Handyman Connection - Phoenix

Handyman connection was great. Mr Cox arrived and was able to quote the job on the spot. In addition, he was able to do the job the same day. The job required him to patch the drywall, apply 2 layers of mud and blend the texture to match the rest. He did an excellent job. We have since had the walls and ceiling repainted and there is no evidence of any repair work. His work was great and he took great care to clean up thoroughly after he finished. This was well worth the money.

Austin was on-time, prepared and professional. All work was done with 1/2 a day, with the exception of the electrical outlet. He had switched it out, but it blew again the next day. This is a more complex problem that would run me around $200 to fix one outlet, so, I'm not going to worry about it, nor do I hold Austin responsible. So, overall, it was not cheap, but it was done right. In the long run, I'd rather pay to have it done right than to continue to re-visit the problem. In addition, the office staff was great and even called after the job was done to see how satisfied I was with the work.

Work was very good, craftsman was knowledge. Fine quality.

The Handyman, Bill Mount was prompt, on time and accommodated my time restraints. He was pleasant, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He knew what he was doing and accomplished the tasks quickly and efficiently. I will be calling Handyman Connection again soon. The price was extremely reasonable and I got a discount for using Angie's list.

Handyman Connection matched our repair needs with someone who had experience with masonry and electrical work. Bill M. was the handyman who contacted us the same day I had phoned in our request to the company. The telephone operator I spoke with when placing the order was very courteous and thorough in asking questions to properly match a handyman with our project. We had about 7 things around the house in need of repair. Bill M. came over for an estimate and began the work promptly. He completed everything quite expertly, cleaned up after completing the work and did it all very promptly. We will certainly use Handyman Connection again and would recommend both the company and Bill M.!

I called for an estimate October 22, 2007 and Robert came. The original quote was higher, but with a coupon, it brought the price down a bit. I had Robert perform the job on the spot because of the time savings for both of us. He was respectful of my house and wore shoe covers and used a drop cloth to protect the travertine floor upon which he placed the ladder. The new texturing matched the old ceiling texture perfectly. I painted the repaired area myself the next day and it looks like new. You cant tell that there had been a crack.

Their very clean. Someone from the company called me the next day to see how my experience went. One of the questions she asked was if the tech took his shoes off before entering my home.

He showed up on time, worked methodically, kept me informed all the way.

Frank arrived on time and started immediately. He had issues with the first outlet box since it had many wires coming into it so we opted to use another one which was 5 feet away. He finished the job after an hour and a half. Every works fine and we use it to plug a motion-detector lamp at the side of the house as well as a water softener.

I am completely satisfied with the work that he did for me. He had great suggestions and willing to do exactly what I wanted. The job turned out great and I am pleased with that. I have used him before to paint the entire exterior of my house and he was very good then also. He did a very professional job and I would highly recommend him. He is very reasonable in the price also.

I was satisfied with the work overall. I think that in terms of their quality of work, they are more than okay. The only thing that I would say I did not like about them was that the price was too high for the work they did. Considering that the work was a minor one, the price was too high. Other than that, I think they are alright.

He put a lot of time into installing the fan. He did a great job and I was satisfied. He put the whole thing together and connected everything perfectly. I was impressed and I would recommend them to other people any time. They have a trustworthy and hardworking business.

They are very quick to get back to you. They always call you to double check the time they are supposed to be in my home and how to arrive there. They are not the cheapest but they are very quick and that s worth it.

Extremely prompt, and professional. It was a difficult diagnosis and he spent a lot of extra time on a problem, that should have taken 25 minutes. The job ended up taking several visits to diagnose and solve the problem because ultimately, a new toilet was required. He ended up going to the hardware store with me, he is very flexible with his times and did not charge me extra.

I was very satisfied with the work done by this handyman. He did everything I asked him to do, and the quality of work was excellent. Another thing I was very impressed with was how fast he worked. He was very responsible and the courtesy he showed the whole time was really above standard.

Frank came to give an estimate, which was very reasonable, and then said he could complete the job immediately, if we liked. So he tackled the shower and then the front door. The entire job was done in under 2 1/2 hours. We had a coupon for 50 dollars off any job over 250, which obviously didn't apply in this case. Still, the company very nicely gave us a 25 dollar discount instead.

Done in less than three hours, including the purchase of materials.

This company is very professional. You speak to a person, not a machine, when you call to schedule work. Work was performed within 2-3 days of the initial call. Brett Payton was the service person assigned to us. He was professional. He called the day before to confirm that he would be at our house at the appointment time. He cleaned up after himself. He gave good explanations of the projects. He was at our house for about 4 hours. This included the time it took for him to go to Home Depot to get materials.

Alex showed up on time for both the estimate and the actual work. He gave me the list of materials (wood) needed for the project, including the specific types of wood to avoid. The work was very well done. I was a little disappointed that he did not clean up the saw dust around the doors (I was, however, sweeping out the garage and he may have thought I was going to do the clean-up of the saw dust.)

The company sent out one of their handymen to do 3 estimates. I questioned one of them as it seemed high. The work was to fix 2 gates that were hung incorrectly. He quoted $265 minus the $50 'coupon', with me buying the necessary parts. When I asked him how long it would take he said 'a couple hours'. I thought $132.50 per hour for labor was way high, especially for something that was basically unskilled labor. When I questioned him about it he revised his time estimate to '3 or 4' hours. I wasn't satisfied so later called the office to find out what kind of guidelines their employees were to follow when giving quotes and she said there were none. When I pressed for more information, saying 'You mean they can go out and charge anything they want?' she said 'No'. But I still got no further answer, even when I asked her if there was someone there that knew what the guidelines were. I later had the work done for $145 & he had a better solution to fix them plus oiled the gates to boot.

He did everything wonderfully! They even called when we were done to make sure everything was done right, on time, and cleaned up properly. He just did wonderful job.

When I called Handyman Connection I was told that Dave would call that evening to schedule a time for the next day. Dave called and we set up a time for the next morning. Dave was on time, he inspected the work area and then called the office to found what the fee would be for the work. He then went and got materials. The way the company works is you pay the handyman for the materials he purchases at a local store. Dave purchased $31 in materials which I reimbursed him for. I watched most of the work he did and he explained what he was doing and why. He also recommended things I could do to prevent the water damage I had on the old threshold and door jamb. It took him about 2.5 hours from the time he arrived till the time he completed the work. He cleaned up the work area and had me inspect it. I've had problems with water leaking around the threshold since the house was built, it rained recently and I had no leakage.

Work was done in under an hour and was satisfactory, though far too expensive for the level of difficulty of the tasks.

The handyman came out and gave an estimate which I accepted. He was on time for his appointment. He was very careful to not mess up any of the surroundings (covered items with plastic, etc.). He applied the reinforced tape, put the drywall patch up, textured the ceiling to match, and then went to the store to get matching paint. The paint matched exactly. I was very happy with the job and in fact had another small drywall job a few weeks later and requested the same handyman for that job.

Went very well. Bob did the estimate, but wasn't able to start work for a few days. While I was out of town, Bob completed all of the work. As far as the drywall repairs went, you can't tell it was ever damaged! Prior patch jobs stand out, but the work Bob did is unnoticeable. The best part is that Handyman Connection stands by their estimates. I was given a ''no less than'' and a ''no more than''. Even though the work took about twice as long, I didn't get charged more than the maximum.
