o2Pure Air Duct Cleaning

Kirk was fantastic. He arrived right on time. He took the time to make friends with my daughter and my dog. Then, he got right to work. The process was a little noisy, but didn't take too long (about 3 hours). At the end, he showed me the big pile of dust he had collected from our ducts. More importantly, he found a furnace filter that I didn't know existed. It was totally clogged and obstructing air flow. Now that he's removed it, we're expecting big savings in our heating bill and a warmer house. He also gave us some great tips about how to prevent dust build-up in the future. We'll definitely use him again.

Contacted Kirk for quote. He provided a thorough summary of the work that would be done and was readily available. Arrived on time. Performed cleaning routine professionally. No collateral damage to home. Provided helpful suggestions for our heating/AC system and for many other maintenance issues around our house. His advise was appreciated as we had just recently moved into our home. Overall, the cleaning and consulting time was a good value.

What I loved about him, is he did a great job with everything. He was really nice. He noticed the handle on my refrigerator was broken and fixed it. He explained that I had the wrong furnace filters and gave me the name of the right one. We have our furnace cleaned once a year and they never mentioned that the dirt around it could cause it to rust, but he told us about it. He looked under our house and recommended that we consider some earthquake retrofitting, because our posts were just sitting on dirt. We never noticed the cracks in the cold air exchange, but he found them and fixed it. He didn't charge us anything for all of the extra stuff that he did.

This went very well. Kirk was able to come in within a few days once I decided to go with his company. Over the phone, he quoted me $400 minus a $50 Angie's List discount. When he wrote up the invoice, he knocked off $25 from the original estimate because he finished more quickly than he expected. I am very pleased with 02Pure and would recommend the company to anyone looking for air duct cleaning.

Kirk was awesome. He came on time, did a great job cleaning out the ducts (they looked like they had never been done in the 44 years since the house was built), gave great advice on where to get better (and cheap) air filters, cleaning materials to use to avoid chemicals, etc... He showed me the dust he gathered from the system, and oh my goodness it was a lot! I didn't get quotes from anyone but him, but I felt $300 was low for what he did and thus gave him a small tip on the side. Will definitely recommend him to others.

I called O2Pure to check and clean my ducts because we had some problems with rodents, the house smelled, and I suspected that somehow they had gotten into the heating ducts. Kirk came out and cleaned all of the vents and was able to determine that there was no evidence of rodents in the ducts. For no extra charge, he also cleaned our dryer vent. It turns out that the most likely reason for the odor was possible dead rodents somewhere between the floors. The smell was noticeable because there was a gap between the end of a duct and the hole in the ceiling probably close to where the rats were decomposing. He told me that if I go down to the local hardware store and get some ducting, he would close the gap, which he did (again no extra charge). He also lent us an ionizer to help eliminate the smell. So, all in all, this company went way beyond what was expected. There prices were very reasonable compared to some of the other companies I checked. I highly recommend them.

They were on time. They were good. The guy was an expert and knew what he was talking about.

It went great. They were quick to respond after I left a message. They came within a week and finished the job very quickly. They gave me very helpful tips before they left.

Service provider was timely and efficient. At the end, my husband wrote the check and Kirk invited him outside to see how much dirt he had gotten out of our home. HE DID NOT MENTION THE DAMAGE. My husband walked back in, found the hole and called Kirk and he said he would come by and look at it. He never came. My husband emailed him several times, asking for a response and then asking for money to cover the cost of repair. We received neither telephone call nor email after that request. We had hoped for: (1) an apology and (2) a contribution to costs of repair ($50).

I was very pleased with them. They were prompt and very knowledgeable. I would use them again in the future and would recommend them to others.

Did excellent job. Kurt with his helper, Steve showed up right when they said they would. Went right to work and completed job in approximately 1 hour 45 minutes.

We had a rodent infestation over the summer and they had managed to get into the clean air intake duct, as well as one other duct. As we assessed the damage, we realized that there was some old asbestos tape on some of the ductwork. When I called other companies about cleaning, they would not even return my call. Kirk was very responsive. He was very knowledgeable about the asbestos and how it should be handled. He also pointed out other problems in our basement. I have done a lot of research since this all started and believe he gave us sound advice. We have had several contractors in our house and he is the only one who tried to keep our floors clean (he wore paper booties in the living space). There was a bit of a wait to get him booked for the cleaning, but he did a wonderful job, was on time and worked quickly.

The came out actually the day I called. Kirk and John were both very professional - very friendly and easy to have around. I would definitely recommend them to anyone I know. Thanks again Kirk!

Overall it was a very positive experience. The work got done well and quickly with a few bonus chores thrown in. And my husband and I appreciated not being made to feel guilty that we hadn't had our ducts cleaned years earlier. Even the dog approved.

