I have no complaints for this company. They told me ahead of time what they were doing when extra parts had to be ordered. This added to the original quote, but they still did a great job. They kept at it until the work was completed. My yard looks great!

I had multiple contractors come to discuss options on the work I wanted done for which I also received multiple estimates. Therefore I was well versed on concrete projects in general by the time Gary came to my home. When I called Gary, it was already late in the season; I was dragging my feet on getting the work completed because I had not found a contractor I was happy with. Gary came to look at the work in about 24 hrs from my call. He talked to me about options and more than once said, 'whomever you choose to do this work...'. He was not a salesman - He was a professional, sharing his almost 40 years of expertise in the business and wanted to be sure that if/when I had the work done, I had it done correctly. He was honest about cost, materials used, the techniques he and his crew used. He gave me options at different price points and explained the pros/cons of each. The result was beyond my expectations. You may think, concrete steps are concrete steps, but these new steps look fantastic. He leveled the grade, made them wider and gave them a sleek shape that makes the approach to the house much more attractive. I have gotten multiple compliments on them. He also removed a large pine tree positioned next to the steps, post-cost estimate, and no charge. It likely made his job easier, but ensured the roots would not interfere with the concrete foundation in the future as well. The retaining wall looks wonderful. What was standard concrete block is now decorative landscaping block with gravel and weep holes for drainage. Very nicely done. All was done in 2 days by Gary himself and one other member of his crew. They cleaned up the yard, sidewalk and driveway perfectly. I would not hesitate to bring Gary's company back for any concrete work in the future. I spoke to 5 other concrete contractors and they are a different breed of folks. Gary's genuine desire to do good work and the pride he takes in his work sets him apart from the competition.

When I tried to get an appointment to have him to look at my driveway, he said he couldn't come out until Friday October 24th. I called him on the 15th. I assumed that he would want to come during the day, so he could see the damage. He said he wouldn't be able to come out to look at it until six or seven at night. I felt he was being brisk with me, almost like I was wasting his time. He was very uninterested. He said that because he's on Angie's List, he must be very good.

Gary came out for an estimate on a Sunday and started the job 2 weeks after that. I had a couple of estimates already, but they all were almost double and would not have been to my specifications. He started the job on Monday morning and was done by Friday due to the weather. He did additional things to improve my property and make them safe for my tenants and did not charge me. He truly did an outstanding job. It just looks marvelous! I never thought I could get excited about concrete work. He is on my Top 10 contractor list, very well priced and outstanding quality.

Received an estimate in a timely manner. After I had decided on Thompson construction, it was about 2 weeks before the work was done. The initial pour was done in one day, however after a weekend of rain an area of pooling was noted on the front step. When I mentioned my concern to Gary, he stated he would look at it the next day and when I returned home from work, the entire pour had been removed. It was re-poured a day later. This time with no problems. I very much appreciated that the problem was fixed with no hassles. I think this shows a company that cares about its work and reputation. Overall a pretty good experience.

Gary Thompson did a fantastic job. Came on time and did the work in a very professional manner. Excellent quality and the work looks great. Completed the work when he said they would. Gary gave me suggestions on things I could do to improve my area around the house while the old concrete was out and before the new concrete was laid. Gary's price was over 30% less than another bid and he did more work!

The work could not be done by the date specified because the project ahead of us encountered a delay. We were notified by phone of an alternate date and the work was done at that time. We are pleased with the results and the care taken to allow repair to the rest of the drive in the future.

Excellent work. The job was performed as scheduled, and they did an excellent job. Clean up was great as well. The experience with this company was wonderful from start to finish. We received an estimate in a timely fashion and, when we hired them for the job, it was completed quickly and totally to our satisfaction.

The results look great! Mr. Thompson was the only contractor who ended up coming to give an estimate. The others never returned our calls. He returned all phone calls in a timely manner and was great to work with. We will be asking him to take a look at more work for us in the future.

Gary and his crew showed up a 6:30am in the morning. And by 6:30 that night I had the old cracked driveway removed and a gorgeous new one in it's place. It looks fabulous. The crew was friendly and cleaned up every last bit of the mess. I am very pleased. I would recommend Thompson construction to anyone with concrete needs.

Gary was very punctual in stopping by and giving an estimate. Gary showed up to the job timely. Unfortunately, Gary did not review the weather forecast closely. He poured half of the patio and it started raining. He covered the poured concrete with tarp and came back 2 days later to finish the other half of the patio. As a result, the patio has "divots" in the concrete where the rain had hit the concrete, plus the patio does not match right now since it was poured on 2 different days with different weather conditions, etc. I asked Gary if and when it would match. He told me "my guess was as good as his". He told me to blame the meteorologist that had not forecasted rain. I pulled up weather.com that first morning and rain was in the forecast. I was disappointed that he rushed to get the job done with rain in the forecast and he did not take ownership for the bad judgment. Instead he blamed the meteorologist. Hopefully the concrete will match in time, but the divots are there forever.

They were very prompt and courteous. Everything was taken care of within an hour or so.

After I left a message on their answering machine, someone from this company called and left a message with my son that he would call again. When no one called within a few days, I left another message, but no one ever called me back. I find this very annoying. If they're too busy to do the work, they should call and tell me that.

Called for an estimate on having a sidewalk put in. As requested by the recorded message, left our name, phone number, address and work we wanted done. They never called us back.

I called to get an estimate on a removal of driveway and patio and replacement with concrete. Left a very detailed message, and never received a call back.

Gary was great to work with. He kept me informed on when he would be able to start the project. He arrived when he said he would. The job was done well, and all debris was removed. He even repaired a part of the iron railing that had been broken a long time ago!

Gary Thompson and his crew did a wonderful job on a smaller concrete job. About a 4' x 4' square was removed and a new concrete slab was put in. I would recommend him as many would NOT do such a smaller job. He's smart that way. I am happy with his work.

Gary and his crew were professional, prompt (in fact, they were able to start a day earlier than planned) and very knowledgeable. They did an excellent job and I would hire them again.

Excellent job! Gary from Thompson Construction called us back the same day we asked for a quote. He stopped over the following day to quote on the job. We accepted his quote and he completed the work within two weeks. The crew is experienced and hard-working. They picked up after themselves and kept the site neat while working. Communication throughout the entire process was excellent. We were told when the prep work would be done, when the crew would set up the forms and when the concrete would be delivered.

The Thompson construction estimate was half that of another contractor's for the same work. Gary is extremely knowledgeable about concrete pouring (he has over 40 years experience) and he's personable to boot. He answered our phone calls quickly, and took the time to answer all our questions. He and his crew worked remarkably well as a team. I recommend them highly.

Gary was prompt and polite. They worked very hard to get the openings right for the windows and even patched a few cracks in the walls for free.

Gary Thompson and his crew were wonderful! They were not only on time, but early. The workers were courteous and meticulous about their work. I received several bids on this project, and Gary came in well below the others, and there was no sacrifice in quality. I hope to bring him back to do more work in the future.
