Borth-Wilson Plumbing & Remodeling

I called three or four places for estimates, including Borth Wilson. While they were the lowest price, they were also able to convince me that the product they were installing was more than adequate to meet our needs in keeping the basement dry. They were able to send a technician to come the same week we called, he arrived on time and was very polite, the installation occurred in the time frame he gave, he answered all our questions upon completion of the installation, and the payment requested was exactly the same as what had been quoted. We also appreciated the fact that we were able to get a quote over the phone and did not have to have someone come out to give an "estimate." We were so happy with their service and price that we had Don Wilson out to estimate a bathroom remodel that we have planning. We are currently awaiting that estimate.

Call them! I am very happy with the way it was handled. We hope every repair call we make will be like this one.

Friendly service and very neat and clean.

I called at 7:10 in the morning and had my choice of times. The window of time I chose was between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and Joel arrived about 11:30. Quick diagnosis of toilet and bathtub problem. The kitchen faucet was improvable but not fixable. Very little cleanup was necessary after Joel left, just a quick spray and wipe on the floor around the toilet. The prices for the parts on the job invoice seemed to me to be quite inflated. Labor charge was reasonable.

Borth-Wilson has been working with us on a per job basis and we have extremely pleased with all of their work. We are given separate estimates for each job and for each job, their price, response and quality of work have all been excellent. All calls have been promptly returned and they generally can add us to their schedule within a week or two, depending on the size of the job.

Very pleased with overall work. They encountered a small problem since the new vanity didn't match the existing one. They also hauled away all the old stuff. Second or third time I've used them. Costs seems a little high, but worth the quality.

It was kind of strange. They did all the plumbing work in the wall but they did not connect it to the actual sink. That part would cost extra. It worked out okay because my father-in-law helped us connect the sink. I guess I expected the quote to include actually attaching the sink to the plumbing work. I am not sure of the total price of the job.

I called Borth-Wilson on 2/1/07 to see if I could have the work done on 2/2/07 because I was off work that day. They were able to accommodate my request. Scott was scheduled to arrive between 1:00 3:00 pm and called me to ask if he could come a little early which was great. He fixed the leak in the water main by tightening a nipple. He determined that the master shower would need a new cartridge and he said he could go back to the shop and pick one up since they had it in stock. He came back to our house and replaced the cartridge. Labor is $102 (I think this is high price-but that's just me) per hour and Scott was only at our house for one half hour-I appreciated his honesty in not overcharging me for the labor since some companies round up. Scott was very professional.

It was very good. I like they came and gave me an estimate. He got right to it. He was prompt. He knew what he was doing, and he cleaned up.

They put in new lighting fixture, new doors;tile work is just beautiful. Also, they put in wood cabinets in both rooms. Price may seem high but is all worth it. I did not like first cabinet and they came back and replaced it with no problem. I have had minor problems, but they have assisted me in fixing these issues. They have come out willingly and not charged.

Great service, good advice and accommodating when we ran into unexpected installation problems. Promptand coordinated well with other workers. Our only problem was a communication glitch over the garbage disposal.

THE REASON WE HIRED THEM WAS THEIR HIGH QUALITY OF WORKMANSHIP. THEIR WEAKNESS IS IN THEIR ESTIMATING TURNAROUND TIME. WE EXPLAINED IT TO THE ESTIMATOR, AND THEN HE HAD TROUBLE GETTING IT ALL RIGHT SO HE HAD TO GO THROUGH IT ALL AGAIN. THIS DELAYED THE PROCESS A LOT. BUT ONCE THEY KNEW EXACTLY WHAT WE WANTED THEY WERE ABLE TO GET THE JOB DONE QUICKLY.

VERY POSITIVE. THE COMPANY REALLY HELPED US OUT IN A PINCH BECAUSE WE WE'RE PLANNING ON INSTALLING THE DISHWASHER OURSELVES BUT RAN INTO TROUBLE BECAUSE WE COULDN'T PURCHASE A NEEDED WASHER AT LOCAL HARDWARE STORES. BORTH-WILSON WAS ABLE TO COME OUT THE NEXT DAY AND COMPLETE THE INSTALLATION.

They were punctual (which is very important to me).

The whole job required a tile man, a plumber, and counter top installers. Every one of the workmen were friendly, efficient and came when they said they would. The kitchen counter-top required special handling to fit the space. The workmen consulted us before proceeding. Because of the configuration of the old counter-top, tiles were required to cover the windowsill. The job turned out beautifully! We are VERY pleased! The kitchen sink also required special handling, and the plumber did an excellent job! Again, we are VERY pleased! The closet floor tiles required creativity to match the existing tiles, and that job, too, was excellent! The pop-up sink assemblies were the only ''routine'' part of he whole job, and they were installed efficiently and look great. On the whole, we are VERY pleased with the job that the Borth-Wilson workmen performed for us. We would recommend them without hesitation.

