, nothing stops the grass from growing. Other landscapers have stated they ALWAYS install landscape barrier when removing grass and dirt. Discussing the situation with my neighbors; one commented "I've never heard of NOT installing landscape barrier when removing grass and dirt!" Outdoor Xscapes was paid >$2000 to perform this work for me. I feel I was taken advantage of, I am a divorced woman; this is my first ownership here and was not aware i had to demand they install landscape barrier when removing grass. The job done looked beautiful until the first rain; i have had problems and complaints from neighbors and the homeowners association. The front yard is now an embarrassment.

No matter what you do, don't use these guys. I can't tell you how unprofessional Bret is, seems that's a common theme in the reviews on these guys. Wish I would have consulted these before I contracted with them. Bret committed to removing and replacing11 dead trees in our backyard and installing the 24 outdoor lights and transformer prior to a party scheduled for our backyard. First, these guys use subcontractors, not employees, so you never know who you're going to get. However, I must say the sub, Jesse and his crew, were hardworking and did their best considering what Bret left them with. They arrived a couple hours late on the install date, not a big deal, but they arrived without any of the 11 trees they were supposed to plant. Their plan was to dig all the holes and come back at some later date, leaving us with holes in our yard for the party. Needless to say a big safety hazard, let alone not what we were promised. On the landscape lighting front, they had no plan on how to trace my existing wiring for outdoor lighting or how to install the lights. So what I got was a big fat zero on day one. On day two, we did get 3 of the 11 trees planted (3 plums). The other 8 (spiral junipers) were never going to come in on time, because Bret lied about their availability in order to get the work. A week later they did come in, and were planted well by Jesse and his crew. At the end of the day, the trees look pretty good (wish we could have picked out the specific trees, but these guys don't have a nursery, they just buy from someone else). The outdoor lighting was never installed, so I found an alternative there. Bottom line, over-promised and under-delivered big time. I won't be using them again..

The landscape company used a gravel company that dumped the gravel on my street with no warning signs and a lady drove into the pile and totaled her car. Police were called but no one was hurt. Bret, the head landscape guy, then had his crew work on flagstone steps in the front yard that were off kilter but I couldn't reach Bret to stop the work because he was at Home & Garden show drumming up new business and wouldn't answer my 3 phone calls requesting he look at the problem. I finally told the guys to stop working until I heard from Bret who finally came out 2 days later and had the guys have rip it out and start all over. Bret then didn't do a final walk-thru with me as he said he would, but went ahead and charged my credit card the balance owed even though the project was not complete. The lighting wasn't made right as he said he was going to do, he had charged me for a saguaro cactus that I had changed to a less expensive palo verde but was still charged for the saguaro. The light in the waterfall now doesn't work because his guy just taped the connection with electrical tape and buried it. Bret won't return my emails or phone calls after about two months. My yard looks nice but its not completed. I can't recommend this company to anyone - and the fun was taken out of having this project done. (P.S. - there is another company with a very similar name (with a hyphen) that is a totally different company. The owner of this company told me he is constantly getting knocks on his license because of the complaints he gets from people thinking he is Outdoor Xscapes.)
