OneGuard Home Warranties

Over the period of a month, I contacted One Guard to perform AC repair, garage door opener repair, pest treatment, dishwasher and ceiling fan repair. Each time I contacted them, the representative was quite professional, came across as genuinely concerned for my predicament. They contacted their service providers who in turn contacted me within three hours or the next business day. Each time - only $59 for the service call...and their service providers were exceptional and professional! I've had them as a home warranty company since November 2009 and each and every time they have performed flawlessly!

We have been using the home warranty for about a year. It took a little while for them to get the air conditioning people. I don’t know where the break down was but I had to call them. They said they should call the next day but I didn’t hear for two days so then I called and they hadn’t heard anything. Once I called the air conditioning company, they got somebody out within two hours but I waited a couple of days. I don’t know if that was them or the air conditioning place. Other than that service, it was really easy.

We bought a house in Scottsdale last August (2012) and got a contract with OneGuard Home Warranties with the purchase of our house. We have used them for several repairs and found them to be prompt, courteous, and professional. We are very pleased with their service and have recently renewed our contract for another year. We highly recommend this company.

I love this company! After reading horrible stories about another warranty companies I signed up with this one since it is new to the area. What a pleasant surprise! My pool pump was leaking and I put in my request online. Within 5 hours a pool company called me to set up an appointment for the next day. The gentleman was on time and placed a seal in the pump and the pump stopped leaking. All I had to pay was $59 service fee. That is a great deal since the job would have const me at least $150. Two weeks later, I was selling my house and the buyers had an inspection done. The inspector noted that my hot water heater did not produce hot enough water. I put in my request online. Within 3 hours a plumber called me who came out the same day! To my surprise nothing was wrong with my water temperature. The plumber showed me his readings of the water temperature. To my surprise I still only had to pay $59 for the service call. I love this warranty company! I wish that they would service Oklahoma where I own another house as well. For now, I am happy with the company servicing my house in San Antonio.

Great! The representative that I spoke with on the phone was in a very good mood at such and early hour (7:45 am) and made me laugh!

The local pool service company called me within 45 minutes of my call with OneGuard. The service professional was courteous, and went over my options clearly and honestly. Once I described the situation, the pool tech was able to quickly tell me that I would be better off calling a professonal Leak Detection company and gave me a list of local companies that he worked with. Because he didn't come out to my house, there was no charge. I called American Leak Detection, and they came out the next day to evaluate my pool leak ($450). They were able to determine where the pool was leaking, and the rate of the leak, and the issue was fixed the same day, just using some epoxy around the pool skimmer. I am very happy with the smoothness of the way this worked, and the professionalism shown by everyone I worked with.

Went great - I called with the problem and the A/C company called me quickly to set up an appointment for the following day.

A/C system went out on August 1st. Called OneGuard and they sent out ATM. They arrived the same day and had it repaired within 30 minutes. Unbelievably quick. I have had such good luck with OneGuard and they are always professional and friendly. I will continue to recommend OneGuard to friends and family.

We purchased a home in April 2013 and chose OneGuard as the home warranty paid for by the seller. Price for the warranty was in line with other options available. Have been extremely impressed with the service and the level of professionalism by OneGuard representatives so far. Our warranty covered changing the locks on the house, changing the remotes and keypad on the garage, as well as a seasonal check up on the AC's. One phone call to OneGuard and the locksmith and the AC technician were scheduled. The OneGuard representative was extremely professional and thorough. The vendors called promptly and arrived when scheduled. First impressions were excellent. This past Saturday, we had need of a plumber to diagnose and clear a clogged drain in our master bath. Again, the OneGuard representative was helpful and professional. She assigned a vendor that worked on weekends and our problem was solved on Sunday. (Could have been solved on the same day, but we had other obligations, so it had to wait until Sunday) The vendor again, arrived on time, communicated as promised, was professional and courteous. AWESOME service throughout. We had American Home Shield at our previous home for many years and the difference is like night and day. Extremely pleased with our choice of OneGuard for our new home warranty. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Air Conditioning broke down about noon on Monday July 22nd. This can be traumatic in Arizona. My call to OneGuard was answered immediately. They had their service contractor at my house within two hours. The 23 year old heat pump was not repairable. OneGuard approved a new unit to be installed. They also offered to pay $60 per night for a hotel if I wanted one. I had a new heat pump by Wednesday July 24th. My only cost was the $59 service fee and $ 150 for the freon. I want to mention that just a few weeks before they had to replace my garbage disposal. If you are going to buy a home warranty, this company provides the best coverage and service.

1). Found it was working correctly. 2). Fixed leak.

