 + -1 moreMike was punctual & professional. We had recently had 2 exterior doors replaced & we needed them rekeyed to match each other. We also needed the hardware on our garage entry door replaced with Schlage hardware so it could be keyed to match the other doors. Mike did all that and made us some extra copies of keys as well. He also adjusted the deadbolt lock on the hardware he didn't even install. He was neat, thorough & very focused on providing excellent customer service. The price listed above includes about $120 for the cost of the hardware, so I think the total price was very fair.
Description of Work: Replaced hardware (entry lever & deadbolt) on one door & rekeyed 2 doors to match main entry.

 + -1 moreUpon contacting ACME I requested an estimate on three new door knobs and dead bolt locks. After some discussion I was advised that it was possible to repair and rekey my doors without the purchase cost of NEW hardware. I not only appreciate the honesty, but I was very satisfied with the work completed by the repairman. I will use ACME on my other rental property in the future. Excellent work !!

 + -1 moreMike came to our rescue at 8 o'clock at night after my mom was previously taken advantage of by a scam locksmith company she found in the yellowpages. Mike was not only professional, but took the time to walk us through what the prior person had done, calmed our nerves about being taken advantage of, was very efficient at rekeying the house, was very patient and had a great personality, and just very much a person you would welcome into your house for this type of service. Showed up in an ACME vehicle with ACME logo on his shirt so we knew it was the correct company. Never again will I use any other company--it will always be ACME! Great experience!
Description of Work: After hours - Rekeyed 9 or 10 locks and installed a new deadbolt setup.

 + 0 moreIt went well, and the locksmith, Bobby, was nice enough to explain what he was doing as he went through the process of fixing the door.
Description of Work: Front door was binding so that the little t***, which is on a spring, was not coming out to hold the door closed. The locksmith found that the original work to put the lock in involved a misalignment of the holes, creating the binding as the mechanism shifted during use over time. He has to shape the holes a bit so the door parts could align, which fixed the problem and by the way, the name of the locksmith was Bobby, great guy! He also gave me a heads up that it would cost extra to do some shaping on the door holes and the price was withing the range he noted when all was said and done.

 + -1 moreIt wasn't that far away and they were able to make a key with the computer chip in it without having to go to the dealership. The cost was significantly reduced in comparison to what the dealership was going to charge us. I didn't do it, but my husband was there when they did the work. The overall experience was excellent. Their price was excellent. My husband went to the shop and they had to make it there.

He performed the installation, explaining every step he performed along the way. In addition, during the course of the installation, he noticed a door not hung correctly. He fixed the door at no additional charge. I was very happy with the service that I received and would have no qualms recommending ACME to others.

Description of Work: I called concerning difficulties with my house door locks. They are old and seemed loose and not responding to the key. ACME came out at the agreed time; the technician, Big Mike, was friendly and professional. He tried the keys, lubricated the front door lock, and said that despite its age it was still a good lock and functioning well. He made two new keys, and in general advised me that I didn't need to replace my locks at this point. He also gave me information about replacing them should I want to do so in the future. The service called was about 60 dollars and the twenty for labor.

 + -1 moreMore than one lock in our house was malfunctioning and making it difficult to enter and leave the house. They were so bad I thought we would have to replace the locks entirely. We thought each problem lock had a different problem. We called Acme and they sent someone over that same day but did not charge us emergency rates.They performed the work described with a friendly, professional manner and took care of the problem in a short amount of time, saving us money, and telling us what to use to keep the locks in working order.
Description of Work: Acme aligned the tumblers in two locks in the house, and applied a chemical that maintains the locks and keeps them functioning properly.

Description of Work: Have used acme Matt several times. He's professional. locked my self out of the house had another locksmith come out and he couldn't get me in. Called a 2nd locksmith the same night. He was sarcastic over charged me and pulled the lock out of the door chipping the glass and leaving a mess. PLus no way to lock the door over night. Called Matt. Came out. Replaced the lock cleaned up the mess. Fantastic as usual. Price is fair. Only locksmith I will use. After dealing with 2 other companies realize how awesome acme Matt is. The other two were from the telephone book. Beware. Did I mention he will tell you how secure your locks are? Suggest to rekey all locks to one key or code? He's trustworthy and friendly knows his business. Call Acme. I don't recall the cost. Had a coupon one time the other times it was very fair.

 + -1 moreI called ACME Locksmith and was told that someone would show up in about 1 hour to help me get into my house, since I had accidently locked myself out. Matt promptly showed up no longer than 30 minutes later. He got my door open within 10 minutes, the hardware on my doors is really good. He had to deal with my 5 dogs barking at him through the other side the entire time he was doing his job. After he was done he made sure I got into my house and then he pulled away. I would say that is a class act! I would highly recommend this company to anyone and I know I will be using them should I ever need them again.

 + -1 morePurchased the big deal offered for a replacement key w/electronic chip to be made for my car. AFTER I purchased the deal, they changed their hours to not be open on Saturday anymore, making it impossible for me to get this done. I would have had to taken 2 hours off of work to go during the week which would have cost me another $50. I thought it was in bad form to offer a big deal, and then after you have all these people purchase it, to close your office on Sat to only be open during business hours, making it more difficult for people to use it. I checked their days/hours before purchasing it, and only purchased because they were open on Saturdays.
