About us

Don Petrick began his career in custom high end metal fabrication. During the course of 15 years, he progressed from apprentice fabricator to project manager for a large fabrication facility in the greater east-side area. The type of fabrication being done at this shop incorporated several media: steel, stainless steel, plastics and wood. This is where Don's passion for quality craftsmanship and attention to project detail really took flight. Don decided to change his career path into Finish Carpentry, bringing with him years of experience managing projects and doing custom fabrication of all types. Don quickly excelled at this trade, running crews on all phases of finish carpentry. From this point, the transition to self-employment was a natural progression for Don. Don's approach to your project is what separates him from other general contractors. When you hire Petrick Construction, you get Don on your project. Don is on-site working on all phases of construction, from excavation to handing you the keys. That's not to say he doesn't hire subcontractors, he does. In construction there are specialty licenses and skill sets that go with certain trades and he recognize those trades and strongly values his relationship with a select few subcontractors.