I was not home when they arrived, so my husband showed them through the house. They were there for a while and removed a fair amount of dust, though it turned out our ducts were not in too bad a shape. The concerns we had after they left were that we turned on the furnace and discovered that all but two vents had been left closed after the servicing, leading us to wonder if those vents had been done at all. We also noticed a small gouge in our downstairs wood floor, we believe caused by them rolling a special metal machine across the floor to work on some of the downstairs ducts. We did like that Kirk gave us a suggestion for a place to get discounted furnace filters in the future. He also gave us a great suggestion on using a mortar bag to make it easier to fill in some cracks in our cement driveway - worked very well!

The service was quicker than I thought, only about 2.5 hours instead of the 4 hours we had discussed on the phone, which was good for me. I was provided with great info on the phone about how the ducts would be cleaned. Be prepared for lots of well-intentioned advice from the technician, not just related to to your furnace/ducts, but anything in and around the home. The only real negative complaint I have is that about 4-5 walls are pretty scraped up from the equipment. This isn't too big of a deal since we have a new house & lots of touch up paint that I can dig into to and make lots of paint repairs around the house, but if you don't have an exact paint match, you may want to do some padding of corners to protect your paint or baseboard trim from getting scraped up. I was able to see all the dirt and debris after the cleaning, which was helpful. I was also given the web address of a wholesale place that carried furnace filters.

He was prompt and very friendly. He pointed out that I needed to have a furnace specialist come in. He was very knowledgeable. His price was very fair compared to other companies.

Kirk showed up on time, cleaned 40 years worth of fuzzy gunk out of my ducts. As a bonus he also cleaned out under my fridge and even put air in my tires (since he had his compressor out). Very professional, very helpful, overall a great experience. As an added bonus he found (in my cold air return) an American league baseball signed 1972-1973 that I'm trying to decide. it looks like it's signed with a players name and "World Series." That would be the best duct cleaning ever!

He was very thorough and friendly. He gave us a lot of advice on how we could improve the efficiency in our house. He was great!

The person who came was pleasant and he was on time. I had an overall pretty good experience and he even gave me some tips on how to insulate some noise from a pipe upstairs. He was professional and left everything clean and he told me that the total time for him to do the job was 2 1/2 hours and it only took him 1 1/2 hours and I thought he could have given me a better time estimate. He used something to blow air into the ducts, which is a different technique from what I had seen before.

Excellent. On time-thorough-very knowledgeable. We have referred Kirk to all our friends who have never had their vents cleaned, or need them done.

Found O2 Pure on Angie's List. Called Kirk & Scheduled appointment. I was at work and he arrived on time. My wife tells me that he was a nice guy with lots of ideas for home maintenance. Which we appreciated). Work was done in about an hour and a half.

I called up Kirk for a quote and a couple of days later I emailed him to ask him a couple of questions. He responded in a timely manner. Then I emailed him a week later when I was ready for him to come out to request a Sat. appt if available and if not, to give us a call or email us back. When 9 days passed and he didn't respond, I emailed him again to double check if he received my email and/or if he forgot to respond back to me. In that email, I reiterated if Sat is a problem, I would be interested in a Friday appt. When I didn't receive an email back, I called later that day to check w/ him if he received my email. He then told me he was still trying to see if he has an available Sat. appt. and will call back that day which he never did. So a couple of days later, I called again and left a message. He called back later that day and basically said Fridays are much better so we decided on a Friday the following week. He estimated 3.5 hrs for the work and finished in 2.5 hrs. I have a 3100 sq. foot home and have never done an air duct cleaning so I'm not sure how long it should take. He was extremely patient and friendly w/my 2 toddlers which I appreciated. It was hard to get them away from him. He took the time out to answer our questions and gave us advice and referral for air quality specialist for a strong musty odor he smelled in our bedroom which we had a concern about in the previous months. Also in our furnace room which is above the garage, he gave us good advice to allow fresh air coming in since for some reason, it was built w/o vents letting fresh air in. From what I read, he cleaned some of their dryer vents which unfortunately he didn't do w/ours. I'm not sure if that was extra or part of the job, but I would have liked it to be done either way. Because I was busy with the kids, I forgot to ask him about it. So the fault may lie on me since I didn't do my due diligence at the time. All in all, I was pretty happy with his services when we did finally connect on a date He was quite friendly and seemed to have done a good job. He quoted us 350 for the job and when we were done, he gave us an additional discount so it worked out to be 353.25 after taxes.

He was on time and very pleasant. He did put on booties to protect the floors. It took about 90 minutes to complete the job with some of his time taken by me asking questions about what he was doing. After completing the job, he showed me all the accumulated dust from the duct work.

Awesome! He was extremely friendly and thorough. He even gave us tips on saving $ on our heating bill by using a non-toxic expanding foam to seal off our ground floor heating vents. Our bill is less by almost 1/2. I had no idea we were losing so much heat in the crawl space!
