Handyman Connection - Phoenix

Joe arrived with all of the tools needed for the job and set to work. There was a lot of measuring and transferring of the placement of the hinges from the old door to the new door as well as the door knobs. What I was not aware of was that there are a million little details that can make this task difficult. No two doors are exactly alike so the reality is there is way more to the job than what I just described. He had to hang the doors at least two or three times - making different adjustments each time to facilitate the opening and closing of the door perfect. I know now that I was very lucky to have Joe - he has a wealth of knowledge as to how things work when building and maintaining a home. As he worked he explained to me what he was doing and why - I definitely learned a lot in the couple of hours he was here. He was very professional, made very little mess and cleaned up better than I would have. He did not leave until he made those two doors perfect and me very grateful for his expertise. I will definitely use him again with great confidence. I received great value for my money!!!

All items were addressed except that the tilter mechanism which controls the pitch of the blinds was broken and I needed to order a new one. I was told by the handyman that I would have to pay an additional fee for the handyman to return another day to install the new one. However, I still had to pay the same price which was quoted for the complete repair, yet the repair was not done. I've tried to contact the Handy Man Connection several times but I cannot get anyone to answer the phone. I've left a message on their voicemail whose greeting indicates that they are closed for the Thanksgiving Holiday and that they will return on Monday at 8am. Today is Monday and it is 11am. Still no answer, and still no call back. Frankly, I feel cheated.

We had Jeff move cabinets from our kitchen and garage areas and re-hang them in the laundry room. I was surprised that this was a job that one person could perform, but he applied ingenuity and displayed his craftsmanship and did an excellent job! He also installed 2 new outdoor lights on our patio area, which look great. I would highly recommend Jeff and will make sure to request his services the next time I need a Handyman!

We had been without the use of the pantry (and all of it's contents) for almost two months. While there is still much to be done in other areas of the house due to this leak, we decided to contact Handyman Connection (after seeing the reviews on Angie's List) to see if would be able to help us get this area back to a usable space. They responded the next day via email and a phone call and came out the next day and completed the work within 2 hours. The serviceman was pleasant, professional, and even made sure we had a coupon which lowered the price by $25.00. We couldn't have been more pleased with this service and we are so thankful we made this call to Handyman Connection.

What's to telll, I have already told you....Joe was efficient, came promptly when he said he would, did a very competent job and is a real professional. Did not give us any 'story' that it would not be able to be done or would cost too much to do. Very nice person. And the job was done extremely well.

For the most part,I am happy with the end results, although the work took much longer than I was expecting. The only issues I had were with the 2nd handyman who did the painting. He explained how he would be removing the door handles on my exterior doors to paint and that if I wanted to replace the hardware, now would be the time. ( I was thinking about this already, so was more than willing to purchase new hardware. ) He also suggested replacing the hinges to match, since my hinges had been painted over, and were rusting. I bought new hinges and was ready to go. After installing most of the hinges, we realized that several of the hinges were different than those I had bought. I had to special order the hinges, and Mike assured me that when the hinges arrived, to call me and he would come and put them on. It took several weeks to get the hinges, so when I called, he sounded like he had forgotten about me. We arranged several different times for him to come out, and each time, he either forgot, or was "delayed" on another job, and would not be able to make our appointed time. At the time of this review, I have not heard back from him. I have called and left several messages, and he does not return my calls.

Great! We are located out of state and rent our house so it is very important to us to have a reliable, quality service provider who can take care of things for our tenant on our behalf. Joe at Handyman Connection was prompt (early, actually), professional, courteous, and called me quickly with an estimate. I was able to pay by phone with a credit card and couldn't be happier with the service. Will definitely be calling them again.

Mike was prompt, courteous and professional. From beginning to clean-up, it could not have gone better. I am very happy with the results.

He did a clean, nice, and timely job.

