Over all it went well. They sent out a man to bid the job. aA month later I called to set up the install date and they came out and rebid the job. Price went up about 300 dollars. Reason given was first bidder was under bidding and no longer works for pro fence. The work got started sooner than anticipated, which was a good thing. Was completed in 2 days. Workmanship was good except for one corner, the measurements were off. Except for the few things I mentioned above, it turned out pretty good. I would still recommend them.
Description of Work: They installed about 150 ft of wood privacy fence and 2, four ft gates

This is a remarkable group to work with. Manager Clint and installers were professional and courteous. They showed up when they said and were the hardest workers ever. Other than lunch and water breaks on a very hot day these people never stopped. Their work ethics were amazing. Sturdy, straight and flawless. When the 6 x 6 posts were set I did not like one of them. The next day they dug up the cemented post and replaced it. Clint was great at explaining options to be sure I received what I wanted. Thanks Toni and Gary (WBHP) for introducing me to Stewart at Pro Fence that started me on this wonderful journey. Great company to work with and I will recommend them highly!

I have a difficult time recommending Pro Fence. We hired them in Nov 13 to complete privacy fence. Clint, salesperson/Bus. Mgr, explained what he would do and gave us a price in the low to middle range of estimates we receieved. He emphasized how they only placed rails so that the seams would not align on any one post. He called this a weave pattern and stressed how this construction method eliminates waviness in the fence over time. He was also willing to work with us on scheduling since we had some landscaping work underway. Finally, he worked with us on the price using a pallet of pickets I had on-hand. The problems we experienced occurred when the fence started to buckle (wave) and lean to one side. I called Pro Fence several times to get them out to look at the problem. Once Clint came out and saw the issue, he agreed it was casued by poor workmanship and said they would fix it. On a later visit, he dug around one post and saw that his workers had dry packed the concrete and it never set up to the post allowing the posts to lean and be easily pushed side to side. Additionally, the 10-foot double gate was constructed so one side would not open all the way due to ground clearance rather than cutting the bottom of the pickets so it would open. When the fence started leaning I looked closely at the consturction and discovered that their "weave" pattern for the rails was never accomplished. Every seam fell on every other post, which was not done as Clint had stressed was their construction method. Clint stated they would correct the problem with the posts and gate and told me they would be out in 2 weeks. The two weeks came and went and I had to call to see when they were coming out. I have to say there was some rain during this period that I suspect delayed their scheduling. With that said, I was not contacted about any delays and feel that their warranty work takes a back burner to new work they have scheduled. After a couple of weeks of calls, a worker showed up but only fixed half the problem. Several more calls went unanswered before I got in touch with Clint. In this call I was told they would be out the following week to finish the repair. He also stated they had about 15 posts to fix. I told Clint the worker only placed concrete on one side of the posts and that it needed to be done on both sides since the fence waivered both ways. He agreed and stated he would send someone out that week. A worker showed up and reset only 4 to 5 posts not the 15 requiring repair. Additionally, concrete was only placed on one side of the posts not on both sides as was agreed to correct the issue. After several messages, I finally reached Clint. He said he would set up an appointment with me to look at the competed work. He said he would contact me tomorrow as he wasn't at his office and didn't have his schedule. I never did heared back from Clint. I finally got in touch with Clint after several attempts and was told he had stopped by to look at what was done and he said he would send a crew out within the next two weeks to finish the repair. It has now taken 2 1/2 months to accomplish warranty work for a job resulting from what he said was poor workmanship. Clint did agree to extend the warranty on the contract another year. However, when he emailed the updated warranty he incorrectly used the current month and year for the end date which actually reduced the original one year warranty. He did correct this and sent a new copy to me. In addition to the leaning fence posts and the incorrect installation of the rails, there are many pickets which lean to one side (about 2 inches) so that they are not perpendicular to the ground. I have not made this an issue. Additionally, I guess I will fix the double gate myself since none of the workers that came out corected this problem. Although Clint extended the warranty an extra year to accomodate for any future problems that may develop as a result of the work, it does not accomodate for the slanted pickets, the dififuclties in getting this resolved, or the fact that I will have to correct the gate myself. I have tried to be patient and reasonable through this process. I just want the fence fixed so that I am not having to replace it in a few years due to the issues I have identified. Bottomline: Although they did finally complete the repair, they were slow to respond to calls and did not correct the gate problem which I mentioned to Clint a couple fo times. I would not use them again.
Description of Work: Completed approximately 530 feet of wood privacy fence and removed approximately 230 feet of 4 foot chain link fence.

The company had some initial issues with their sales person not setting things up properly (schedule/materials drop), and he was replaced in the midst of my project. Evidently I was not alone in having some initial issues. The management team then contacted me and made sure the work proceeded without any further drama, which was very much appreciated. The guys showed up and knocked it out within two days, and I was very pleased with the end results. This provider actually sub-contracts the crews, so the work very much depends on how well a third party does their part. To my knowledge no one from the firm oversaw the work or visited the work site, but they picked a good sub-contractor. In my case the results were excellent. Definite value. I would hire this firm again.

They were working in Birmingham and told us they would call before coming out. They showed up Friday morning at 7:30 AM and began removing the old fence. A mix up in their communications meant we were not completely prepared for them to come and I had to return home from work. We made last minute decisions about final location, biting dog next door, and a neighbors fence that he was going to take down, when mine went up. The name on the truck did not match the proposal document. They worked steady and hard. They appeared to be well organized and each knew what to do. They stopped briefly for lunch and a very few water breaks. They completed the job by 6 PM and loaded up. As they were cleaning up, we asked if they would remove the small board tags that were sticking out from under each board. This was not done. I found several chain link fence pieces they missed, some spare nail packs and many of the board tags around the yard. Overall, I think they did a fairly good job, with a good price and completed it in a minimum amount of time.
Description of Work: Removed old 3.5 foot chain link fence down both sides of the side and back yard and replaced it with 6 foot wooden privacy fence. Installed 4 foot wide gate on one side and 8 foot wide double gate on the other. Concreted post in holes and covered concrete with soil. Used 8" x 8" post on corners and 4 x 4's in between. Fencing with 5/8"x6"x6" YellaWood treated boards. Installed 230 feet of fencing. We had spent 4-5 hours clearing the fence row of brush, lined firewood, and growing plants. We had several more small items to do prior to their arrival.

The 45 foot length chain link fence needed replaced after a fallen tree due to a tornado in the area. I called Pro Fence and a man came out that afternoon to give me the estimate for repairs. The estimate matched the insurance company figures. I knew immediately I had a good company. I signed the contract for the $544.00 and he begun work the following morning. Two hours later it was completed and he was on his way and I was a very happy customer.
Description of Work: I had 45 feet of 4-foot chain link replaced in my back yard.
