Parker Auto Transport LLC

We were told Parker Auto Transport would actually do the transporting. However, when it was time for the actual transportation, we were told all of their drivers were booked, so they contracted our job out to a company they had used before (Ray's Auto Transport). That's when the nightmare began. One driver picked up the car in B'Ham initially asking to pick up the keys at 9:00 PM 6/27, and then sending someone else to get the car 6/28. When we told him that was unacceptable he agreed to pick up both on 6/27. We emphasized from the beginning (with Parker and Ray's) that it was imperative that the car be delivered in Ann Arbor by 6/30 as my daughter had to be at work on the morning of 7/1. The pick-up driver called the delivery driver, and confirmed he would be able to deliver the car on 6/30, and even agreed to write that on the contract which we signed at pick-up. Needless to say, by daughter didn't get her car on 6/30. She received it at 11:00 PM on 7/1 after making several calls to Parker and Rays--with several calls to Ray's not returned . The staff at Parker was empathetic, but we were still at the mercy of Ray's. They were rude, unprofessional, and unapologetically late. When the car was delivered, the driver presented us with a new contract--not the one initially signed by us and the pick-up driver with the 6/30 delivery date indicated. The pick-up driver had told us that we would get the original contract back at the time of delivery to sign and confirm delivery. The delivery driver then stated that he guessed the other driver "forgot" to give it to him, but he would mail it to my daughter. I do not believe that will happen! If it does, I will update my review. The moral of this story: If you hear that Ray's Auto is the company to transport your car--RUN!!!!!! Let me say it again--RUN!!! RUN QUICKLY!!!!

You have to give a 3 day window (mine was Tues, Wed, Thurs). My pickup was supposed to be Tue... no show. They did come on Wed. Car was delivered in a timely manner and all was okay. It was summer... lots of moves take place... I guess these things happen. All in all... it was fine and I would use them again.

I went with MJ Parker based on their reviews on Angie's list. The process to get a quote was via their website and their response via e-mail was prompt. I tried calling them twice but got their voicemail, which was not a big deal because they did respond via e-mail within a few minutes. I had to ping them 2-3 times before they found a driver to pick up my car - so they don't owner the trucks, they hire drivers to pick up the cars just like most of the other companies. The company that picked up my car was Ground Force 1 (GF1). GF1 picked up my car a day (and a half) late - they were supposed to come on Wednesday evening but eventually came on Friday afternoon! I had to call them 2-3 times to find out when they would pick up the car. The GF1 driver who came to pick up my car was not too flexible with the pickup time in spite of being a day and a half late, and seemed to be a hurry to move on to the next pickup. I received the car in 3 days which is really fast! The driver again was not flexible with dropping off the car at my apartment, and asked me to meet him two miles away where he was meeting another customer! The car was in good shape and no damage was done.

All went very well. Nicholas Auto Transport's driver, Gil, was very pleasant, very professional, very helpful. Picked up car on designated day. Delivery was extended one day due to ramp problem, however it was no problem to us. This was our first experience moving a vehicle by auto transport. Both Parker office personnel and Nicholas' driver Gil were very helpful.

I had no idea what I was looking for, but felt that Angie's list would help me. I put in what I was looking to do after I signed up for Angie's list. Within a few days, the team had provided me with approximately 5 or 6 companies that did auto transport. I look at the ones that were on Angie's list the longest and had the most comments. I attempted to get quotes from three of them, but Parker was the only one that provided me with immediate feedback via email with an estimate. I then called them and they gave me the particulars of how it worked. After explaining where I was in Texas, the dispatchers mentioned that I would likely need to meet the drivers (transporter) in Abilene, TX, which is about an hour and half away from where I live. I was okay with that as my goals was to simply have my car transported and as I have had my car transported overseas before, the process was typically to find the nearest port for shipment, which sometimes was 3 or more hours away. My goal was to ship my car by 24 June. I received the estimate and talked to the folks by early June. I had to pay the dispatchers once I confirmed I wanted to have the transport done, which was about middle June. The cost was $129. The remaining cost ($650) was to be paid to the driver upon delivery of the car. By about 20 June, I called to the dispatchers to see how everything was going and they mentioned that they had not hired a driver for the transport yet, however, on 21 June about 8:30 pm, I received a called from the transport company that said he was hired to transport my car. He mentioned that he was leaving El Paso and that he could meet me in Abilene the next day, 22 June. I was at the movies and missed his call. However, leaving the theater later that night, I called him back and mentioned that he could meet me in Abilene at a time of my choosing. As he told me that he would be in the area early in the morning, I said 5 am would be good for me. My wife, suggested we meet them at 11 am to give us time to get some sleep and drive to Abilene. I call the transport company back with the new schedule and he told me that he would meet me in San Angelo, TX. At about 4:30 am, he called me and said he was in San Angelo, TX. This was great for me as I didn't have to drive to Abilene, TX and could quickly take him my car and my wife followed me about 10 minutes from my house. I paid him the $650 at the location before delivery because a friend of mine was going to meet him at the other end to receive my car. It all worked out beautifully. I will definitely use Parker again as I'm slated to move again in a few years. My car was picked up on June 22 in the morning and delivered on June 23 in the evening.

