Excellent experience with Bruce. Most of the contractors looked at the existing patio, (caved in at the foundation) and quoted the exact replacement. Bruce took the opportunity to offer a redesign, with the same sq footage but far more usable, adding pvc for the sump pump underneath, (thus eliminating the hose and cleaning up the look), and pricing at the same as a direct replacement, slightly less than others, and about $1000 more than mud jacking quotes. The result was outstanding and his work crew were very professional. Done in a day.

We told him about the drainage problems that we had around the house. He accommodated it by widening the driveway. Mr. Bruce Dahlgren is a contractor. I cannot say enough good things about him. He was terrific. He was not difficult to reach at all. He did a wonderful job. So far I can?t see any fault in it. When we said to keep certain things in mind while doing the work he certainly did. I will always recommend him.

Everything was great. The price was fair, and the quality of the work was good. We had four other estimates of varying prices, and we ended up going with him. He is a very professional guy and told us exactly what they were going to do. There was not a big mess, even though there was a lot of concrete and I had anticipated a lot of dust. I was at work and he showed up on time. He originally estimated that it would be a two-day job but he got done by the end of the first day and it turned into a one-day job. When I came home from work it really looked dynamite. It still looks dynamite now, almost six months later. It solved our basement water problem, so we were thrilled. I was very happy with him and would use him again.

I spoke to Bruce who said they would be there in late October. A crew arrived on October 28. They set the forms to ensure level and drainage. They filled the sidewalk forms with an approximate 4" base. They created a metal grid for the porch. The Meyer cement truck came. It looks great. If it maintains this look, I would highly recommend.

Bruce did an excellent job at a great price. I had initially planned a new driveway to look pretty much just like my old one, but at the last minute had him make it a little wider. He was able to accomodate the last minute change with no problem whatsoever, and didn't even charge extra for it. His crew cleaned up every night and didn't leave a dumpster parked nearby or any equipment or tools lying around. I would definitely use him again.

The work went very well. Bruce was extremely punctual explaining exactly what he was going to do and when he could do the work. He ended up repouring the front stoop and realized that it wasn't perfectly square to the house, so he had his workers tear it out again and repour it so that it was square. This was not an additional charge and showed that Bruce really cares about the finished product that he produces.

Bruce responded quickly to my call for an estimate. Once i sent the contract back to him, I waited for him to call. He called the day before and I was going to be busy with family over the next two days so he was kind enough to reschedule for after my family was gone. The crew came in and took two days to remove all old concrete, pour two steps the first day and the second day finished the work. He put in a wonderful curb to make sure the water went down my drive and not into the neighbors yard. It looks great. They took a lot of time makeing sure the grade was right to keep the water from my going into my garage and away from the house. It was just a pleasure working with Bruce.

It was definitely one of the best experiences I have ever had working with a contractor. Bruce was very courteous and professional and provided so much more information, details, and advice than did the other companies I contacted for estimates. When the work was completed and he stopped to pick up payment, he took the time to answer any questions I had, and gave me advice on getting a snow rake to help with/eliminate the ice problems I've had in the past. He's very down to earth, easy to talk with, and doesn't provide any pressure. His company's A rating is very well deserved.

Bruce and his crew provided excellent service. He returned phone calls promptly, kept appointments on time, and stayed in touch by phone to keep me up to date on where my project stood. He was on site the whole job, working himself and directing the crew. He provided good information on regrading and widening the driveway, and match the work up to the existing back walkway. His bid was considerably less than others I contacted, and he offered more.

Went great. This work is so dependent on weather, and be patient, as he'll call you a couple of days ahead of time to actually schedule once you've agreed and signed the bid. He showed up and did another great job for us and would recommend and use him again.

We were able to get our patio done the week that we had hoped (as it was my parent's 50th wedding anniversary party that week and we had family in town). Bruce called several times following up prior to actually doing the work. The weekend before and day before we talked about what time his crew would show up (7:15 a.m.), and they were there at 7:15 a.m. on the dot. They finished our patio, start to finish, by 1:00 p.m. He came back that evening to collect for the work (we knew up front we didn't need to pay until after the work was done), and also gave us a lien release. The patio is absolutely beautiful. He even rounded the corners on the edges. Sloped the patio a total of 5 inches from the house down to the yard (which could have been a real issue had we had another contractor do the job). We got more concrete for the money and the most professional work. His crew used plywood on the side of the house so our yard was not damaged except for some scuff marks, which we were told about upfront. He told us we could walk on the patio the next day, and when we could move stuff (furniture) back onto it for use later in the week.