I had a home warranty on all of my previous homes over past 20 years. About 5 years ago, I decided to shop around for a new home warranty company. I had heard good things about One Guard so thought I would try them out for a year. They exceeded all of my expectations for each service call during the past 5 years. All of their contractors are always on time, very polished, professional and knowledgeable of their trades. I did not find this same caliber of quality tradesmen from the competitor home warranty companies. We are not very handy at fixing things ourselves so we really needed to work with someone who would be honest and do good workmanship. One guard has never disappointed us. We live in a hot climate - Phoenix. Our AC gets used a lot and on the hottest days if an AC goes out, repairmen are not available for days. Yet, this summer when I called one guard, they got someone out there same day, it was amazing!! It was late in the day but they knew how important AC is when it is 118 degrees outside. I have referred many friends, family members, and neighbors. One Guard continues to exceed all of our expectations every time we request service. I wish they covered all of the Us. I have family scattered throughout and they would like to use one guard.

Excellent!! One Guard sent out "Proficient Pest Specialists" The inside and outside were done and no more ants. The company had to come back to redo the backyard about two weeks later for more ant control and this did the trick so far. The charge for the return visit was $000.00 for us. Proficient Pest Specialists were very good as well. They were very professional and did a very good job.

I have had this service since moving into my home in 2005. The yearly charge for this service pays for itself with the needs experienced. I have had problems with areas of my home such as electrical, plumbing, appliances, fixtures. If determined not repairable, new items are installed. Plus, I have the security of knowing the job will be done right. The technicians with who they work have been thorough, polite and honest. I could go on and on.....rating is positive plus plus!

I had a couple of interactions with them. I contacted them about a part that failed at my house, but they ended up not covering it because it was not covered in the warranty. That part was not covered and it was in their policy. When the guy came out he didn’t really fix it and he tried to come out again but I don’t think it is their fault because he tried and didn’t work. I had a dishwasher breakdown and I am in a process to get it fixed. I called for dishwasher and they sent somebody a day or two later so they were pretty responsive. So far they were professional.

They are very fast on their claims. I call them and then they call me back a couple hours later to let me know that contractor will be calling me to make an appointment.

When I called OneGuard Home Warranties to discuss the services the person who answered wasn't terribly helpful and forthcoming. I ended up doing research online and had to look up their ratings and read the reviews and I used the reviews to determine if this was the right company to use. The research you had was helpful, but I would say, maybe she was just having a bad day, but she was not the most helpful and forthcoming person I had spoken with. They hooked me up to a utility concierge service, which I had no idea it was going to be a part of what they were doing and that service has been quite sub-par. I picked them because it looked like a good value.

It went just fine. I would rate the experience as 4 from the scale of 1 to 5. They were professional.

We had two AC calls for the same problem within the same week. We had a 12 month warranty with this company and were in our second month. The company charged me for 2 service calls for the same problem when it should had been one charge. The company and I could not agree, they insisted on charging me for two service calls when I think it should had been only one. I asked to cancel the policy and get a refund on the remaining 10 months remaining on the contract. The company said there would be a $50 service charge to cancel. I said go ahead and cancel, and the company said they would issue me a refund check. NOW...get ready for the best part...the company decided to keep all my money and cancel my policy and the remaining 10 months of the warranty. Here is their breakdown, which they never informed me about until two months after I cancelled the contract: Refund Breakdown: (this was provided from the company to me in an email) Total Premium Paid: 399.00 Total Premium Used: -96.20 Base Refund Amount: 302.80 Administration Fee: -50 Unpaid Service Fees: -59.00 Claims: -429.00 Paid Service Fees: 118.00 Refund Amount: 0 I am reporting them to the BBB. You have been warn about this company. You will get bad service and screwed in the end. Uee AHS instead.

I noticed a problem with the guest bathroom toilet and telephoned OneGuard when I couldn't fix it on my own. Within minutes of hanging up with OneGuard's friendly, professional representative, I was contacted by the plumber. I had an appointment that afternoon. OneGuard's service was prompt, attentive, and very easy to use.

So far, so good. Overall, they are steady. We don’t have to wait a long time to get someone to talk to us. They send out services pretty quick, so we expect to hear from the outside suppliers within no more than half-a-day to a day. We would recommend them.

The service of their providers is not like you hired an independent contractor and paid top dollar. Their plumbers have to come back twice to do what they should have diagnosed the first time and fixed. I have only used the plumbers. The OneGuard folks are nice enough to work with on the telephone.

They are very attentive, versus some of the other places I have used. I would recommend to others

The technician was great but I felt badly mislead by One Guard. I had been told originally when I signed up last fall that both my pool and spa were covered. I assumed that this meant all the components which in the case of the spa means a couple of pumps and a heater. They would only cover one component of the spa and that meant the pool was not covered unless I wanted to buy more coverage.
