When I called Gary Thompson to quote for the job he arrived shortly after the call and was very courteous and professional. Gary spent the time to explain the process and addressed to my satisfaction any concerns that I had about the job and provided the quote before he left. I originally just wanted the patio removed but decided to replace the patio and received quotes from other contractors as well. When I contacted Thompson Construction for a new quote Gary arrived within 15 minutes after the call and provided the most reasonable price for the job. I accepted the quote and Gary and his assistant started the job 7:00am the following morning. I was concerned that the grass would be damaged leading to the patio and that the house and garage foundations might be damaged because the patio was tight against them but Gary and his assistant laid down plywood for the loader to drive on and they were very careful in removing the concrete. By noon all the concrete and hedges were removed and by the afternoon the form was built for the new patio, the concrete was poured and the topsoil was in place. The next morning they finished raking out the topsoil, removed the plywood and did a good job of cleaning up everything. I am very pleased with the job they did. They are very skilled and hardworking people and I would highly recommend them.

As ussual, my bloodpressure never went up even once. And that is amazing, considering the size of the pour.

The estimate was timely and the work was done soon afterward. I have had several compliments from neighbors and I am very pleased with the work. I contacted this vendor because of the positive reviews on Angie's List, and they were reliable! It is quality work at a fair price.

Gary was on time, & gave me as estimate immediately. He worked over the weekend to get the job done considering the weather. He was great to work with & I would highly recommend him.

I was working with a few other trades at the time Gary and his crew, which included Robin his brother and "Doc" were working; everyone was very impressed with the speed and quality of the work. The end product is amazing as you can see by the photos below. I will work with Thompson Construction again!

Excellent work. They started promptly at 7 am and were ready to pour the concrete by 9 am. The patio had been dug out but they did the finish preparation. Once the pour ws completed they stayed longer as it was taking a while to set up, even though this delayed them from starting another job. Once the finish was set he came back the enxt morning to seal it. Oveerall excellent work and a great attention to detail and cleanup.

They were a fun group to work with. All questions were answered completely to my satisfaction and the experience was very enjoyable. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone or use them again in the future.

Gary was prompt and helpful when he came out to give me an estimate. He was able to schedule the job promptly. Job was accomplished in a timely manner. Everything was cleaned up and the job looks great. I'm very pleased with the end result and the service I got.

He seems sincere and he's been in business for longtime. He was good, just that he wanted us to pay $1000 more than probably we should pay. I think he had all kinds of experience; he was in business for long time. He knew what he was talking, very sincere about what he was going to do and what he wouldn't do. I was very impressed with him; it's just that it was more than what I thought we would have to pay. Yes I would consider using him.

He laid the concrete two years ago but it cracked and fell apart so he redid it for free. He went by his word and he redid it for free even though he didn?t have to. The good thing is that, when he was done, he put topsoil and seed down on the area that had been dug up. I would use this company again.

They did a really good job. Gary Thompson is the owner. They were very good and very knowledgeable about building codes and all that was required. They were prompt and they went over and above the contract. After getting the work done they brought in more fill to change the elevations around the house so I had proper drainage around the house.

I had contacted 7 contractors for this job. Gary Thompson and one other contractor were the most responsive, professional, and took the most time to help me understand the details of the job. Gary was able to move quickly to schedule and complete the job. Old concrete and porch was removed and new concrete was poured in one day. Completed all unfinished carpentry, walkway repair, and clean-up the following day. Excellent job completed in just two days. Minimal disruption and hassle for us. Gary and co-workers are friendly and professional. I highly recommend Gary Thompson and crew.

Gary was prompt, polite and very nice. Seemed very knowledgeable about concrete work. Price was competitive and was willing to work job in early October before it started to get colder, thus shortening cure time. Results are excellent. Very pleased with the quality and craftsmanship of the newly poured concrete. Time will tell how it holds up. Also, Gary was the only estimate that offered to use a special sealer that can go on new concrete, at no additional charge. Overall, very happy with experience.

