OneGuard Home Warranties

We had always been leery of Home Warranty Companies and had heard of bad experiences that people had with them. When we bought our house last year, a Home Warranty with OneGuard Home Warranties was included with the purchase. The house we purchased was over 12 years old and the previous owners were seasonal with the house sitting vacant most of the year. We have had to call OneGuard on multiple occasions for different repairs. Every time, OneGuard provided superior service contacting a repair company and the repairs were made promptly with no problems. We have been so pleased with OneGuard that we recently purchased another year of home warranty service with them. We highly recommend OneGuard Home Warranties. Their Customer Service is excellent.

Repairs went smoothly. They were on time and repaired the one A/C unit as requeted. Extremely professonal!

I called One Guard concerning an issue with my AC and they contacted the service provider to come and repair it. When I did not hear from that provider, they promptly contacted them again and made sure I was contacted. They also always contact me to make sure everything went well and I was satisfied with the service. Whenever there is an issue, they are prompt and professional in taking care of the situation and making it right. Their price for my coverage is very competitive and I only pay $59 for my service calls, while they pay for the covered repairs. I would highly recommend them for a home warranty company to anyone who asked, and have done so on numerous occasions.

I'm here in Frisco, Texas and use their Texas Warranty for my home. (even though their address shows Arizona which is their corporate address) Everything from A-Z goes well every time. Over the 6 years I've had One Guard Hm Warranty, every time I've called the custom service # to request service for my personal home or on behalf of my clients who have their warranty on their home, the representatives have been extremely courteous, patient and enthusiastic to help showing 100% empathy to my concerns. Each and every trade they have sent has been just the same as the experience I had over the phone when ordering the service. They are clean cut, prompt, courteous, understanding and very quick to return should they need to run pick up a part. I then receive a survey asking how my service went and if there's any questions or concerns I have. Rarely have I had to have someone come back out to repair an item again and those times it was mainly for my 18 year old AC unit when something else went out not related to what they just repaired. After horrible experiences with a few other home warranties over the past 12 years of owning my home, I've been nothing by satisfied 100% with my decision to switch to One Guard years ago. In fact, I encouraged my mother and all my neighbors to try One Guard out, too. They are all 100% satisfied as well after signing up with them 2 years ago! One Guard is my #1 recommended company when I hand out 3 recommended vendors to my home buyer and seller clients. Each and every one of them (there's over 100 of them) signed up and happy with their service. Now don't get me wrong... nothing is perfect in this world. There's been only a handful of times I and/or my clients called back with a concern of a repair that was done - which was something very minor, the customer service reps as well as anyone else I've spoken to in the company always took customer satisfaction to heart and addressed the concerns asap getting it resolved immediately and called later to follow up making sure we were satisfied and happy. Whereas the past companies I had, this was one of the biggest problems and complaints -how they treated their clients on anything from the initial call to what they covered to the end result. Therefore, I can honestly tell you I only put my reputable name on my recommendations of vendors who Exceed Client Expectations as I do, demonstrate the same work ethic and integrity and who I have personally used. With all this said, If you have had bad experiences in the past with other home warranties or never used one before, just try One Guard Home Warranty. I promise, you will be so happy you did!! It was a very mixed bag. The call center is very prompt and courteous. The vendors are very prompt to return your call and are available in a reasonable timeframe. We did however find out that many of the vendors that they use are very unskilled at their trade. Basic things like preseason furnace and a/c checks went fine and a problem with our thermostat was resolved promptly, but other services were problematic. The locksmith constantly grumbled about how many locks we had and informed us that we were screwing up his schedule even though I informed the dispatchers about the number of locks that we had and was paying extra for those locks. He changed out all but two of our locks, because he said that he couldn't get them. This comprised our security, so I had to call out a skilled trade locksmith and pay out of pocket. He had no problem switching the locks over. My Viking cooktop was the biggest problem. It took a whole year to fix. The burners wouldn't light. They kept sending out the same guy who didn't seem to know anything about the appliance. He didn't know how to open it, didn't know where the serial # was, etc., etc. He would order a part, wait months, install it, still wouldn't, work, reorder the same part, install it, still, wouldn't work, reorder the same part, install it, wouldn't work, reorder the same part.... I kept saying why don't we try something else, this obviously isn't working, but he was confident that the manufacturer was sending him faulty parts. I had to escalate, escalate, escalate, within OneGuard to get them to send a different company out. Finally they did, he ordered a different part and my range was fixed, one year later. What a pain! The second company informed me that they were sent out to clean up the messes of the first company,who are very unskilled. Great! I had a kitchen faucet that leaked and a leak under the kitchen sink. I had two different of their plumbers out to resolve. Both said I don't see anything wrong and left without doing anything. I had the issues resolved by my own plumber who was doing some remodeling in my bathrooms...I had to pay out of pocket. In my opinion the warranty policy that is supposed to provide ease and price protection to the customer actually provides little more than frustration. I would much rather vet potential contractors on Angies List myself. Hire them myself. If I am dissatisfied I can call someone else, not be held hostage for a year...I mean really!

