DaVinci Painting

Joel was very curtious and lived up to all of our expectations (including some extra help) at no additional cost. We will use him in the future.

It went really well. Thought there was going to be some scheduling issues at first but Joel was very accommodating. He worked on Father's day for goodness sake...have to appreciate a contractor that goes that far to please customers. He's a busy guy and for good reason. Very nice work very professional. Well definitely keep his contact info handy.

Joel was fabulous! He was extremely professional. Examples include a written timely quote, arriving on time both for quote and painting, cleaned up each day, and clear timely communication regarding dates, start time, and plan for each day. Joel also was kind enough to clean up edges in my 13 year old's room. I wanted my son to have the responsibility and experience of painting his room, but after some blue got on his ceiling decided to have Joel paint the ceiling. When he arrived, for a modest additional amount, Joel agreed clean up the edges on the walls and ceiling (one wall was an accent wall) so the whole thing looked professional. Looked awesome! I always get excited when I find contractors I can trust and don't have to be searching. Joel will be my go to contractor for all interior painting going forward! Thanks Joel!

We are so pleased to have found Joel on Angie's list. Joel is a professional in every sense of the word. He did an excellent job on our ceiling. He took care of some water damage stains for us and painted the entire ceiling taking care to tape off light fixtures. He covered our furniture with drop cloths and even did some vacuuming when he was cleaning up. He arrived on time and left in a timely manner. I would without a doubt hire him for any interior paint job in the near future. You can be sure you will be very pleased with his work.

Joel painted our whole house inside and he did a great job. He worked one room at a time which made it easy to get ready and not have the whole house messed up. Joel was very neat and particular, no drips or spatters. I would definitely recommend DaVinci Painting to anyone.

Joel painted the dining room (with paint we provided - our choice to do so) and he stained and sealed 15 new window sashes with stain he matched to current frames. He also put me in contact with someone else who removed the wallpaper one day prior to the painting. Joel was great from the beginning with frequent timely communication. He was punctual, professional and very friendly and the job looks great! I have already recommended him to my daughter. I also appreciated the Angie's List discount he offered at the time I intially contacted him.

Joel came at the time we agreed upon and was very careful about putting the paint covers around the room so no paint would get on surfaces that were not to be painted. We found out that we were "on different pages" on the painted surfaces at first, but he quickly was able to do what I had envisioned and the end result is beautiful. He answered my questions and was very patient with me. He did a great cleanup job after he was finished painting. Would I use him again? You bet I would!

Joel did an excellent job performing the work and my wife and I are extremely happy. From estimating, to the detail taken with the painting to the cleanup, the project was done perfectly.

When I called Joel for an estimate he didn't think he could fit it into his schedule in a timely manner since we wanted to put the condo on the market soon. But he called back later that day and said he would be glad to give us an estimate and if we accepted it he could fit us in the week of July 4th, just a week and half away. His estimate was great and straight forward without any hidden costs. Once he began, he did notice that some of the walls really needed a second coat since I picked out a light biege color. He adjusted the cost accordingly and fairly. We were glad he suggested the additonal coat as well. He began the project on Monday and was done by Thursday. We met on Friday to go over everything with him and were very pleased with the results. The whole condo looked brighter and cleaner. Thanks Joel.

When I contacted Joel Vandergraft I was in a bit of a bind. The painter that I had set up cancelled at the last minute and I needed to find someone quickly since our son and family were moving in with us and we had torn apart the bedrooms they would be occupying. Joel returned my call promptly and said that he would see if he could reschedule a client and fit me in. He did and was here the following Monday-Wednesday promptly at 8:00 am as promised and did a fabulous job on our two rooms. He was neat and cleaned up at the end of each day. Three years ago when we moved into our home we knew we needed every room painted and were referred to Joel from our Interior Designer. For that job he painted EVERY room in our house EXCEPT the kitchen. We waited until we were comfortable with all our colors, valances, wood trim, etc and when the time came to pick a Painter there was NO question, it was Joel. We have had a lot of contractors in our home and a lot of work done, by FAR Joel is the MOST professional. He is respectful of our schedule (I stay home with two kids - one of whom naps and a dog who is ). Hands down he is the best!!! We will use him for ALL interior painting needs in the future!! We are so thankful for all of his beautiful work in our home!

Part 2 of Joel's work went just as nice as part one. He arrived on time, went over the work to be done for the day, cleaned up, and left everything neatly ready for the next day. Together with my husband, they carefully moved our large flat screen TV as well as my sheer draperies which were on 3 of the windows and at the end of the day, they carefully put everything back. Although we made only minor color changes to the rooms, everything is so fresh and clean. As we said earlier, we would not hesitate to recommend Joel to anyone who is looking for a good interior painter.

The experience was great. Joel set up a time to meet with me at my connivence for the estimate and emailed it to me later that same day. He always got back to me promptly when ever I emailed him any questions. We set up the time to do the painting, it was over two days starting at 8 AM each day. Joel was very punctual and was always on time. He moved everything out of the way, had everything covered and even vaccumed the carpet for me! I have some more projects planned and will be calling him again to do the painting!

