CHIMNEY DOCTOR

Provider came within one day of calling and cost was pretty much the same as the estimate. He placed a metal, unobtrusive cap on my chimney that is scarcely visible from below. I live in an historic neighborhood, thus it was important that one not notice the cap. He was extremely nice and responsive, and I had anticipated paying much more. I am very, very pleased with his service. I do not have any other chimneys, but should I have one, I would most certainly use the Chimney Doctor's services again. I HIGHLY recommend him!

He came out and fixed our gas fireplace. It needed parts, which he ordered quickly and the price was more than reasonable. Nice guy and fantastic service.

Jeffrey does excellent work - takes the time to inspect carefully and explain needed repairs while giving options for repairs. Took the initiative to inspect all heating systems and venting even though just contacted to inspect chimney. Because of this initiative, found several safety and heating efficiency problems that otherwise would not have been detected. Very professional with highest quality of work while staying within his estimated $$ and on schedule. Jeffrey took the extra time to explain how to best "cure" the new chimney lining, how all the systems were constructed and materials used with warranties, and how to choose a new screen or glass door for fireplace. Can't say enough good things about his work - he's awesome!

The work was done professionally and for a very reasonable price and I'm extremely pleased with the result. I would definitely recommend the Chimney Doctor to others who need work of this nature in central Arkansas.

I had good experience with them. They were one of the only two places I found that had it. It was excellent. They came quickly. I was completely pleased with them. The order got in quickly.

It didn't go at all. He never showed up or called to say why he wasn't going to complete the appointment.

He was very responsive to my call, and did a thorough inspection. He also took the time to tell me all about how to use our stove and chimney. I thought he was wonderful and I will recommend him to everyone I know.

Jeffery showed up on time, made his way to the roof of our two story house to inspect the chimney from outside then cleaned from inside. The previous owners of the house had let a lot of soot build up so there was plenty to remove. Before beginning, Jeffery laid down a mat to catch any debris from getting on the floor and had a filtered shop-vac running to suck up any dust. While working, he shared some good ideas about fireplace inserts which we may decide to install at a later date. He offered to repaint the inside of the firebox which I consider the best $10 on home improvement I think I've spent. Our fireplace went from looking run down to practically brand new. Jeffery was kind enough to drop off another can of the special paint at my office a week or so later when I asked for more. I'll continue to use Chimney Doctor for the ongoing maintenance of our fireplace and will turn to them if we decide to have an artificial fire system installed.

It was absolutely a great experience. Jeff not only swept my chimney, but took pictures to let me see what damage existed on top, repainted the inset stove at no extra charge, and gave me helpful tips on the operation and maintenance of my inset stove.

He came two weeks after contact. Inspected both fireplaces. Cleaned one. Gave estimate on some other repairs needed.

Overall I am very pleased with Mary Poppins Chimney Sweep. In fact after the gentleman left and the replacement cap was ordered, I decided I wanted to update the style of the cap; Anthony was easy to reach by phone and accomplished the task ! This company provided me peace of mind with the Safety Inspection during such a uncertain time. He could have told me several items needed too be repaired, however; he did not. I had a lot of bigger problems to tackle. . . The new cap updated the chimney and looks wonderful. My quote proposal was written on a Mary Poppins Chimney Sweep Co. form. I do not know if the Chimney Doctor is the same company and installer. If so, Anthony was very good.

They arrived when they said they would, completed the inspections and cleanings in a timely manner. Very professional. Provided us with some good info.

Jeff came out and inspected everything--fireplace, flue, insert, logs, even the chimney outside. He also gave us some useful info for future reference if we wanted to update logs or convert to wood burning. Very helpful and knowledgable. Answered every question we had and wasn't trying to rush us or the job. Would definately use him again! Highly recommended!

Awesome job! I was unable to be present for the work so my son observed the service performed. Jeffery explained in detail and on the receipt the service and recommendations for the future. I recently purchased my home and now I have the peace of mind to be able to use and enjoy my fireplace. Professionalism is top notch; on time, on price, honest, and experienced.

He came out on time, thoroughly explore the living room ceiling, the attic and the roof. He said he wasn't able to find the source of the leak in dry weather (fair enough.) He asked if we could call him the next heavy rain. Said he'd come back out and have another look. He charged us for a house call (again fair enough.)

They did a good job and their price was fair.

We had a chimney fire 3 or 4 years ago and we had to call the fire department. It was really scary because there were sparks shooting out of our chimney and coming down on our roof and I was afraid the house was going to catch on fire. Something like that really gets your attention. This is probably overkill, but we use Chimney Doctor every fall before we run the fireplace to come out and make sure that the chimney is absolutely totally clean. He is very thorough and cleans up everything so that when he leaves the house is actually cleaner than it was when he arrived. He cleans the entire chimney from up on the roof. He has an instrument he sends down the chimney that scrubs the soot off the sides and then he has a vacuum and he vacuums it out of the fireplace and takes it all with him. We were so afraid from that fire that we will continue using him every year as long as we are still in the house here. The price is pretty cheap peace of mind if you look at it from our perspective. It was the scariest thing and that was the first time we had ever had to call the fire department for anything. It was kind of embarrassing because we had just let it go maybe one year too long and it came back to bite us, and we will never do that again. It would be good for most people to have their chimneys cleaned more often than they do. I think that's the sort of thing you tend to be a little bit lax on. I think the guy is an off-duty fireman so he really knows what he is doing. The price is very fair for the amount of time he spends. He is here for over an hour plus his travel time. He is always out within a day or two after you call. He always lets you know in advance when he is going to be there so that you don't have to wait around and he is never more than a half an hour off. His professionalism is extremely good. We are going to use him this coming fall. It was from a grim little piece of personal experience that we came by Chimney Doctor.

This guy lives in Cabot. He came on the day he said he would. He got started right away cleaning and inspecting things concerning our fireplace. He cleaned up all the soot any debris that came out. I will feel safe burning wood this winter.

Great! Very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable - took time to explain what was being done and why, without taking a long time to complete the job. Planning to have the chimney "box" on the roof rebuilt to code by them in the immediate future.

The owner and his wife performed the job together. My appointment was at noon and they arrived right on time. They covered the hearth and a good portion of my living room floor to prevent it from getting dirty. They cleaned the chimney and patched the fireplace panels. I have never had a fireplace before and they gave me a rundown on exactly how everything works on my fireplace. He even drew a picture with dimensions of how much wood I will burn before the chimney will need to be cleaned again. They said it might be a year, or maybe once every two or three years. Definitely seemed trustworthy. My fireplace looks brand new. They even cleaned my fireplace tools.

I called Jeffery and he called me back the next day. He and his wife arrived at exactly the time he promised. They put down a tarp inside the house before cleaning the chimney. Jeffery and his wife got on top of the roof, removed the chimney cap and cleaned and inspected the top of the chimney. While the were up there they even raked off the leaves around the chimney. They came inside and cleaned and inspected the chimney and did a very good job. They provided a report after the cleaning of anything discovered during the inspection. Jeffery answered in depth any questions I had and was very knowledgeable. Jeffery and his wife were very thorough and even cleaned up after themselves. I was impressed that they put things back where they found them after they were through. I was also very impressed with them and their work. I will definitely use them again.

He comes when he says he will. He is friendly & thorough, & answers questions. We bought a reflector plate for the back of the firebox for an extra charge & it has been a good investment.
