We had an initial meeting that the estimated $4000.00 effort was based upon. He initially suggested $4200 & was using 2 rolls of wire we already had. We negotiated $4000 cost although I felt this was high, I needed the "availability" to complete the job as planned & used the date he suggested. We shook hands and agreed on the effort with the caveat that I would remove at least one side of all interior walls for access to bring electrical up to code & install 4 can light canisters in the LivRm. This drove our drywall replacement cost up. Drywall & can lights were all completed in 2 days. We agreed he would start work the following week on Thursday. No call. I asked for schedule so I could schedule drywall delivery. I called once - no return. The second call I reached Mr. McCoullough & he stated that he had another job that was urgent and it would require until the end of the week to complete. I felt I had expressed a sense of urgency as well & that I needed a schedule. That time came & went & no call to coordinate any delay. I waited until the following week & finally sent a text & received a call. We then agreed not to do business together although I even told him I would be alright with him completing the work if he would commit to a date to start/complete. This experience could be a rare occasion for this provider, however, I received this lead from an Angies List A+ contributor & I had to find another contractor. It has cost me time/money because of delay & lack of coordination. I wish Mr. McCoullough & his business well. This $4000 job is a large sum for us and we expected to be next in Mr. McCoullough's queue. We also expected follow-up & follow-through and this was not received. If you try this provider, just be aware that you will have to do all the coordination & potentially may be delayed anyway. I since found another electrical option, who provided an estimate of $400 less for the same task & no exterior walls have to be "cut away" or later repaired for him to run wire - - which also saves us time/money. I received a WRITTEN estimate the evening of the on-site evaluation and a date for service to begin. He showed up as planned and the work and permits are all in order. I will be listing his services separately since he is not currently in Angies list. He was also a referral from a reputable builder that we know from another county.
