The technician Stephen arrived in a timely manner and diagnosed a bad outdoor fan motor and replaced it. He explained the whole issue to me and explained in detail more about my a/c and how it works and what to watch for on my condensation line. I truly loved the tech and will ask for Cool Blew in the future.

I came home from work after a 12 hour day of working construction in the AZ heat to find water on the garage floor. My first thought was that it was going to be a long night replacing my water heater. Something I am capable of doing and I have done in the past. Then I thought I would call my home warranty company and see if they could provide service that night. My thought was that it was almost 5 PM so I would have to do it myself. I called OneGuard and they told me they could have someone out that night. Within 15 minutes of calling, Stellar Home Services called me, the asked a few questions, water heater size, etc. They said they were on their way and should arrive within 30 minutes. By 6:30 PMI had a brand new water heater installed. They left my garage cleaner than what they found out. They were very quick and professional. And it only cost me the small service fee of $59.00! The best $59.00 dollars I ever spent. OneGuard made it so easy and convenient. I will use my home warranty more when something breaks and not try to fix it myself. OneGuard makes it hassle free and I trust that they have good, honest contractors that work with them.

OneGuard has been great. We had our locks keys changed by their contractor Copperstar security. They scheduled quickly and their tech Brent was great. He also offered us a Honeywell alarm system that was discounted because we had the One Guard warranty. We shopped around and the alarm pricing was definitely discounted. Brent came back again for the alarm and did a great job. I would highly recommend Copperstar security and oneguard. We also priced the lock rekey out and saved about $50 versus what we would of paid without the warranty. We have also had our sprinklers repaired by Sprinkler Doctors and appliance repaired by Runyon appliance. All contractors have been awesome.

Firstly the customer service rep I spoke with was absolutely great. Her name was Susie and she was very accommodating and nice, even sympathetic and not in a disingenuous way, I could tell that even though it was my problem she really felt bad for me. I know that doesn't have anything to do with their service, but it was nice to speak with an empathetic customer service agent for a change! The service provider came out quickly and fixed the problem all in one visit. I highly recommend this company. Dane

From the initial appointment set up everything went very smooth. The customer service agent took all of my information and help me set up a time to get my locks rekeyed. The technician that showed up to my home was very professional. He called 30 minutes before his arrival as I was told. He worked quickly and efficiently. I was very impressed. I will continue to use OneGuard for all of my warranty services on my home.

I needed my locks changed and they took care of it the very next day! The people at One Guard were very professional and quick with taking my order and their contractor (CopperStar Security) called back right away to set the appointment. One Guard even followed up to make sure that everything went well. I've never had a home warranty company that took care of things so quickly.

I contacted OneGuard and spoke with a very courteous Customer Service Representative regarding a problem with my sprinkler system. She took all of my information, contacted a provider (she even found one one who made late in the day appointments) She told me they would be contacting me within 4 hours (they did indeed), I scheduled the appointment with Lawn Patrol (very courteous, prompt technicians). The service was performed to my satisfaction. I have been with OneGuard for 5 years and they have always provided excellent service from a problem with my AC unit to an oven thermostat. They are always professional and go above and beyond to solve my problems.

Went great! The contractor was professional, courteous, helpful in providing information on what you should and should not put down the disposal to make it last longer, was dressed professionally, clean and when job was completed was very concerned on leaving his area clean; was very concerned whether I was happy with the job he performed and sincere in making the customer happy. He left the receipt and telephone number in case I had questions. I would most likely ask for this company again if I ever have another appliance service call. OneGuard Home Warranties was quick and professional in setting up the service call and employee who contacted me was very pleasant on the phone. I will recommend this company to all I know.

We have been a customer with OneGuard for 7 years. Had lots of positive experiences, but mostly recently were surprised by an offer to clean our windows! The contractors were polite, professional, and clean cut. It was a pleasure to have them in our home and they did a great job. Having a OneGuard Home Warranty gives predictability to the costs of home ownership, and some real peace of mind that we will get good service and prompt helps when an item in our home fails. OneGuard has accommodated our busy schedules when requesting repairs, and has always sent contractors who were capable and polite. I can recommend OneGuard with no reservations!