Everything was fantastic. I called the company and Mr. Thompson called me back just 3 hours later. He was very nice and competent. He explained everything. They came to look at the job that same evening and gave us a quote. Their quote was alot less than what I had been quoted by another company. They set a certain date and something had come up. They let us know that they would be at my house the very next day. They took the old floor out, removed everything, put the new floor in, and cleaned everything up. They did such a nice job and were such nice people.

Gary indicated he would be at our house at 4:30pm unless he had a job, in which case he would call. He neither called or showed up. Will never consider this company again.

I researched many companies and received two estimates before having Gary replace our front stoop. I hired him based on his strong Angie's List reputation and his fair price. Gary planned the job according to the weather forecast and called a couple days ahead to let us know he was coming. He and his crew member removed the old stoop one day and setup the frame for the new one. They returned the following day to pour the new stoop. (We had relatives coming into town that afternoon and Gary checked to make sure he wouldn't interfere with those plans.) The result is a solid concrete porch with an attractive broom finish. Gary let us know how long to wait to stain the concrete (something we plan on doing ourselves). Gary made a point of reminding me to review him on Angie's List and to be sure and mention what a good cleanup job he did, however I can't attest to that completely. Some small bits of new, wet concrete must have fallen onto our exisiting walkway, leaving some obvious stains. That clean up job is now on my to-do list. We also had to remove stray nails and gravel and replace some grass in front of the stoop - all which could have been avoided. Overall, however, I realize these issues are minor. The important thing is we have a beautiful new front stoop!

Gary did a great job. He did what I had asked him to do to accommodate my needs. He even went above the call of duty, took his time and did the job carefully. He cleaned up after himself and during the work.

Once they arrived everything went off like clock work. The broke out the the old slabs, lifted the air conditioner, leveled everything out, compact the stone they brought in, inserted wire mesh and pulled in into the concrete,poured 5 plus inches, and did a very professional job on sloping and finishing the job. This was a small job and they met our needs. They answered the questions in a way someone without all the concrete experience could understand.

Gary Thompson was great to work with. He came out on a weekend to scope the job and provide a quote. The job was done in the expected time-frame and right on budget. The job site was clean with no damage to adjacent lawn and sprinkler system. I highly recommend him.

Gary was very prompt for our first appointment. He provided me with an estimate on the spot and answered all of my questions thoroughly and to my satisfaction. After returning the signed proposal to him, he called me and stated they were ahead of schedule and asked whether they could come the week prior to Memorial Day weekend to do the work. I had originally asked for the work to be done in early June, but this was close enough to our timing, plus it gave us the 3-day weekend to put in topsoil and grass seed around the areas where the new concrete was poured. Gary and his team were very careful not to damage our lawns and the patch-up work afterwards to the lawn is minimal compared to some other concrete jobs I've seen. They did the demo on Thursday and poured on Friday. He was here to seal the concrete Friday afternoon and even helped my wife carry groceries in from the car - this goes above and beyond and certainly distinguishes him very favorably from other contractors we've hired in the past. He left a couple of piles of dirt for us to use to fill in the gaps around the sidewalks and re-attached the handrails on our front porch within a week of doing the initial work. He also found a way to keep our central AC unit propped up so that the patio could be poured without disconnecting and re-connecting the AC unit. This saved us the inconvenience of going without AC on some pretty hot days. The finished product is solid, clean, and decorative as he took a bit of creative license in adding some contour to the shape of the patio. All in all an outstanding experience. Our neighbors also came over and told us how impressed they were with the fine work that had been done.

He gave me a very reasonable and fair price and I decided to have Gary do the job. He is very knowledgeable and professional. With 35 years of experience and a very good reputaion on Angies List, I felt comfortable going with Thompson Costruction. Gary called several weeks later and we set up a day that worked for both of us. Gary and one other crew member came on time and completed the job exactly as promised. He kept me informed throughout the day on the progress, and it looks great. I will definitely hire Gary again for any concrete needs I may have.