The Cool Blew, Inc. service technician provided detailed information about our units. He arrived on-time, presented a professional appearance and told us not to hesitate to contact them if a problem occurred. This was our third experience with this company and on each occasion their outstanding service was above reproach.

My garage door was off the track. They got it back on. They did a 21 point inspection and tune up for free. They replaced the broken spring. And came within an hour of my original call.

The plumbing contractor used by One Guard arrived within several days and determined that the valve could not be repaired and needed to be replaced. He recommended a Moen shower valve and head. It had to be ordered but was installed the following week. I contacted One Guard concerning the drywall repair necessary as a result of the valve replacement. A different drywall company repaired the 12 inch square hole with several days. All I had to do was to paint it. Both contractors referred by One Guard were punctual, professional and did a great job. The fee per the contract was $55 total.

In our last service call the service was for our pool timer. The Company sent out to us was Pool Agency and their tech was Mike. He called ahead to give me his eta, arrived on time and not only fixed the timer but found another problem and returned the next day to handle that as well! All was covered by One Guard. We recently bought a home which came with a two year home warranty. Terrible warranty company with terrible service companies which didn't call ahead or arrive on time let alone the same day! Service companies whose techs would show up in unmarked, personal, beaten up looking vehicles. Unkempt, unprofessional looking and sometimes without a clue as to how to fix the problem at hand or worse yet trying to sell us their own warranties which all came with a sales pitch!! A year before our "Free" home warranty expired we found ourselves calling One Guard to cover our home!

They were called to fix a leaking toilet. They fixed the leak but also replaced all the parts in the tank. They cleaned the bottom of the tank before reassembly. They picked up all the garbage and cleaned up after all their work. This was definitely going the extra mile.

Called to tell them that her A/C was acting up and to have someone schedule an appointment for a provider to come and service the A/C. I've been bounced around to 4 different providers to schedule an appointment and all but the last one has been out ot my service area to do the work. And the last provider actually is about 50 miles away. I've been trying to have this done for about a week now and I feel as if you're going to schedule for someone to come to do your work, they should at least know the service areas that the providers cover for their customers.

ONE GUARD CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EXCELLENT. JOSH LISTENED TO MY ISSUE (APPLIANCE REPAIR) CONFIRMED WITH ME THE NAME OF THE SERVICE COMPANY ALONG WITH A PHONE NUMBER, TOLD ME I WOULD BE RECEIVING A CALL WITHIN 4 HOURS (I WAS CALLED IN LESS THAN 2 HOURS). THE SERVICE CONTRACTOR CAME AT A TIME CONVENIENT FOR ME (AFTER 6:00 PM). THE PROBLEM WAS DIAGNOSED AND THE DISHWASHER WAS REPAIRED WITHIN AN HOUR. I HAVE HAD ONEGUARD FOR 5 YEARS AND CAN CONFIRM THAT THEIR SERVICE SETS THE STANDARD FOR HOME WARRANTY COMPANIES.

