I had a furnace inspection completed. Stephen found that the igniter was probably in need of replacement. He did not have one on hand but went and got one.He had everything working, checked, and documented in a reasonable time. He also explained everything as he went. Excellent service... It's why I keep using Anchorage Plumbing and Heating for all of my furnace and other plumbing maintenance.

A non-emergency sink repair. Showed up as promised without a lot of rescheduling drama. Very nice start. Nice guy that seemed to care about the outcome. He coordinated with office a few times as needed. Fixed disposal. Reason for leaking discharge line still remains a mystery but we eliminated some potential possibilities. Upside was that they appear really nice and respect the schedules of others. Service was as promised. Didn't seem to be a clock watcher down to minutes and seconds. They have an hour minimum charge (with no travel included, as I recall). Kudos! Slight downside was that the serviceman seemed a little light on tools and equipment. I needed to provide a wrench for the disposal, a bucket and some rags/paper towels. Not a big deal but I just wondered what would have happened if I didn't have those items handy. I would recommend without reservation.

They roughed in a new shower fixture (there had been a different shower fixture there before). The wall was already open. They also put on new a new fixture for the tub. They took all day to do this. They had to go nak and get a proper tool for installing the faucet handles for the tub. The initial time estimate was 2-3 hrs. I was not there to supervise the work. I called to question the amount of time taken. The manager sad these things happen sometimes. I will never use their services again. I had a different plumber come to do the finish work

During a recent cold snap, our garage heater was inoperative. With all of our heat and water heat devices in the garage, I didn't want to take a chance of freezing up. I called all over Anchorage to schedule an appointment and was literally laughed at and told "good luck". Because of the bitter cold, all of the HVAC businesses were booked up for days. But my call to Anchorage Plumbing & Heating was warmly recieved (pun intended), processed and they dispatched a tech to our home in a timely manor. The technician was straightforward, all business, diagnosed the problem right away, replaced the needed parts and had heat back in the garage within 30 minutes! No horsing around or trying to sell me something that I didn't need or want like some others that I have dealt with in the past. I would highly recommend and will do business with them again - Thank You.

The boiler pipes leading through our hot water baseboard heating system had been punctured when we had nailed a baseboard to the wall with a nail gun and nailed them directly through the pipes behind the wall. The plumber replaced the leaking copper pipes with a specialty plastic piping with a longer warranty than copper. He checked the pipes behind every baseboard I had installed to be assured I hadn't hit the pipes and if I did he replaced those pipes even though they hadn't started leaking yet. He bagged all the debris from cutting open the sheetrock. He was pleasant and told me that the bright and shiny side was I did really good work and I'd spaced everything very evenly and accurately and that many contractors or restoration firms do the same thing I did.. It was a bittersweet compliment which made us all laugh. He was thorough and quick. Anchorage Plumbing and Heating has always been quick to respond and have provided reasonable rates. The plumbers who attend to our needs are always very personable and friendly.

All went well. Guy was proficient and timely as well as explaining certain things that I could watch for and information I can use in the future. All services requested were provided and in a timely manner. I've lived in AK for 40 years, still can't get used to the prices or wages that the industries charge. This is not a negative remark on this company, but all repair outfits in general. I am quite satisfied, at this time, with the work as a whole. Thx/herb

Jeremy was professional in his attitude and appearance. He seemed to know what he was doing, he had the part he needed for the bathroom and all work was done within an hour. This company has been doing business in Anchorage for a long time and this is the kind of work and the kind of people I would expect from them.

Service was good but I feel their price was to much.

Everything went well. I was expecting it to take several days but the old system was removed (and hauled away) and the new one installed including new venting in one day. They also covered the new carpet with a tarp so it was kept nice and clean. I have the house for sale and later that day I got a full price offer. I think this new system helped sell it.

After hours emergency call. I had called another services emergency number and got voicemail. Called Anchorage Plumbing and Heating, live person right away. Zero heat in one of my rentals. Called and was told he'd be out in about half hour. Half hour later, Chet arrived. Professional and courteous. Just as important, results. Purged my system, restored heat. Told me what the follow up was. I told him I was in the process of reviewing quotes for replacement. He said don't fix it. Get on the replacement schedule now. An hour later, he was all done. There's only one call I'll make next time. Thanks Chet!

I had accidentally flushed a nail brush down a toilet. I called Anchorage Plumbing and Heating's office about 9:00 a.m. and talked with a very pleasant woman. A young man came out within a half hour to fix it. He had to remove the toilet, but he did so quickly and efficiently and did a great job of minimizing any mess. He was very pleasant and capable, and I thought the cost was a bargain.

The job went very well. The immediate response time and quick resolution to the leaking hot water tank was really what I needed in order to prevent further water damage. Installer was professional, knowledgeable and helpful.

Ran into some problems installing a new washer and dryer; they came out the same day to fix the laundry room water valve and did a great job! Reasonable prices, great customer service and really took the time to explain and answer my questions about future repairs I am considering, including upgrading my water heater. This is how you build loyal customers!

Absolutely outstanding service. I wish all contractors were this professional. Their quote was fair, timely and service was top notch. Once we chose their bid, work started within a week even during the busy season during Alaska winter prep. They arrived within minutes of the time set and they worked two full days. Lead Plummer was very helpful on educating me on the system functions as he built boiler, hot water arm and holding tank. Very customer oriented and very professional... Refreshing. Handled all city permitting and scheduling of inspection. Issues or questions I had we're addressed immediately. Attention to detail is excellent and work area was spotless after completion. If you are investing in an upgrade to high efficiency heat and hot water system these are the guys you want. They Take all the stress out of such a big purchase. You will not be disappointed.

We had 2 properties that needed annual furnace servicing. They called before they arrived and came when they said they would. Seemed to know what they were doing and pointed out what was not up to code and might need fixing.

I asked AP and H to see if they could put in a laundry sink, a dog wash area, and change out our kitchen faucet. Arrived promptly. Carefully evaluated what I wanted done, and determined he could change out faucet that day. Asked good, careful questions about other projects, and assured me he'd get together with manager and submit bid for remainder of projects via email. Impressed by his explanations, professionalism, and apparent knowledge.

I love that this company calls ahead when the workers are 20 minutes away or so. That way you can feel free to run errands and still get back home in time to meet them. I'm not a big fan of the 4 hour window of time some companies give, forcing you to wait around until they show up. They were prompt and professional and got the job done.

He found the leak and recommended the boiler be replaced.

Our crawl space had flooded with all the rain we have been having. They gave us a time and were there when promised. The work couldn't be completed the first day so they came back the next day even though their schedule was so busy. The work cost less than the quote. They were also able to give us an estimate on work we want to get in the future. We will definitely use this company again.

I called and scheduled the heating system winter check and was given an appointment a few weeks out (that was fine with me). A few days later I had a new washing machine delivered and discovered the valves were starting to leak. I called Anchorage Plumbing back to see if I could get an appointment in the next few days, which they were able to schedule. To my delight, when they came for the washer valves they were able to perform the winter check/cleaning on the furnace at the same time. The workers were prompt, professional and knowledgeable. The total price of $209 (including parts) for the furnace work, valve replacements and faucet repair was very reasonable. Another thing I love about this company - is their customer service. When you call you speak with an intelligent, knowledgeable customer service representative. I chose this company because of the excellent reviews they have received on Angie's List. I will continue to use them because of the quality of service, and excellent customer service.

Great job! It's working and we did not have to replace the whole unit.
