New dishwasher would not come on. After checking circuit breaker, which was fine, the tech examined the inside of dw and found an electric wire that was not making contact.

Allan discovered the drain hose was pushed too deep into wall drain opening; pulled some of the length out --- now draining properly with no backflow of water into the tub. It appears that solved our problem ---- so no parts or further repair needed. Thank, Allan !

The tech diagnosed to problem and quoted a price of over 325.00 to fix. First, the diagnosis was wrong. I replaced the part myself and it was not the problem. After googling, I was able to determine the problem required a different part which I was able to order for about $8.00. After replacing the part the problem was fixed.

Repair made within 15 minutes during initial visit. Did not have to replace seal; just reattach lower section of seal.

The repairman arrived on time, quickly tested and assessed the issue, and gave me several options for partial replacement to see if that would be sufficient, or complete replacement of all related parts (ice maker, water inlet valve and water line). The difference in cost including labor was minimal, so I opted to replace the entire system, which I thought was I found quite reasonable at $400 including tax. (I'd priced the parts in advance online from the manufacturer, and the part prices were comparable for name-brand parts. I like that the parts and labor were both warrantied for a year. The repair was completed within 2 hours from arrival, and I'm pleased to report that the new ice maker has been performing well with no issues for several weeks now.

When I called to make the appointment they said it'd be 6 days till they could get to me. On the day of the appointment, he called and said his GPS said he was 30-45 minutes away, but didn't show up for 1 hour and 20 minutes. He didn't have the login for his iPad-like tablet and had to call someone. Then he clicked around on his iPad and told me I needed a new burner and the total would be almost $400 and he could come back in 8 days to work on it. He never even opened the appliance to diagnose it. That weekend I decided to open it up and see if I could figure it out. It turned out it needed a new moisture sensor, so I ordered it, installed it and everything is fine. If I'd waiting for them to come back, it would have been 14 days since I made the first appointment, and he would have put in a part that wasn't broken. When I called to cancel the second appointment, I told them the whole story and they still charged me the service fee for him to be 40 minutes late, not have a login for his iPad, not open up the dryer and diagnose it, and tell me I had to wait 8 days for him to come back with a part that didn't need replacing.

This is by far the worst service company I have ever dealt with. My washer went out late in the evening on 9/25 and we called first thing on 9/26 to get an appointment for service. No one would even schedule an appointment until the next day. On 9/27 when we were FINALLY able to get an appointment scheduled they said it would be 10/7 before anyone could come out to look at it but they would order parts based on what we could tell them was wrong with it, which was a seal for the door (front loader) and a spring. I asked them to please send someone out to diagnose what was wrong with it so if any additional parts were needed they could also order those instead of waiting until 10/7 to come out and say they needed more parts which would cause us to have to wait even longer. They refused. No one would come until 10/7. When they ordered the spring on 9/27 they found out it was on backorder with no ETA. No one was notified until 10/4 when they called to say they were no longer coming on 10/7 because they couldn’t get the part. We asked them to please still come on 10/7 so they could open the machine up and see if there was anything else that was needed, they finally agreed. We told them we were afraid it needed more than just a seal and a spring because when it messed up it sounded like a loud bang, we thought something had fallen off the wall, and then it started dancing around so that’s how we were able to figure out it was the washer that had made the loud noise. Because of the loud banging noise, we felt like there may be more damage inside that you couldn’t see until it was opened up. So then on 10/7 after waiting 13 days for an appointment they no showed at our appointment, they called during our appointment time to say none of their employees had shown up for work that day so we were just out of luck. At that point I contacted my extended warranty company who had sent a-tech out in the first place and they assisted me in getting the back ordered part overnighted directly to a-tech from a different vendor that had it in stock. A-tech had not contacted them in a week to let them know the situation or ask for help in getting the part elsewhere. If not for me calling and spending hours on the phone doing their legwork, I would still be sitting here waiting for this part. So the a-tech guy showed up with the spring and the seal today and shockingly, they need more parts. The guy said they would have to come back and fix it. It would take 48 hours to get parts ordered then we would have to wait for them to come in and they would call me when they could come back out and fix it. He said he had no idea when it would be. So I called the extended warranty company again, asking if we can just do a buyout because there’s no end in sight to getting ours fixed. Upon speaking with my claims adjuster she informed me that the service tech at a-tech had told them it looked like we took our machine apart and messed with it which is absolutely not true. We have no reason to do anything like that because it’s under warranty and messing with it could void that warranty. I waited a total of 15 days for them to come out and look at my machine and trusted them to come into my home and they flat out LIED and said we intentionally did something to mess it up or at the very least that we took it apart after it broke and messed it up worse. It makes no sense knowing that if I mess it up it would void my warranty. Additionally, the service tech told my warranty company that parts were missing, one of which was the spring that broke, it was laying in the bottom of the machine broken so that’s how we knew it needed to be replaced. The guy never asked me if I had it or anything, he just told them it was missing. Like I could take off a huge, thick gauge steel spring and break it myself. It was on the shelf above his head the entire time he was here! Why would I spend hours on the phone trying to get some help and wait weeks and then put myself in a situation where my warranty wouldn’t be honored? Undoubtedly the same guy who lied and said we took it apart and messed it up is one of the same guys who couldn’t show up for work on Monday so clearly he lacks competence and reliability. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to deduce when it made the loud banging noise and then started shaking violently the parts inside got damaged. The manager Is terrible and they ALL need some retraining. No one will take responsibility for anything. It’s one excuse after another with these people. I don’t know what kind of stunt they think they are pulling but my warranty company, safeware told me prior to today that a-tech has dropped the ball on this one with their no show to my appointment, failure to communicate that a part they needed was on backorder with no ETA, and refusal to even come out and diagnose the problem with my machine for such an extended period of time. Even after lying and telling safeware that I took my machine apart and messed it up or messed it up further than it already was, the claims adjuster at safeware agrees with me that their implication that I damaged my machine is completely insane, given that doing so would void my warranty, which I’ve been fighting for over 2 weeks now to have honored. It makes no sense. So, I tore my machine up just so I could go to the laundry mat for 2 weeks, spend hours on the phone trying to get it repaired in a timely manner, void my warranty, have something to complain about, and give myself a headache over all of this? Do they think I’m that stupid? Well they must, because that’s how I was treated. The audacity of this company trying to get my warranty voided by lying and saying I damaged my own machine is literally so outlandish that even the warranty company isn’t buying it.

