Description of Work: Welded a piece to fix my door latch. Less costly than I expected and well done. The person I delt with was a bit grumpy and the shop is small and cluttered but the work was excellent and very reasonably priced.

 + 1 moreI took car in for an estimate on a Friday. JIm was quick to figure estimate and offered pricing both for aftermarket and OEM parts replacement. The best part was that he told me he could start the following Tuesday if parts were available (they were) and that he would be done on Thursday. We both acknowledged in advance the possibility of some suspension damage and in fact there was damage there as well when the body work was completed and the alignment was checked. That required an additional day to obtain parts but was totally understandable. The car looks great again and drives properly. Jim matched the paint extremely well and it is not visible that repair work on the body has been completed. Jim provided an honest assessment of damage, cost, and timing. He also provided a loaner car during the time our car was in the shop.
Description of Work: Repair damage to left front quarter panel and front bumper; paint new work and repaint some previous damage on hood. Repair damaged front suspension and provide alignment services.

Description of Work: Jim was willing to work in my price range and was very easy to work with. I would not hesitate to recommend him for any painting job. He painted my basement floor for me - awesome job.

 + -1 moreThey were okay, but they weren't that great. It wasn't excellent. There wasn't anything terribly wrong; it just wasn't great. The price was fair. He is friendly. His punctuality isn't very good. He got the job done.

Description of Work: Replace the two front drive shafts on my mini-van.

 + -1 moreEric took my car and gave me a ride home. Eric hooked my car up to his computer and realized there was a problem with an expensive sensor, about 400 dollars. He did a very noble thing, he cleaned the sensor and the area around the sensor. He even called me when the car was done and picked me up from my house. My vehicle has been working great ever since and he saved me 400 dollars. You really do find service like this every day.
Description of Work: I own an older mini-van and my vehicle was stalling when i stopped. I live in De Forest so I decided to take my car there.

 + 0 moreThe reason we have faith in Jim's Paint and Repair, is that we've heard from other people what a great job they do. Whether it's mechanical - then see Eric, or body work that needs TLC - then see Jim; you can't go wrong by choosing Jim's Paint and Repair.
Description of Work: Jim's did such a good job fixing the quarter panel on the passenger side of our F250 earlier this year, that when a run away trailer whacked into the driver's side of our truck in August, we had no qualms returning to Jim's to have the second disaster fixed. Yep, once again, Jim came through with perfectly matching flying colors and a new decal to boot. His estimate was dead on the first time and dead on the second time, right down to the penny. My husband is very picky, particularly when it comes to his truck, so it was great having the truck done perfectly, at the price quoted and ready on time.

 + 0 moreThe experience took me back to my small town up north. The service was exceptional and I felt much better after i was done.
Description of Work: Brought my vehicle in for a routine oil change and wanted the car to be inspected for mechanical issues. I had a reccomended list from a large service center and needed the full story. I was to learn that most of the major work really wasn't needed at this time. My brakes need to be done yet was given a realistic time frame to have the work done. Also, the estimate to have the breaks done was 40 % less than the large service center.