He was supposed to be at my home between 2:00 -3:00 on Friday, Sept. 13. He called a half hour before to let me know he was on his way to my house. He showed up at 2:10 and went outside to check the airconditioner. After only a few minutes, he diagnosed the problem, telling me that the relay switch that makes the compressor run was not working and needed to be replaced. The went to his truck, got the new part, installed it right away and then came in the house to turn it on and make sure it worked. The unit was running fine and he left. Their technicians are always polite, competent and professional. I would never use any home warranty company besides One Guard. They do great work, at reasonable prices and make sure that as the customer, you are always satisfied with the job that was done. They always call a day or so after the service call to make sure the customer is satisfied with what was done. I think the are great and it is nice to know that you don't ever have to worry about anything breaking or not working in your home, because they are always there to fix the problem quickly and efficiently.
Description of Work: One Guard sent an air conditioning company out to replace the relay switch that makes the compressor run. The service was very punctual( they came one day after I called saying it wasn't working). Everyone they use are very professional, friendly and helpful. I have had my homes covered by One Guard since the year 2000 and have always been very happy with the service they provide. I think they are the best home warranty company in Arizona. If something is broken, they fix it and if it can't be fixed, they replace it. No hassling or arguing, they just take care of business. I highly recommend them for protecting your home. And i believe they are very reasonably priced for the service the provide.

Just purchased a new home, and decided to purchase a home warranty through OneGuard as well. Needed to have the house rekeyed and contacted a few local locksmiths for quotes. We contacted OneGuard and for just $55, had 6 locks rekeyed and our garage pad and remotes reprogrammed. The local lock smiths were charging around $60 just for the initial travel cost, so instantly saved roughly $60-$80 using OneGuard. In addition to the savings, OneGuard called us to "welcome" us to their company and the turn around to have the lock smith scheduled was very reasonable.

I tried to sum it up in my title. This industry seems to be by definition one that's not entirely customer experience friendly. Its more or less impossible to find one with a clean record but this one is cleaner than most and the service pros I've talked to that have any knowledge of them say they are one of the better ones. I will say that they offer a much more pleasant customer contact experience than the warranty company I had before - that one was awful. They are more responsive and at least initially present a better attitude. We've had 2 service calls during our year with them and in each case they sent out someone a little bit more slowly than I would have liked but not too slow and they got the job done except for an issue with the second one that it still a mess. The second call involved my a/c system. The tech said that the drainage I was experiencing was due to faulty installation. An important point here is that I paid extra for a rider on my policy to cover what was termed as pre-existing conditions. One Guard refused to cover the issue saying that pre-existing didn't cover bad installs from the original builder. I'm sure there is legalese involved that they can hide behind here to keep from being legally responsible but I find the ethics of denying any coverage when I paid for the pre-existing rider to be questionable. So I guess the bottom line is that if I have to have a warranty i'd probably go with these guys and I'm VERY reluctantly going to renew with them but if you do go with them just remember that they are not all that far removed from the other bad players in the industry. Hence my "queen of the pigs" analogy.

It didn't go, the company OneGuard sent out was really bad, It's a shame they use such crummy contractors.
Description of Work: Nothing, absolutely nothing except complain that I was his last stop and he was ready to go home, He came back the next day, this time he said he could do nothing. He did however come in with dirty wet boots and got my freshly cleaned carpet dirty, the guy was either extremely lazy or just didn't want to mess with this, I suspect both. He said they couldn't credit my fees I was charged, I'm still trying to figure out what I was charged for, nothing was done. I was ripped off, I know it, they know it too.

I never imagined shelling out to renew a home warranty, but I just did. OneGuard has a noticeably higher rating on Angie's List than any other company with comparable coverages and a similar number of reviewers, and in our experience they've earned it. The contractors they sent out were always professional and in the case of one plumbing company in particular, a company we'd call back to handle non-warranty claims or anything else. The people we talk to at OneGuard are friendly, professional and great with followup. For what we've paid so far there is positively no question that we're getting our value for money.
Description of Work: We used OneGuard for warranty repairs about 4-5 times over the first year with them. They sent contractors for plumbing problems, to change our locks, and water heater replacement.