"We don't want to get into any further debate with you regarding this work order but feel that it is necessary to at least respond to your review for the sake of future customers researching our service. The timeline presented here is not accurate. It was clear to us from the beginning that you were going to be unhappy under any circumstances. Your husband called and cursed at two of our CSRs before we even had the chance to service the appliance. Our staff does not deserve to be treated with such pointed disrespect."

He was accurate in his diagnosis which was a failed compressor. The refrigerator was only 2 years old. To buy and replace the compressor would coast around $900-$1000. Could not see repairing this refrigerator with this like compressor which is called a linear compressor. They are made by LG and they have a known history of being junk. Many many customers have encountered the same problem. Chose to replace the refrigerator with a new one that did not use the Linear Compressors.

Dryer frame was broken in move and was unrepairable, and he said so. He checked the washer and said it was fine. He didn't try to sell anything he couldn't actually accomplish. We appreciated that! He only charged for the service call. Will use him again if needed.

Ronnie was great. He's seen this before. The guts of the thing are behind a techie door in the back of the main cabinet. It was all frozen up, with water accumulating under the vegetable bins and forming a sheet of ice there. He replaced the door with a new one after steaming the innerds clean. He also replaced the seal on the freezer drawer to prevent excessive frost buildup. Both repairs seem to have worked. It was expensive, but if we get a couple of years more out of this unit it will have been worth it. I'm not a cost/benefits guy but it seems to be taking. Buying a new one was going to be probably $2K.

Ended up that the cost to repair the washer was not cost effective and would cost more then the value of the washer. My service tech was prompt and professional the entire short time he was here. It took approx 10 minutes to tell me the bad news, He did not work other then taking a picture of the machine's serial number and model number and did some things on his IPAD and told me what the repair would cost. Nothing else was done. and I was charged $87.58. Which is totally ridiculous as there was no physical labor involved and nothing was done to the machine. I will NOT RECOMMEND this COMPANY and I will certainly be notifying friends and family as well.

"I am so sorry you have had a bad experience. Was your washer misdiagnosed? If it was then please contact us so we can get it re-diagnosed. We don't always have to tear a machine completely apart to find out what is wrong. Your washer has bad tub bearings, and we don't have to take anything apart to know that once we get to the appliance. I am sorry we had to give you bad news on your washer, but is that really a reason to give us a bad review? Every single person that contacts our service department to schedule a service call is told we have a $79.95 + tax to come out and diagnose an appliance, if you are upset about paying that then I'm not sure why you had us come out."
