This is the second time I've used Manny. He's always been professional and responsive. He even called me today to follow up and see how my AC's were doing. Above all, I feel I can trust his judgment and that he won't try to sell me new equipment unnecessarily. Since my ACs were over 10 years old, I inquired about getting a new AC vs. just replacing the motor. After running the numbers his advice was that it wasn't worth it to get a new unit...just replace the parts and it'd be cheaper for me.

Update: After I spoke with the boss of the company, he refused to fix the problem or give me my money back. He claimed that it was a different problem and that I needed a new motor for that particular unit that was broken. He would not offer me any discount and I still have to get the problem fixed.
"Here at Manny's Heating & Cooling we strive to take care of our customers especially our Angie's List customers. I am sad to have one of our customers disappointed with our company. The job that we performed was at a transmission shop that had sat vacant for 3 years. At the time of service we repaired everything that we found wrong. That consisted of the pumps, floats, pads, belts. The motor looked good at time of evaluation. We did not touch the motor so we feel that we should not have to warranty it, And as far as not putting it down on the estimate the motor by what we could see looked good. "THE MEMBER'S UNIT WAS VERY OLD AND THE PARTS CO. GAVE US WHAT THEY FELT WAS THE BEST MATCHED MOTOR & BLOWER CAGE FOR THAT PARTICULAR UNIT. HIS UNIT WAS SO OLD THAT THE BLOWER WHEEL WOULD NOT COME OFF SO WE COULD NOT TAKE IT TO THE PARTS STORE TO PHYSICALLY MATCH IT UP. AFTER INSTALLING THE NEW BLOWER WHEEL THE MEMBER FELT THAT IT DID NOT COOL TO HIS LIKING SO WE IMMEDIATELY WENT BACK TO HIS HOME AND LOOKED INTO SEVERAL WHOLESALE STORES TO FIND A BETTER MATCHED BLOWER AND CAGE. THE WHEEL WAS A SLIGHT BIT BIGGER, BUT IT DID WORK. WE DO APPOLIGIZE ABOUT OUR REP LEAVING PARTS AT THE HOME, BUT WE WERE NOT NOTIFIED UNITL NOW ABOUT THAT, AND THE REP DID GET REPREMENDED FOR NOT PICKING UP AFTER HIMSELF. THAT HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE AND WE DO NOT TAKE THAT LIGHTLY. I'M SORRY THE MEMBER FEELS THE WAY HE DOES, BUT WITH SUCH AN OLD UNIT THERE IS ONLY SO MUCH THAT CAN BE DONE TO GET THE UNIT TO COOL EFFICIENTLY, WITHOUT REPLACING IT. WE ALSO DO GIVE A TWO HOUR TIME FRAME IN WHICH WE WILL SHOW UP, AND ALTHOUGH WE MAY HAVE CAME CLOSER TO 3PM WE DID STILL SHOW UP WITHIN THE TIME FRAME PROMISED."