We have a large ceiling at our dining / kitchen area and water damage from shower above caused the ceiling to cave in. Ron Besch was called in to provide the work needed. His first visit was to do an estimate on the job requirements. He was very punctual and to the point. Made me aware of possible issues that could arise once he got into the ceiling. I was impressed with his professionalism and we decided to use his services. Once the job started, Ron began the demolition work and ran into tons of debris from the second floor bathroom repairs. He took it in stride, but turned out to be more mess that he had bargained for. The repairs to the drywall went smoothly. I could tell that Ron was very experienced in doing this work. But, I was really impressed with the really important piece of the job...the texturing. Ron meticulously worked on attempting to copy the existing texture of the ceiling. He went through great lengths, even redos to ensure that the texture was seemless. In the end, it was. After Ron painted the work he did, my wife and I had to really look hard to be able to tell where Ron had done his work! Awesome! We highly recommend Handyman Connections and Ron Besch!

Lew showed up on-time for both the estimate and when work started. He finished the job in the allotted time, and was flexible about when the interior work would be done so that we didn't have to miss work. The concrete has cured and is very stable, with the only remaining step being to coat it with a cool-decking coating to attempt match the rest of the deck (a different contractor).

Very pleased. The plumber performed the work professionally, did exactly what he laid out in the estimate. Explained what was needed when it turned out to be more involved once the broken part was clear to see. Cleaned up afterwards. Would definitely recommend.

We were so happy with Handy Man. It started with Shelley who was our first contact with the company to Mike who did outstanding work. This was our first experience using anyone on Angie's List and it was a wonderful experience. We are new to the area and did not know how to find a plumber. If I could give them an A++, I would have. I also wanted to stress that it was so nice to get an accurate estimate before we agreed to the work.

When I called the office I was greeted with a friendly response. I was able to schedule the work that week. When Sean arrived we walked through the house and Sean listed all my requests. He provided the estimate and went right to work. It was all done well and within a very good time.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!! This company has done everything they said they would do, has stuck by their word and warranties their work. I made an appointment that fit my schedule, the company selected a technician that they felt would be most likely to handle all my requests, and the technician assigned contacted me the day before and day of the appointment. The technician that has worked with me - Seann Wilson - is extremely personable and knowledgeable. He accommodated every request, and, as you can see by the list of the things he did, is widely "handy." He was very professional and made sure to contact me and verify all requests. He was willing and able to go and purchase necessary parts (obviously with my paying him for the materials). I will definitely use this company again - as I have already used them twice - and will request Seann again in the future.

Went longer than anticipated, but overall job was well done. I would use him again.

Appt. was scheduled for 8am and Mike came right on time. When adding the new circuit breaker for our microwave oven, the wiring had to go through the attic and several large holes were cut out in the drywall by the kitchen (this was due to the home structure). Mike spent two days at our home and acted in a most professional manner. Once the wiring was complete, he worked diligently to repair the drywall, as well as sand, prime and paint. He did a fantastic job and I must say what an honorable company. The initial estimate I received by another electrician at Handyman Connection was for significantly less work (maybe an hour or two). Alan, at Handyman Connection, honored the price from the original estimate $190. and went way above and beyond what I could have ever imagined. Thanks to Alan for his commitment to his clients and to Mike for doing such an exceptional job. I will definitely call again and recommend you to friends.

The serviceman arrived on time. He advised me of repairs needed and carried them out in a timely manner.

The company called me the same day I sent the request & set up an appointment for an estimate. Lew came on the designated date & time & gave me an estimate for the work. I got another estimate but decided to go with Handyman. I called them back a couple days later & they schedule the work to be done the following week. They scheduled 3.5 days. The only problem I had was that I never got a varification call & no one told me what time they were coming. The work began on schedule & was completed on schedule. They supplies cost me over $600 dollars extra & the estimate went up by another $120. The installed did do an outstanding job & even though the cost was more than I anticipated, it was worth it in the end.

The handyman that came out was very friendly and the job took much longer than anticiapted, but he was very professional and polite. The sliding bathroom door was more difficult of a job to fix, but the cost was as quoted. I was very happy with the level of service and will plan to use them again.

While the estimator was nice, the time it took to get the estimate to us was too long.

We were very pleased with the overall service. The installs were clean and the drywall repairs were seamless. We were on a tight schedule and he was able to complete all the work on time. We appreciated his flexibilty in managing the schedule.

Joe DeMarco arrived right on time. We had a variety of projects to complete but he was able to give us a quick and accurate estimate. He did the work the same day. He has a great knowledge of construction and knew just how to do each job. He works quickly and with great precision. Everything was done well and we were very satisfied with the results. We will certainly call him in the future!
