**** HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE!!!**** I highly suggest you NOT use this company! In my opinion, their only goal was taking me for as much money as they possibly could. I was having thermostat issues and called the office the day after Christmas and told them that I believe my thermostat was faulty because my heat keep turning on and off repeatedly. They sent their tech Cory out the next day who looked at my thermostat and told me it was a "loose wire" and proceeded to charge me $120. ($80 for their "diagnostic" test and $40 for labor.) The technician then proceeded to tell me that besides the loose wire, I also needed new batteries in my thermostat and proceeded to try and charge me $10 for 2 AA batteries he installed. I told him that my batteries were just changed a couple weeks ago and I had an icon on the thermostat that blinks when the batteries are low and needed to be changed and therefore I didn't need his (insanely expensive) batteries. I then asked him if "loose wire" wasn't the problem if I would be charged for them to come back. He stated "no". The next day I was back on the phone with their office explaining that the issue was not fixed because my heat was still turning on and off repeatedly and once again told them, I believe it is a thermostat issue. They again sent their tech out, he then determined that yes, it was indeed a thermostat issue (tah-dah!) and then proceeded to charge me $135 for the thermostat and then another $80 for an hours worth of labor even though it only took him 15 minutes to change out the thermostat. I was totally fine with paying for the thermostat but I reminded him that I was told by him just two days earlier that I would not be charged for the labor of him coming back out. He said he had just called his boss prior to installing the thermostat and they told him he was not to honor what he told me and to charge me anyway. (***????) Now, I don't know of any reputable company that would charge their customers a total of $335 for a thermostat but these guys had absolutely no problem doing it. As a matter of fact I think that's what they intended to do all along... I believe they deliberately misdiagnosed the problem so they can come back out and charge you for a second trip and a second labor and "repair" fee. Because had the tech truly performed a "diagnostic test" on the first visit he would have determined that the thermostat was the issue and replace it the first time so he wouldn't have to come back out a second time. Any reputable AC company should know when there's a thermostat that needs replacing. It's not rocket science... So I proceeded to email the owner of the company Gary, and explain to him the situation. I told him that I didn't feel it was fair to be charged $120 for the first visit because a so called "loose wire" was not the problem and had his technician actually done a diagnostic tests he would have determined what the real problem was. Gary of course sidestepped the issue and refused to refund me my money for the first visit even though his technician had stated that I would NOT be charged for it if it had turned out to be a thermostat issue. I believe this company does nothing but scam people. I truly believe they knew what the issue was the first time they came and didn't fix it on purpose so that I would have them come back out a second time and they could charge me a second time. Gary told me that they work in good faith. I told him that if they were truly concerned about keeping their customers they wouldn't try and price gouge them with $10 AA batteries and then double charge them astronomical prices for issues that their technician should have fixed in the first place. I would highly, highly suggest you stay FAR away from this company. Don't give them your business because they don't care about keeping their customers, all they care about is making money at any cost. I am the process of filing a BBB complaint. Shame on you Gary, Lisa and Extreme Cooling!!! Anyone who tries to deliberately screw their customers out of money should not be in business. You will never get another dollar from me!!!!

Some background into this matter: Lisa Sanda is a disgruntled former employee who was fired from her second job at Sundancer Stables on October 31, 2013 for various reasons including dishonesty. Her primary job was always at Extreme Cooling Inc. which she has co-owned and managed since August 2009 if her LinkedIn profile is to be believed. Lisa Sanda settled a collosal debt for $2581.00 (and was actually forgiven the remaining balance of more than $4000.00) that she owed to Sundancer Stables at the time of her termination. She then used her business - Extreme Cooling to sue Sundancer Stables for $120.00. There was also a debt of $700.00 that Lisa Sanda lied about paying, that she subsequently failed to pay to Cooper Quarter Horses for the counter to counter shipment of stallion semen she ordered and received from them to breed to one of brood mares. Sundancer Stables also paid this debt for her prior to being sued. Extreme Cooling's invoice was dated 9/5/2013 but only a very badly photocopied versions of this invoice were ever sent to "Sundancer Properties" then later in Court documents to me. Lisa Sanda apparently failed to create or to pay this invoice in the 7 weeks after the date on the invoice (9/5/2013) and prior to her termination (10/31/2013). Gary Sanda's unauthorized visit to the house was not known about at Sundancer Stables until December 2013, although Lisa Sanda sent an email in November stating that there was an invoice outstanding that would be mailed - however this invoice was not received until December 2013 - 3 months after the supposed date on the invoice. Immediately after Lisa Sanda's dismissal from Sundancer Stables, she fraudulently filed a claim for unemployment benefits through the AZ DES on November 1, 2013, while she was employed by Extreme Cooling Inc. This claim went to the DES Appeals Court in Tucson where Lisa Sanda perjured herself repeatedly under oath in January 2014. The DES Appeal Board found her dismissal was justified as she was found guilty of "willful or negligent misconduct connected with the employment", "insubordination, disobedience, repeated and inappropriate use of abusive language, assault on another employee or repeated fighting". Lisa Sanda appealed the decision and provided yet more false information to the DES. The DES Appeal Board then upheld their prior decision but modified it to also include finding her guilty of "dishonesty and material falsification of employment applications or other written documents". Sundancer Stables truly believes that this Maricopa Court Case for this trumped up Extreme Cooling Inc. invoice was a malicious prosecution filed by Extreme Cooling Inc. in January in retaliation after the original DES Appeals Board judgment against Lisa Sanda was sent out.
