Called our home warranty program due to a furnace failure. Discount Mechanical responded quickly to diagnose our furnace. Within a week of dealing with our warranty company they came out and installed a new furnace under 6 hours. They offered us a free appraisal,space heater, and apology for the delay with warranty company.

Our water heater totally broke on a Saturday. We called Discount Mechanical Heating because we'd used them in the past for the annual furnace inspection and really liked their speedy reliable service. The plumber/mechanic on duty worked us into a very busy schedule. When he arrived he gave us the bad news that our water heater was totally kaputz (it was very old so it wasn't a surprise). He did what he could, talked to us about what would be the best system to get for our home. Showed us how to turn our house water on/off for temporary water needs as he had to turn the water off for our system. And told us to contact the office first thing Monday morning to get the plumbers/mechanics in to replace the water heater. With his knowledge we decided to go with a "Side-arm" that would work best with our system. On Monday, I called first thing, the owner, Mike, was up to speed on what we needed and got us scheduled. By noon, we had our new system installed! We've been ecstatic with our "Side-arm" decision and the first month our gas bill lowered $80.00. They promised us a lower monthly bill and they were right! We have always been more than happy with Discount Mechanical and will always be the ones we call for help. Their staff is wonderful, knowledgeable and have a great sense of humor.

This was a terrible experience. I contacted the business Monday morning and they were very friendly inititally. Then when I informed the person on the line that I had a "groupon" (online purchase for their service) for a "full furnace tune up" the person demeanor changed. I could instantly tell the attitude of the person on the phone changed, and i was told that "things are really busy and the techs are really booked up right now". I felt as if i was about to be blown off. I asked if I could sched a premise visit anyway...I did pay for the service already online. I was told to hold on and when she returned to the phone she said that she would have to look into it and call me back. I knew at that point i was being blown off. I asked if I would get a call back sometime this week (its monday 9 am). I was told I would be called back that day. I never received a return call. What a horrible experience! STAY AWAY from "Discount Mechanical". If they don't care enough to honor thier online deals, think if you actually had major work done on your furnace and had a problem.
