Munson's Independent Honda

It is very hard to get into them. Once they have it they get it back quickly. They are very reliable and have excellent quality of work at a good price. The work takes like a day. You drop your car off, you don't stay there.

I've been using Munson's Independent Hondo for several years now and am always pleased with their service. They get the job done each and every time and have proved to be reliable, quick, professional, and cost effective. This time was no different. My screeching drive belts were replaced and the problem was resolved. I will continue to use them to provide routine maintenance for my car and have no qualms about recommending them.

I was inform during the timing belt fix that the oil pump need to be fix. I glad it was fix and i do not have to worry about the problem. the car is running great.

I have been using Munson's Independent Honda for the past few years after discovering them on Angie's List, I continue to be extremely impressed by the service I receive, and the water pump replacement was no exception. The quote was on target and the service was completed in a timely manner. I will continue to use them for all routine auto maintenance and service needs.

No response after 2 - 3 weeks. Regarding Angie's Review, the Home Build Year is hardly applicable when one is reviewing a mechanic or dealership!

Munson's always practices integrity and honesty in all their business dealings. We have taken all our Honda and Toyota vehicles to them for a couple of decades. We highly recommend them.

They always get the work done as scheduled at cost that is very reasonable. I use them for all three of my vehicles.

I rarely sit down and take the time to write a review on Angie's List but after going to Munson's yesterday for a 30,000 mi. service on our Rav-4 and, as always, getting great, honest service and not overpaying ($81!), I just had to comment. We've been using them for over 15 years and have had timing belts and CV boots installed, pre-purchase inspections and much more done on the 5 or 6 Honda/Toyotas we've had and not once have we experienced anything but excellence. We can get our cars in promptly--but frankly, I can't believe that they aren't booked solid for weeks. I was so happy when they started working on Toyotas a few years back. Last fall, we started going to an auto repair shop (a chain in Vancouver) that was closer to our home in Ridgefield that we heard was good, but they soon started trying to sell us on things that were questionable. They used an expensive, synthetic oil without asking us and said we needed a motor vac/fuel injection service at 30,000 mi. so I called Munson's, who said it was not necessary. There are no fancy waiting rooms at Munson's, just a repair shop that I will use as long as they are in business.

The staff were just fine. They were prompt with getting us in for an appointment. If you don't need services they will tell you. They are an honest company.

I've used Munson's several times for my Toyota Sienna and Honda Accord. They've always done good work for me. They don't over-charge; I've asked about maintenance items in the past and they've told me at times that something didn't need to be done yet so they aren't just out to get as much of my money as they can. They've always completed the work by the time promised. I've never had any problems with the work they've done.

He was excellent, when i was working, he didn't have to come pick my car up, and normally i wouldn't trust anybody, i'm the only one who drives my car, he said he could change my oil but he thought that was about it, and when he checked the breaks he said i can do this too, he does not need to say you need to do this, he's actually a mechanic. I checked everybody and no one has to say negative things about him. I didn't think he could go wrong especially if you have a Honda and Toyota, he know's this stuff, you get what you pay for.

These guys were terrific. We have been looking for an auto mechanic that we can trust, that doesn't overcharge, and will do a great job. We found it in Munsons. I won't need to take our cars anywhere else ever again. The servicing was professional, extremely well priced (I had expected to pay a lot more!), and the service people that we spoke to were honest, knowledgeable, and answered all my questions right away.

It was a pleasure dealing with them and we'll definitely continue even though we live 45+ miles away.

They are wonderful! They carefully look at needs to be done, making recommendations. They are very honest and let me know about future "needs' that the vehicle may have... but never push to do it right now! Dick Munson is honest and forthright. he hires technicians that meet this standard!

Munson's has been the sole provider for maintenance on my 1989 Honda Civic DX hatchback. It's a one owner car and purchased in 89 on my behalf. I'm keeping the car as a 'classic category' vehicle. It's kept in top notch shape and looks almost new. They always get the repair done right the first time and I've never had to return for a second, or subsequent attempt. The owner and his associates are very knowledgeable and are more than willing to discuss repair issues with the customer rather than hiding behind front end people as in many car maintenance establishments. Recently I was warned that they might have problems locating an ECU (engine control processor) or the automatic transmission processor, both digital in the event they fail thus forcing me to junk the car. Currently there's no problem, but this simple tip has alerted me to a future parts problem. I've been locating sources and will buy the parts and keep them on hand in the event I have such a failure. In summation I highly recommend Munson's Independent Honda to area residents. I believe they now work on other imports such as Acura and Toyota vehicles.

It was easy to get an appointment. They allowed us to bring the car in the night before and they locked it in the shop for safety. They got everything done the next day. We even had them check on a strange noise and they told us it was common, but not dangerous and did not try to charge us the cost to fix it. Will use them again.

These people were the best to work with. They were professional, honest, and cared about the customer, calling me several times about the car. Will definitely use them again and am getting ready to do so. We need more people like Munson's.

They did a pressure test on it and I was fully ready to pay for a new radiator. So, after the pressure check, they said they just didn't find anything wrong, so they added some fluid and just charged me $7.00. On an earlier visit, they had rotated the tire for me, not knowing that this had just been done recently when I stopped in at a tire store. They said they would be happy to switch it back, for me for free. I said it would be fine with me if I paid for the rotation because I had not mentioned this had been done recently. They said, "No, we don't want to charge you for something you did not ask for." I feel they are beyond honest. They are the quintessential auto servicers. I have never been anywhere where they are so honest.

I was able to schedule an early morning appointment within 1-2 days of my phone call and was greeted promptly on the morning I delivered my car. I provided authorization for new brakes as well as a thorough assessment, parts, and service for any and all other maintenance costs associated with my request. I was shocked to receive a phone call several hours later advising that I did not need new brakes or any other maintenance on my car. When I picked up my car, I fully expected to pay for the assessment and was pleasantly surprised when I was told there was no charge. Consequently, Munson earned my trust and respect as well as a customer for life.

They are very available. I can get in within a day or two. They are prompt and seem to be very honest. They are low cost compared to other people. We took a couple of used cars to them a couple of years ago and they kept us from buying a bad used car. They told us that two of them had serious engine problem and we ended up buying a third one that they said was great and we still have it.

I had used Munson's one other time several years ago and when I go tired of dealing with the dealer, I decided to go back to Munson's. Good choice. We took the car in a 8:30am and they called at 11 to tell us what they recommended. The car was ready by 2pm. Couldn't ask for more.

Munson's is consistently awesome! Every time the work has been done right and on time. My first experience with them was in 2008 when they replaced the clutch and timing belt on my 93 del Sol while I was out of state. I told them to replace whatever they thought it needed. They called about one inexpensive part, I asked them to replace it and told them again to replace whatever was needed. They said it didn't need anything else. Their integrity, along with high quality service keeps me going back. My van died recently and I wanted to buy a Subaru to replace it but haven't, in part, because I don't know of a shop to service it that measures up to Munson's.

I can now tell you after putting about 125 miles on the car that the leak is all but gone. I have had an absorbent pad under the car since it started leaking, and have checked the drops daily. The oil drops lessened day by day, and I haven't had any drops in the last 2 days. There is no doubt the seal has been re-conditioned and is no longer leaking.Mr. Munson saved me $1000, and earned my loyalty and respect. He is an honorable man.You can bet I will be recommending him to anyone who needs auto repair.

They are real good and very reliable. They get it done right the first time. We don’t have to run back over and over. They do excellent work and are very sharp. They are on top of it. They work only on Honda cars.
