A Authentic Garage Door Service

Two "technicians" showed up late in the afternoon. Only one got out of the service truck, used our bathroom, looked at the broken bracket on the door and said we had to replace the entire door...hard to believe. He did not leave the rollers that were promised and they left. The second "technician" sat in the truck the entire time enthralled with his cell phone. Pretty much "A Authentic Garage Door Do Nothings!"

Our garage door wasn't always staying up at the top, but would roll an inch or so down after opening. After replacing these things, the door now operates smoothly and more quietly than before. The rep. was very informative and cordial.

Company failed to schedule the work. After about a month from purchase, I called and company dispatched a tech that same day.

The company emplyee arrived on schedule was very professional in appearance and manners. He proceeded to exam all doors, but 2 days prior to his arrival 1 door mounting bracket to door opener had pulled away from the door. It twould required re-attaching it with a nut and bolt, better then a self tap screw that was originally used, but the techinician said he had a bracket that was stronger and for our doors would last forever. He was right and installed a second one one the main door. All this work took about an hour and no extra labor on the 2 bracket installations. The doors are smoother, less noise, and seem more solid. I would call them for all our garage door needs in the future.

Purchased garage door lube and keyless entry keypad. Our garage door remotes had not been working for quite some time and we thought a keyless entry would be an inexpensive way to solve the problem. The tech arrived on time and was very polite and professional. I mentioned the remotes weren't working and he asked to see one of them. He then walked over the the wall, pushed the "Lock" button on the garage door switch and the remote worked! (Oops! Apparently the remotes had been accidentally locked out by us at some point!) He quickly installed and programmed the keypad and lubed the door. Very quick and courteous.

tech was on time, focused on the task at hand. no additional work was needed, which was a relief. often a concern when buying deals. i asked to reprogram and purchase another remote clicker. just realized i was overcharged based on the true market value. i could have gotten two clickers for $53 with tax :( not certain if i would use the company again, but i can only choose yes or no.

Technician came out, did the Big Deal preventative maintenance on the double door, and troubleshot and repair the single garage door.

They were very professional, prompt, explained everything in detail, and provided a variet of options. I could see how some folks may think they were upselling their serivces, but they were really providing the various options that we could choose from. We decided to replace the garage door opener with the equilavent of our 10yr model 10yrs ago. We are very happy with the results. The opener is so quiet. Not to mention the manual openers work as expected. It was nice not to have to think of all the little "ins" and "outs" that are come with replacing a garage door opener.

Technician went above and beyond in his helpfullness and attention to the issues with the garage door I had been experiencing. Aside from the obvious $$ value cost savings, priced at other door companies at $150 - .$200., the very special and competant technician that arrived, SCOTT, did not try to sell me anything and was scrupulously honest. . Quite frankly a refreshing encounter in the service/trades industiries. . All people I spoke with in arranging the appontment, confirming and scheduling were courteous and helpful. ASK FOR SCOTT to perform the service !

Super young technician...had a problem because the door and equipment are very old but he hung in there and got it all set up. He then checked the operation of the door, showed me any recomendations he had for a better operation...oiled all necessary parts. Very efficient young man. I have forgotten his name but when I have any more work done I would like to have him back. His Tech. # is 06

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. He did do a good job in trying to upsell. I walked away with an estimate of $600 to fix the garage door which was kind of a surprise. I might use them again.

They were responsive, prompt and efficient and seemed knowledgable.

In stalled a key pad for my garage. Job completed without any issues

Overall was fine but probably wont use them again because too expensive.

The Spring broke on our garage door. Called the company six years ago (for something else) and was pleased with work, double checked Angie's List before calling again. Called last night and they were ready to send someone out immediately. Told them next day was fine. Mervin (or Merwin, not sure) came at 7:30 this a.m. and installed two new springs, new bearings, etc. Had everything working in short order. 5 year warranty on parts, and garage door is running smoothly again.

Our garage door came off its' track. We called Authentic Garage Door Service. On that call we were quoted a time of arrival, which they meet. The garage door was analyzed and we were told the issue(s). As it was late and getting dark we offered to have the serviceman continue the next day. However the offer was declined and our service man told us he would stay to finish the work. We were thrilled. He left momentarily to pick up parts and returned just as stated. The work was done that same day. We were treated well and honestly by the company. We will use them again if/when needed. Also would highly recommend them based on their work ethic alone!

They were great and very quick. They knew exactly what they were doing.

I needed to leave the house on a Sunday AM to run an errand. When I opened the garage door, it would only open halfway. I released the emergency latch, and I discovered that 1 of the 2 spiral springs was broken into 2 pieces. I research repair shops on Angie's list and called Authentic. They quoted the repair cost over the phone and arrived within 20 minutes. The repair was completed with 45 minutes and the cost was exactly as quoted. I never expected to have this repair completed so quickly, and on a Sunday! What service!

I was very impressed with Scott. He knows his business. He took the time to really examine what the problem was and determine how he could save me money. He was very professional.

The door works very well now, no issues with it not opening or closing, no issues what so ever. I cannot say enough good things about this company and their technician, they worked around my work schedule, came late afternoon. The price, I thought at the time, was a little expensive, but since the work was done I have researched the brand of door opener and I found that the price I paid for 2 service calls and a new opener was actually very reasonable.

I called A-Authentic because they were on Angie's List and had good reviews. The primary reason for the call was to replace a broken garage door opener, however after the technician arrived I realized that the opener was under home warranty insurance. Therefore the technician reviewed the condition of the door and its parts. The door and parts, which are about 15 years old, needed attention and parts replaced. What I thought was just a repair or replacement of the opener, turned out to be much more. I thought that he probably sold me more than I really needed at that time, and therefore the price of $600 seemed high. As a follow up to the service I called A-Authentic and spoke to the owner Darrell Peruch. He wanted to do all that he could do to make me a satisfied customer, so he came to the house and explained everything. He went out of his way to help me better understand what was done and why, and also why they use top of the line parts. I was very pleased with Darrell's efforts and his cooperation to resolve my concerns, and as a result made an adjustment in the overall price. I will consider using A-Authentic the next time I need to have my garage door repaired or opener replaced.

Scott said door was installed very professionally in 1994 - unusual to see that. Even with $69.00 credit coupon total job was for $370.00. I thought a little pricy but service was excellent.

It took 3 days to get the right parts.

I liked the fact that they came out within a half an hour after I called them. It was an emergency situation. They suggested that I got a new door. He went back and picked up the door. He brought it back and installed it. He was very thorough with explaining the differences in the doors. Within a few hours, we had a new garage door. He replaced the rails, springs and everything.