What nightmares are made of. Set and agreed on a date on our first meeting for work to be performed. Couldn't honor this date, when they got my check for the first half of the job, because they had booked other jobs. Had to insist on dates that conflicted with company arriving and Christmas. When work is near completion it is noticed that border tile is going AROUND the towel bar, instead of next to it which also caused it to not meet up at the floor border. Owners looked and agreed it was bad only to find out also that there was a chip in the new tub. Entire bathroom had to be ripped out to start over. 3/4 of the way through the NEW job, noticed that border tile WAS NOT EVEN THE SAME COLOR OR PATTERN. Had to insist on checking, which ended up to be wrong from tile shop. Toilet seat on new toilet is wrong color, and was replaced with a better color, but feels cheap. Shower head leaked 2 days after job finished. Is completed and nice now but wondering what next.

CALLED FOR A SERVICE APPOINTMENT BECAUSE OF THE PROXIMITY TO MY HOME. THE RECEPTIONIST WAS VERY FRIENDLY BUT THE SERVICE MANAGER WAS NOT HELPFUL. I EXPLAINED THAT I NEEDED SOME NEW FIXTURES INSTALLED IN OUR BATHROOM AFTER SOME REMODELING. THE SERVICE MANAGER SAID THEY WOULDN'T DO THE WORK BECAUSE I HAD ALREADY PURCHASED THE FIXTURES (FROM THEIS BY THE WAY). HE INDICATED I WOULD LIKELY HOLD BORTH-WILSON RESPONSIBLE IF THE FIXTURES I PURCHASED FAILED. THAT NEVER CROSSED MY MIND SO I FOUND IT AN ODD RESPONSE. HE MUST HAVE HAD SOME BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCES AND NOW HAS A POLICY THAT TURNS AWAY POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS. I WOULD HAVE BEEN HAPPY TO SIGN A WARRANTY RELEASE OR SOMETHING OF THAT NATURE BUT NO ALTERNATIVES WERE OFFERED. OVERALL, I WOULD HAVE FOUND HIS POLICY ACCEPTABLE IF HE COULD HAVE PRESENTED IT IN A MORE CUSTOMER FRIENDLY WAY. I WILL NOT USE THEM IN THE FUTURE.

IT TOOK LONGER TO GET THE LITTLE FINISHING TOUCHES DONE THEN I EXPECTED, BUT ON THE WHOLE I FELT IT WAS AN EXCELLENT JOB. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.

THEY WERE PROFESSIONAL AND ON TIME.

EXCELLENT. PERSON WHO SCHEDULED WAS FRIENDLY and HELPFUL. PLUMBER WAS OUT NEXT DAY and WORK COMPLETED AS PROMISED.

NOT ONLY WAS MATT FROM BORTH-WILSON ABLE TO BE AT MY HOUSE FEWER THAN 24 HOURS AFTER I CALLED, BUT HE WAS THERE A LITTLE EARLIER THAN HE EXPECTED. HE QUICKLY DIAGNOSED THE TOILET PROBLEM AND REPAIRED IT AND DETERMINED WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS WITH THE TUB. IT WAS A BIT MORE INVOLVED THAN I ORIGINALLY THOUGHT, SO HE GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE FOR THE REPAIR WHICH I THOUGHT VERY REASONABLE. HE WAS IN AND OUT IN A LITTLE OVER AN HOUR. I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH HIS SERVICE AND WILL HAVE BORTH-WILSON RETURN TO WORK ON THE TUB.

IT WAS VERY GOOD. THE TWO YOUNG MEN WERE POLITE, KNOWLEDGEABLE AND EXPLAINED ALL THEY DID. PRICE WAS VERY REASONABLE AS COMPARED WITH AN ESTIMATE FROM ANOTHER COMPANY.

EXCELLENT SERVICE, WAS ABLE TO INSTALL THE NEXT DAY AFTER I CALLED LATE IN THE AFTERNOON. PLUMBER WAS FRIENDLY AND EFFICIENT. CLEANED UP AFTER HIMSELF AND REMOVED OLD WATER HEATER. VERY SATISFIED.

STEVE ASKED FOR MY INPUT AND ANSWERED MY QUESTIONS AS WELL. WHILE HE WAS THERE, STEVE ALSO ATTACHED A NEW DRAIN TO MY UTILITY SINK AND SECURED THE SINK TO THE WALL TO STABILIZE THE SINK. THE FINAL TOTAL FOR THE WORK WAS 260.00 TO RUN A GAS LINE 15 FEET TO MY DRYER AND TO ATTACH THE DRAIN TO MY UTILITY SINK. THIS AMOUNT WAS UNDER THEIR ORIGINAL ESTIMATE AND WELL BELOW THE OTHER WRITTEN ESTIMATE I HAD RECEIVED. I WILL BE IN TOUCH WITH BORTH-WILSON AGAIN FOR OTHER PROJECTS I HAVE PLANNED AND WOULD RECOMMEND THEIR WORK TO ANYONE.

ARRIVED AS SCHEDULED. VERY THOROUGH AND NEAT. RETURNED VERY PROMPTLY TO FIX A WATER LINE THAT HAD A WEAK JOINT (NO ADDITIONAL COST). PRICE WAS MUCH CHEAPER THEN FIVE OTHER PLUMBERS CALL FOR ESTIMATE OF SIMILAR WORK.