It went very, very well. Bruce and his crew of about 6 men arrived with the Bobcat, dump trucks, etc. at 7:30 am. He communicated with my wife before starting, advised about not letting the dog out, gave her expectations of timing, how long it would be noisy, etc. . His predictions proved right on ( I wish I could do that). Bruce stayed on-site the whole time, working with the crew through all the phases. By 3:30 pm they had finished, cleaned the site, barracaded it with construction tape, and left. Bruce and his crew were professionial and courteous throughout. We are very satisfied with the finished product. We had to wait about a month for them to do the job, because of prior scheduled jobs and the uncertainty of weather, but we are glad we waited. He contacted us throughout the month to give us updates on the progress of their schedule. He called us the Friday prior to the Monday job to confirm that he would keep that schedule, weather permitting.

They have a new process that uses some type of fibers and it is quicker, better for the workers, and looks beautiful. They were professional, polite and on-time. They did a great job.

Bruce came out and looked at our driveway. He indicated that rain water would have no where to go with a new driveway due to the pitch at the end of the driveway. He discussed options and then recommended that we get a new garage that would help eliminate the problem. He does not build new garages so he gave us the name of a couple of companies. We appreciate the fact that he was honest and did not just take our job and money then leave us with a problem in the end. He was a very helpful man.

Our experience with Bruce and his crew was storybook! Bruce met with us to review our project and provide an estimate of work, materials, and cost. He was extremely knowledgable and gave a few other suggestions to prolong the life of our concrete driveway (both the new and the part were not replacing) and to address gaps in joints...more than we were expecting. He followed up with a written estimate within a few days that was nearly word-for-word what he told us. Once we agreed to move forward with the project, Bruce was in contact with me over the phone to give us an idea of our start date and contacted me again one week prior to starting to allow us time to remove our old deck. Bruce and his crew tackled the project in two parts over two days. The walkway and driveway were done in one day. They were prompt, swift, and the crew all work well together. Once the forms were set for the new walkway, Bruce gave me a last look in case we wanted to make any adjustments. The patio was done a few days later. They laid down sheets of plywood to create a path from the driveway to the backyard in order minimize damage to the lawn with their equipment. Bruce made a curved section of the patio slightly larger once on site and the forms were set and extended the width of the step from the quoted 48" to 110" (per our request) and honored his original estimate...even given the added materials and labor. We were thrilled with the outcome and feel as though we received more than we had expected. The job was finished yesterday afternoon and Bruce is stopping by today to make sure that we are happy with how everything went. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this experience and would highly recommend Bruce Dahlgren Construction to anyone in the market for concrete work!

Excellent - arrived on time, thought I needed stoop replaced and said this was fine and didn't need replacing. Was getting small amounts of water in the basement, house abuts driveway. Provided a quote and also gave advise on ways to stop the water in the basement when it rained until I can get driveway replaced. While I will have to forgo the driveway this year, I will contact him for replacement when time comes. Used his advise on the driveway and have stopped the water! Driveway still needs replacing though due to cracks and slope towards house in one area.

see above. This occurred in 2008, I think in July, but could have been a little later. I had forgotten him when I called for quoted this year. He contacted me and reminded me of previous ocntact.

Bruce is great at responding in a timely fashion - he poured my driveway last year - and over the rough winter there was an unusual crack. I called him - he responded the next day - came out and looked at it - and said he would replace the 3 sections for free this summer. While the concrete did crack - that can be expected with WI winters - and he said he will make sure he takes care of me. That is good customer service. I would highly recommend Bruce - he is the best communicator I have worked with when it comes to concrete services.

Bruce and his employees were all very professional and helpful. Bruce explained potential future problems of concrete in terms of cracking, and explained in detail the kind of concrete mixture used, the color it would be, how they would pitch it, etc. Work was scheduled about one month out; Bruce called to give periodic updates on the time line. Once the ground was prepared for pouring, I thought it was too big, so they kindly re-framed the area on one side to make it smaller.

Excellent work. Bruce (the owner) was very friendly and kept us informed what he was doing and when he was going to do it. He did all of the work on schedule and with high quality. His price was lower than most others we had estimate the work. Bruce and his staff made the entire project a pleasant experience. I would not hesitate to refer him to anyone I know or to hire him again myself.

Bruce and his guys did a good job. He got out for an estimate quickly, told me when he'd be able to start the job and then got it done quickly once they started. He was also very helpful and understanding in communicating with and working around the tenants in the building. The work itself is top notch.

Bruce was very professional and gave us some very good ideas about how to resolve some water issues in our basement, but in the end we went with a lower bid.

I thought that he was very knowledgeable in his work and very professional. He even completed the job earlier than he thought he would. The price was also very good.

Fantastic. Bruce really does a great job listening and then explaining what is going to happen. I had several questions before and during the process and he was very thorough in answering them. Bruce even talked to my neighbor to explain what was going to happen, and when. My neighbor was extremely happy that Bruce went out of his way to do this.

He did the work in a timely fashion. He used a bobcat to remove overgrown plants were we planned to extend the driveway. The new design is practical with eye appeal. He applied a protective finish at the end.