Joel did a great job. As others have mentioned, he arrives on time, is very neat about his work and cleans up everything for the next day. Everything looks so great that I can't stop walking around and looking at the newly painted walls. Everything was done exactly as we had asked. If you are working in another room, you hardly know that he is there. I am now looking forward to decorating with some new things on our new walls. We will definitely hire Joel again when we are ready to paint the rest of the rooms in our home.

We heard about Da Vinci Painting through a friend who had some painting done about four years ago and were very pleased. Joel promptly responded to our request for a quote (no charge) and complied with our request to break the quote into two prices - one price for just half the rooms in our condo and the other for doing the entire job. His prices seemed very competitive. Joel gave us a Sherwin Williams color wheel to help us select potential colors. He also suggested that we could purchase a small quantity of any color we thought had potential and buy Sherwin Williams ?Color To Go? small samples that we could paint on the walls to see how the color looked in every type of light. This really made a difference in our final color selections. We had tentatively scheduled our work to be done about a month in advance and as our schedule and Joel?s scheduled changed, he kept in constant touch with us on the start date. He arrived exactly on schedule and went over what he was going to do that particular day which helped ease my wife?s anxiety. He is very neat and it is easy to forget that he is working in another room. We liked the fact that he completed one room at a time with minimal disruption of our living. At the end of each day he cleans up and leaves his equipment neatly out of the way. There were no surprises during the job. We mentioned a small area that was not in his original quote and he said he would do it for his ?cost?. This was very nice as he did it professionally and if I would have tried to paint it on my own I am sure it wouldn?t have turned out as nice. We had gone with the option of painting our condo in two stages and with the great job he did we plan to finish the other portion of our condo in the next few months. I would definitely recommend him to others.

We hired Joel through our staging person to ready a house for sale. He did an amazing job, especially on a tricky old staircase. When we changed our mind about a color half way through, it was no problem for him. When we needed help with the new house, we didn't even consider calling anyone else. Joel is very professional, shows up on time and does a terrific job.

Joel was very professional, prompt and responsive throughout the entire process. Previously painted areas looked fantastic with the new colors. Areas where wallpaper had been removed (done by another contractor he recommended to us as an additional expense outside this contract) posed some challenges in terms of finish quality, but Joel was very willing throughout the entire job to re-address any areas where we were not completely satisifed. He came back on a Saturday and Sunday after the job was complete at no charge to patch, sand and repaint areas in the powder room that still needed attention, but did not become apparent until the paint had completely dried and cured. We solicited three proposals before selecting Joel to do the work. We received a lower cost proposal from another contractor, but selected Joel due to the excellent reviews he has received from others on this site. His price was fair, and although a number of areas needed second coats that were not included in the proposal, he only charged us a small portion of what he probably was entitled to. Joel is very easy to work with and we would certainly use him again for any interior painting needs.

He was able to come within the time frame I was looking for and finished the painting early and in budget. When Joel came to our home, his supplies, ladders, drop cloths were very organized and didn't get in the way of our living. He did our whole cathedral ceiling which was an open area that included the living, dining and kitchen area and did an excellent job. He was very helpful when we needed to find paint for the walls to do touch-up and went out of his way to make sure the paint matched. The pain job took two days and he stored all of his supplies and equpment that were not in our way. I would definitely use Joel again. Even our dog Bucky liked him.

AMAZING! We took at least 6 estimates on the job before deciding on DaVinci Painting but couldn't have chosen a better painter. Joel was incredibly neat and efficient. . He completed this job in less than 5 days and it looks wonderful. The rounded corners were done by hand and look perfect. He works alone and made this entire process WAY easier to deal with than we ever could have imagined. There was absolutely NO drippings on our hardwood floors or furniture. VERY HAPPY!

Joel came out within a couple of days of our call to estimate the job. We had his complete, detailed estimate that same day. His price included the supplies including all the paint, all we had to do was give him the colors we wanted and he took care of the rest. He came as scheduled on the first day and each day after that until the project was complete. He works very efficiently and does an outstanding job cleaning everything up at the end of each day. He sought our feedback throughout the process and kept us informed on his progress. We could not have been more pleased with the project from start to finish. We highly recommend DaVinci painting to anyone who desires a hassle-free experience with a true professional.

Joel was the consummate professional and visited our house to first review the areas to be painted. He explained our options and described how and when the work would be done and completed - and then followed through. By the next day we had a very fair quote for the job. Communication was top-notch; we received a prompt reply to every question, and he was very flexible to our needs and concerns. In addition, he successfully painted the small vent on the exterior of our garage - a challenge in itself because the material rejected most paint when we had tried to do it ourselves! He was very experienced and competent. He had his own equipment and cleaned up thoroughly at the end of the process. Quality products were utilized and the results are great. We're also having him do our ceilings soon. Highly recommended. UPDATE: we've added a photo to show how great the painted cabinets look with our new back splash tile and countertops!