This was my first experience in auto transport and it was very favorable. From booking to pick-up to delivery, everything was very satisfactory. No damage to my car and delivery was sooner than the scheduled date, this made me very happy. I would recommend this company to family and friends. I would say the experience was great.

Parker Trucking was professional in their communication us. They also paid 1/2 of the increased cost to get the car shipped on time. If you have transported a car before, you know that the price quoted to transport is not the final price until the car is picked up by a trucker. Parker Transport did not provide a low ball bid. We knew when we accepted the bid that there was the possibility we would have to pay more to get the car shipped on a deadline. We were pleased with the service.

This experience could not have gone better. Auto was picked up on date requested and delivered exactly when requested. Transport truck was actually able to delivery 2 days early but I wasn't able to take early delivery. I am thankful for the Angie's list recommendation. When I went on-line to look at transport company reviews on my own, I was horrified by the experiences many people wrote about. Those stories detailed experiences in which more money than expected was demanded by drivers at the time of delivery, deliveries were 30 days or more late or once deposits were made they were not able to make contact with the company reps. My understanding is that Parker Transport is a family business. They deal with trucking companies that they have long term positive experiences with. They were extremely pleasant to deal with and were easy to communicate with.

The transport service went okay. Their communication was lousy. They did the service but they were difficult to communicate with.

The experience went very well. They picked it up when they promised and they delivered it a little earlier than they promised. There was not damaged to the car. The only thing...and this is petty..but the driver, who is the one that contacts you and tells you where to meet him on both end...you could not understand this man. You will feel like an idiot saying "Could you repeat that again." I have to ask him five times to repeat something. That was kind of a problem because we could hardly figure out where he wanted us to meet him. On the other end, my daughter, when he called her two times, she thought it was a prank call because she couldn't understand him. This is a petty complain but it makes the transition a little awkward. But everything was done as promised. They said they will deliver Tuesday night but they delivered it Tuesday afternoon with no damage to the car. My husband investigated multiple carriers and he would check with the Business Bureau and Angie's List. Most of the complains about these people is that they don't show up on time and they don't deliver on time. So we picked the one that has the best review and they did in fact performed as promised.

They were very good. They were really professional and followed through really well. They called the night before to make sure that everything is on the go. They were punctual, clean, and neat.

The experience was good. They were a little bit disorganized; but in the end, it worked out. The individual who came out from a company that they outsourced was excellent. I liked that the company kept their word. I liked the guy who picked up the car. I would rather hire the trucking company. They didn't say that they were outsourcing it. They didn't tell at first that the date I scheduled it for, there was a cushion of 5-7 days. They led me to believe that no one is coming the day after the Memorial Day. I was out on the Newport Beach on the day before Memorial Day and they told me that the truck was going to be here in 20 minutes to pick up the car. They were desperate to find somebody that was going to Minnesota, the outsourced trucking. They didn't give me any warning. I can't compare with anybody else. The trucking company was superb.

It went great! They picked my car up two days before I left. They never complained about or charged me more for all of my personal items I packed into the car. The car arrived before me and was held in a lot. When I got into town, they delivered the car to my house. It worked out perfect. I shopped around and they gave me a fair competitive quote. No complaints. I'd use them again.

It went as well as it could. I had never shipped a car before. The person on the initial call was very helpful in explaining things at a level that I could understand. The customer experience was exactly how it was described. The driver showed up, carefully loaded the vehicle and it arrived where and when expected. Driver was courteous and knew the route well. I have recommended this service to a number of my friends.

They were prompt and provided contracted service. My understanding in the car shipping business is that the companies listed coordinate shipping your vehicle with drivers who are going along the route where your car would be dropped off. The original contracted driver was sick and unable to pick up the car. They were able to get another driver, for a slightly higher fee, to deliver the car on the desired date. The driver arrived on time and the car was delivered with no damage. Overall they provided the expected service and did a good job getting a replacement driver when a problem arouse.

It was a surprise when he called and said he coulldn't pick up from the house and that we would have to meet him about 10 miles away. The reason was that his truck was too heavy and long to fit in our neighborhood. It would have been nice to have known that before signing the contract. However, overall the service was great and I would use them again.

They picked up on time and everything got here great. They loaded really carefully.

Told me they couldn't help me because they were training someone new. I thought that was a poor excuse and was disappointed.

We called on a Friday and they were able to meet us on Monday. They were the most professional people. They are expedient. They are brokers so they reach out to drivers. I was very impressed when I met with the driver that picked up the car. Everything was top notch.

They were fine and pretty straight forward.

My experience with them was good. They were pretty upfront with the cost. Their service was on time and prompt all the way through.

They did a good job. I got my car back the way I gave it to them and I thought the price was fair. I would recommend them to my family and friends. They do good work.
