Handyman Connection - Phoenix

Arrived on time. Very knowledgable, was able to fix all that I requested. Very meticulous and detail oriented.

First guy prepped it and told me what paint to get and then left town so another guy came to finish but it was not a good job. Then there was a problem getting a third guy because of the fumes from the paint - not my choice, in the first place.............. Third guy came and did the whole job over from the beginning (full prep & sanding)and we set up a fan for him to blow out the fumes. He had no problem and did a good job. Even though the whole mess took 7 weeks - that was a lot of emptying and restocking the shelves - I was happy that the Handyman Connection stood by their guarantee and will use them again.

the handyman arrived punctually and had a very friendly professional attitude and when i explained to him all the issues he responded in detail how he'd fix the issue. he then took a reasonable amount of time to fix all the issues and then walked me through them. about a week after the repairs i still found a leak from the outdoor hose faucet in my backyard and called them again. they promptly scheduled another visit and found the issue very quickly and fixed it to my satisfaction.

This is a top rate outfit. They act properly at all times. They like to quote a job for labor only with materials extra. However, they will quote the job for materials and labor if you ask but you pay for their time to collect the materials and deliver them to the job site. If you have your own parts, you can save some money. I especially appreciate the coordination done by Shelly Carr in the office. She really knows how to communicate with a customer--a rare find in this world!

I initially used Handyman Connection to repair a small problem I had in my kitchen, and was more than satisfied with the work they did, in particular, with Bob Sanford -- because of his years of experience, Bob was able to make some good suggestions, he knew what to do, he knew how to do it, he worked quickly, and he did quality work. What?s more, I had Bob / Handyman Connection come back for two more projects, the second of which involved additional skilled people, and in every case Bob either recommended companies (such as the architect and the surveyor), or scheduled people (including concrete workers and roofers) and over-saw their work. Bob took care of ordering materials, he arranged for city inspections, and was flexible whenever I wanted to make a change in the plans. In addition, throughout every project he cleaned up the work area every day. I was very pleased with Handyman Connection, with Bob, obviously, but also found several employees who I dealt with over the phone to be courteous and prompt in taking care of matters. I have nothing but positive things to say about Handyman Connection.

The handyman was punctual, polite, put on shoe covers to protect my floors. He was very knowledgeable about the job and fixed the fans. Before starting he explained the problem and cost, then did the job.

Well, one evening I was washing up my dishes and not paying attention to what I was doing I tossed lots of bones ( I think they were chicken bones) down the garbage disposal along with other stuff. I did not really notice this and when I turned on the disposal lots and lots of smoke came out and this horrible burning smell. Well I panicked and quickly shut everything off. Not being handy myself I searched Angie's list for someone to come out and replace my unit. I found the HandyMan Connection and decided to give them a try. What a wonderful experience. From the first call ... to the appointment date ... to the service itself was great. The person was very prompt and professional and fast! My new disposal was installed in 15 minutes.

This service went very well, Got estimate on painting familyroom which was way to high.

They had told me it would take a week and they met that timeline. They removed the old fixtures and replaced with new ones that I had ordered through them. The gentleman that did the work was friendly and did a great job. He confirmed on the first day what was to be done and checked on the last day when he had a question regarding a grab bar. I appreciated his suggestions. I would hire them again.

i called for a jamming door and gap at the top and bottom. i specifically asked for an expert in door repair. the guy who came probably knew as much as i do about doors. he cleared the jam ok by replacing 8 screws and said he removed the gap at the top but the one at thebottom cannot be removed. the gap at the top is still there and we seem to have paid $190 for only 8 3" long screws. what a price to pay?. One thing i hsvr to mention in fairness is that he did us a favor by dring 7 holes in our aluminum patio door without charging us for it. thank you. i do not belame the craftsman, but the company for not sending the right expert. it is not true that an estimate was provided upfront. i can swear on that!!!!!!!!!!! I still give the job an F grade

I thought he was a good worker and it was a very challenging project. He did his best and everything's working.

Handyman office personnel were very professional right from when we contacted them for the first time to schedule appointment till the work got finished. Jonathan - the contractor was very professional, prompt and courteous and provided on time estimate. Work was completed on time and overall finishing of the job is fantastic. We will certainly use Handyman service again.

Mike is a very skilled and professional handyman. He provided constant communication related to the progress of the project. He was able to repair the interior of a home that was in complete disarray and return it to a "like new home"! Highly recommend Handyman Connections, they met and exceeded my expectations.

Wayne called before coming and arrived on time. He was very knowledgeable and told me about several options. Then he proceeded to start with the simplest solution first. He adjusted the lock and the strike plate and now the door locks easily. I will definitely call again for other projects.

I contacted Handyman Connection o get this job quoted. I had all the materials on hand, just needed the labor. My first appointment was scheduled for 2 weeks after I called to make the appointment - a long wait but I understand that each craftsman has to stay on the job until it's finished. One day before the craftsman was to show up, I received a call to cancel because the craftsman needed more time on the job he was currently working. I re-scheduled to the following week. One day before the craftsman was to show up the second time, I received a call to cancel because the craftsman's current job was not yet finished. I re-scheduled to the following week. One day before the craftsman was to show up the second time, I received a call to cancel because there were problems at the current job. The third time was * not* the charm and I cancelled the work order completely. I will find another provider for this service. This was the first time I used Handyman Connection. I selected them based on other Angie's List member's reviews and because I wanted a lower-cost solution I'm very disappointed that this company doesn't do a better job at estimating or scheduling their jobs - or just having other handymen on available to fill in when project schedules overrun.

I feel like Dave did good work. He showed up on time, gave an estimate and stuck to it. After hewas done, he cleaned up after himself. Getting the job set up was good too. He was able to come out a couple of days after calling.

His estimate was outrageous. My renter who met with him said he was nice. However, he wanted to charge $260 to reinstall 18 tiles.

I have used them twice for work. I was pretty impressed the first time and under whelmed the second time. I was a little shocked by the price for both jobs. They did give me a coupon for $50 credit and I used it for the second job. The first guy who came out was great. He did quality work and was professional. I was super impressed by him. The second guy was not that impressive compared to the first.

He initial texturing looked horrible, so I made them redo the work. I had them come back since the drywall cracked on about half of the spots. They did warm me it might crack. They did come out the for free to fix it. All of the spots are now fine except one. They were very professional and handled the situation well. They were easy to get out and do the work and at a reasonable price. They were easy to work around my schedule and had the resources to do so with ease.

The work turned out good. The work was done correctly. The technician they sent out was prompt and very courteous. I purchased the faucet and they brought the materials for drywall. Scheduling was very easy. He was very good with clean up as well.

I had a pretty good experience. He did exactly what I wanted and did the way I wanted. I bought everything beforehand and knew where I wanted them go. He showed up and did exactly what I asked him to do, no questions asked. He showed up on time and scheduling was easy. He showed up within a couple of weeks. He was very professional, trustworthy, honest and I would probably use them again.