Description of Work: Lisa Sanda of Extreme Cooling Inc apparently lied to gain access to the house when I was out of town in Fort Worth, TX by telling the then caretaker of the house that there would be no charge for a visit that I had absolutely no knowledge of. Extreme Cooling Inc then failed to inform me of their visit and without any work being requested or authorized they waited 3 months to send an Extreme Cooling Inc invoice made out to "Sundancer Properties" (which doesn't exist). Gary Sanda apparently arrived and took an air filter outside and hosed it off after which he actually left the property., He was at the house for no more than 7 minutes according to Sean the witness, and when Gary Sanda left the property, the filter was still outside thawing and drying out. Sean, himself replaced the filter 2 hours later as he had been instructed. On their invoice, Extreme Cooling charged for a service call of $80.00 that was never requested, and for "re-installing the filter and testing for proper cooling" which was found to be "OK". This work was not performed and Extreme Cooling appears to have charged for ".5 hours" or $40.00 in labor as well as $80 for the non-existent call out. After sending Extreme Cooling a certified letter with return receipt requesting signed authorization for the work outlined in the invoice they returned the certified letter unopened. Extreme Cooling then filed a Maricopa County Court Summons against "Sundancer Stables" (which was not mentioned anywhere on the original invoice photocopies) for $120.00 in Jan 2014, however they conveniently forgot to send a copy of this summons to Sundancer Stables, which never did receive the summons from the Court. Extremely unreadable versions of the summons was sent to the property owner and the Statutory Agent for Sundancer Stables. We had to go to the Court to get all information we needed to respond to during the case. The Court hearing was in March 2014 and during the hearing Lisa Sanda perjured herself repeatedly in order to try discredit Sean the caretaker witness in Court. Extreme Cooling Inc won their case through perjury and lies and was awarded a total judgment of $120.00 with no other fees allowed. Extreme Cooling Inc then filed an Order of Garnishment against Sundancer Stables in May 2014, (which they completely forgot to send to Sundancer Stables) and they got a court ordered garnishment for more than $372, (which was more than 3 times the original award they lied in Court to get). Thankfully Extreme Cooling Inc only managed to use the Courts to rip Sundancer Stables off for several hundred dollars - it could have been for thousands of dollars so I feel lucky, while others may not be/may not have been quite so lucky. However this experience does give me a invaluable opportunity to review their so-called "services". Beware of this nightmare company and its policies of charging for work not requested, authorized or performed; returning Certified letters unopened. Extreme Cooling Inc. also has policies of sending out official court documents photocopied so that they are completely unreadable. Extreme Cooling Inc. staff also repeatedly perjure themselves under oath in Court to discredit witnesses, while providing no concrete proof of anything.

We have our AC under home insurance, and called Old Republic for a list of companies that could help us get our AC fixed. I'm 9 months pregnant and our house was 95 degrees for a few days. The husband was out of town and I didn't want to call them in case it was user error. My husband called Lisa, but she said they were booked solid and working overtime through the weekend and even on Monday...it was Friday. She said she would try her best, but everybody had AC issues this week! Lisa was awesome- she put us on the schedule and said she would do everything she possibly could to get someone here. When I followed up with her later Friday afternoon, she said, "we won't go home until we get to you". As I sat in the house sweating I hoped she meant it! She called a bit later to let me know that Patrick was on his way. He came and within 30 minutes had figured out the problem and the AC vents that had been blowing in hot air all week started to blow in cold air. WOOHOOO. Super nice and explained what the problem was. Needless to say, baby and I thank him and LIsa for making us a priority. I don't think I could've lasted the weekend without AC!
Description of Work: Checked out the AC units to determine why they were blowing warm air and not cold air-- had to look at thermostat and large outdoor ac unit