A very expensive $550/year One Guard Home Warranty came with the purchase of our house. After living in the house for one month, the HVAC went out. Daily temperatures outside were in the 95-100 range. One Guard took a WEEK to come back and tell us that they were denying the claim due to it being a pre-existing issue. Apparently this is their standard way of doing business. They take FOREVER, then at the end they deny the claim, forcing you to go elsewhere for service. If they had told me a week ago that they were going to do everything they could think of to deny the service claim, I could have had a new HVAC installed by now and spent the last few days in comfort. Needless to say, I will not be renewing the service contract. What a waste of time/money!

We have reviewed all the information in relation to this claim which was for the air conditioning system. On September 3, 2013, you had a scheduled appointment for service with arrival time between the hours of 10:00am and 2:00pm. The service technician arrived to your home at 12:25pm. Unfortunately, you were not able to be home for another 30 minutes. The technician had several more appointments for the day and left to for his next service call, advising he could come back later on the same day. The service contractor assured several OneGuard representatives that the technician would return by 6:00pm, and this information was relayed to you. At 5:15pm the technician returned to the home. However, you became very upset because he entered through your gate without ringing the bell to let you know he was there. You would not let the technician complete the service call. Later that day, at 6:10pm, you called OneGuard’s Customer Care division again, and created a whole new work order to be sent to a different service contractor altogether. We apologize if you feel the contractor was not accommodating. That was never the intention, and we believe that OneGuard and the service contractor acted in your best interest to provide you with service. You could not make the original appointment, and as a courtesy to you, the contractor offered to come back later in the day to accommodate your schedule. Sadly, this could not be worked out and no service was performed. Fortunately, the service order was sent to another contractor and the repair for your air conditioning system was completed. The call to set up service was prompt. The technician arrived before the time of the appointment and said that I wasn't home when the appointment was scheduled. He said something like "I was lucky he didn't go onto his next appointment without calling me." I found him to be curt and unprofessional. He did a good job though. This wasn't OneGuard's issue, but the locksmith company.

There workers either don't show up or misdiagnose the problem. Then it takes multiple trips to get anything fixed. The people at the company are very nice but the repair people they contract with are terrible. I guess if you can make it in business you would not work for a warranty company. 9-9-13 The company does try. They have now cashed out about three things their workmen could not fix. The ice maker, despite the Regrill Guy billing OneGuard over $700, still does not work. The hot water dispenser is unfixable or replaceable with a like item. And the shower hose could not be replaced either. So I am awaiting three checks though the amount for the icemaker was based on a $1000 limit for an extra refrigerator. Only a bit over $300 left now to replace a $2000 appliance. Never received the paperwork that shows this limit and requested it again today. 10-10-13 They finally cashed me out of the three appliances they could not fix. Sadly the icemaker was not much given the cost of the product but I replaced it with a countertop unit which seems a better alternative. I've raised the company's grade since they really do try. The problem is in the people they have contracted. I suggested perhaps instead of being an HMO for appliances they should let the licensed professionals you already know bill them for services.
Description of Work: Waited all day for their plumber who neither came or called. JB Plumbing. Also still waiting (3 months) for my ice maker to be fixed and installed. The Regrill Guy.

I've had several things go wrong in our house, I normally just fix them myself to avoid the $60 service charge but I did make a call on a leak that I found in the garage upon moving. I told them what was going on, they had me send my home inspection to them so that they could confirm that it wasn't a previous leak condition. They charged me $60 and they had a plumber out here within a couple of days. I thought it was going to be a 48-hour service level agreement but I heard from their plumbing people the very next day. It was a good and big risk when I made the service call because I couldn't identify where the leak was so all the repair wouldn't have been covered, finding the leak was not, like if they had to go into a wall and they were like, "Do you still want to proceed?" but it turned out to be easy and the plumber knew directly what was going on. He bought the part even before he got here because of his knowledge and know-how.
Description of Work: I had OneGuard Home Warranties since I purchased a home and I closed on July 2nd. I used them for plumbing and home warranty services.