I think the company was very professional; however, I did not like the provider that they sent out to do the work because the heating professional was not very thorough and did not clean up after himself.

They were very courteous and professional.

One Guard set up the appointment for our air conditioner to be looked at immediately, as we had a walk through in the late afternoon for the sale of our home. We were quite worried they may not be able to repair the unit prior to the walk -through and escrow. However, Mark, the technician from Comfortable Living Air Conditioning and Heating, arrived quickly and immediatly diagnosed the problem. He was able to repair the unit in plenty of time for our walk through! Mark saved the day. We appreciated the fact that One Guard has contracted many excellant companies to take care of our home. We will not use any one else! In fact they continue to take care of our homes!

I contacted OneGuard a couple of months ago when I started having a squealing problem with my dryer. Right away, they sent off a work order to a company named Ace Appliance Repair. The contractor called me within the hour to set up a service appointment for the following day. Both OneGuard and the appliance company were very thorough and informative. So much that they were pretty much able to determine the problem with a couple of questions over the phone. They arrived the following day within the allotted timeframe and also called me when they were on their way from their previous appointment. They came well prepared and had the job completed within an hour. Great Service from start to finish!

Service was wonderful! The Contractor was on time and immediately treated the problem. Have not seen another tube since the treatment. Thank you, OneGuard and Action Termite!

I came home to find the temperature in my home was 92º and rising. I placed a call to OneGuard Home Warranties and a very nice man, Brad, took down all my information and knew the situation was dire since I only had 1 a/c unit and no cooling. He was able to find a company, AZ Trade Masters, that could come out quickly for me. Brad was very nice and empathetic. Within a few hours the technician came out and was able to make the repair. The home started cooling down right away. Thank you OneGuard and AZ Trade Masters.

They were out the next day, the contractor was on time and completed the repairs without any issues.

We are so pleased with everything. From the first call with the service representative all the way to the completed repair. The technician was so responsive. He came out right away and our pool was back to a beautiful blue in no time. Thank you OneGuard!

It was a wonderful experience. When I called in to OneGuard Home Warranties they were very responsive and helpful. The security company/locksmith called me quickly and set up an appointment for the next day. The technician was on time, knowledgeable and friendly. I am very happy with my home warranty and glad that I can depend on OneGuard Home Warranties to send me trustworthy contractors to do home repairs for me when needed.

It was after work 6:00 PM and I was in the garage when I heard the dripping from my hot water heater. I called OneGuard right away worried at the time that an evening call would be a problem. I spoke with Justin, not only did Justin make me feel confident that it was going to be taken care of, he called me right back to let me know he had spoken to the contractor and that they would call me within 10 minutes. 5 minutes later the plumbing company called me, I told him what was going on and he walked me through turning off the water to avoid further damage from the leak. By 7am the next morning before I had to go to work they were their with a brand new hot water heater. It took all but 20 minutes and I was off to work. I purchased a OneGuard policy when I bought my new home 5 years ago and have used them several times, their customer service and contractors they hire go above and beyond to make any unexpected situation a worry free and positive experience regardless of the time of day, or night in my situation.

Our upstairs A/C went out just after we moved into our home. We had purchased a home warranty through OneGuard and called them to figure out what to do. Thank goodness it was covered. They set us up with a repair company and they were out the next day. The part we needed was expensive and took several days to come in. When it came it the company came back and installed it. They said the price of just the part was $2800. I only paid $55. What a blessing. We were so glad we purchased the home warranty. Because of this experience, we also purchased another warranty for a rental home - also with OneGuard.

Tech from stellar home services came to my home the same day that I called in for service. Juan was friendly quick clean and replaced my disposal. I have had another issue and it was taken care of quickly as well. The customer care representatives have been friendly and helpful. I would always recommend this company. Everyone is great!!!
