Description of Work: Only the hose attachment worked on my upright Dyson vacuum, it wasn't picking anything up otherwise. I had tried all the problem solving tips found online and nothing worked. | |At the Vacuum Hut they found a partial branch of a house plant that was stuck inside the vacuum. The branch prevented the switch from changing the suction from the hose to the main vacuum. The vacuum now works like new.

+ -1 moreThe small shop was busy both times I was in, but the atmosphere was great. Everyone who walked in was welcomed, and the two service people were very polite and helpful. This shop was worth a trip across town for me.
Description of Work: The Vac Hut provided several replacement pieces for my Oreck canister vacuum and tuned up and repaired parts on my upright Oreck vacuum.

+ -1 moreI looked them up on Angie's list on Monday, Feb 6. I tried calling the number, it rang, but no one answered. Because the hours were listed as Mon - Fri, we assumed they were busy, and my husband put the broken vacuum cleaner in the car and drove to the Vac Hut. A little while later, he returned home, informing me they were closed on Mondays. He left the vacuum cleaner in the car and returned after work the following day, when the cleaner was repaired quickly and professionally.
Description of Work: He replaced a belt and cleaned our vacuum cleaner.

+ -1 moreOur visit to The Vac Hut was successful, as we found a vacuum cleaner we liked and bought it.
Description of Work: My husband and I weren't sure what kind of new vacuum cleaner to buy, but at The Vac Hut we were shown any model of vacuum we asked for and could take it for a "test drive" on their carpeting. We learned about a vacuum cleaner made in the U.S.A. from the gentleman who waited on us (which we ended up purchasing), and were very happy with the time and information provided. We also like to support local businesses instead of big box stores, and I would stop in again.

Description of Work: I went there to buy parts for a vacuum that has broken several times and is fairly new. I didn't buy this vacuum from Vac Hut, but the owner was very helpful and spent some time telling me what to look out for and what to do if these new parts weren't enough. He has a wide selection of parts and equipment and seems very knowledgeable.

+ -1 moreVERY REASONABLE PRICING. I TOOK A HOOVER IN THAT WASN'T QUITE SUCKING UP DIRT WHEN I USED THE CLEANING WAND. THE COUNTER PERSON WAS ABLE TO TELL ME RIGHT AWAY WHAT WAS WRONG, GAVE ME A PRICE, AND TOLD ME IT WOULD BE NO MORE THAN 10 DAYS. I RECEIVED THE CALL THAT IT WAS FIXED IN 5 DAYS, AND I THINK IT WORKS BETTER THAN WHEN I FIRST GOT IT. THE ESTIMATE WAS LESS THAN ANOTHER PROVIDER I CALLED.
