RUFF CONSTRUCTION

My association had this company out to respond to water damage repair. The estimates were done and the dates were set. Then from the time it started to the time it ended there were several days in which they did not show up for work. I had to stay in a hotel longer because of this. The time of the work lasted about twice as long as it was estimated More than this, the quality of the work was very poor indeed. The drywall surfaces were left unmatched, uneven and inconsistent in its texture! There were parts of the ceiling that they didn't finish painting. The trim was re-attached but done badly! In places it is crooked, not level and with globs of glue! This was a non-quality rush-job. They gave this job no focus or priority and I as the customer could feel it. Truly not a professional outfit. This experience has made me much more skeptical of promises to do work Finally, when it came to the question of fixing some of its mistakes, the company initially agreed to pay for a portion of fixing the mess and then at the last minute backed out and said I had waited too long to raise concerns and I had to take care of any repairs myself. Save yourself some grief and do not hire this company. I can do everything they did better and faster all by myself and that's saying something

Showed up. Did the work. Made the repairs on time.

It went great. They came over on the day they said they would, got the steps fixed, painted, and I'm happy. Ruff does a lot of work for our condo association and we have almost always been pretty happy with them. They can be a bit pricey at times, but generally they get the job done on time, competently, and the cost is fair.
