+ -1 moreWe did not deal with the on site plumber personally (i was out of state at the time). The people at the dispatcher's office were decently helpful, but I was disappointed with the followup. I was never called with an update on the job once it was completed, and had to call several times to find out what ended up happening. (I'd provided my credit card at the time I placed the order so they just ran the card, charged me for the work, and called it a day). I would have expected a courtesy call back to let me know what was done and how much it cost. On my second call to the company, I spoke with their accounts person who was very helpful and got me an invoice promptly.
Description of Work: They cleaned and unclogged a non-draining upstairs shower.

+ -1 moreMark was on time, courteous, professional and seemed to know what he was doing. We had a clog like this before and previous plumbers never pointed out the other setup issues.
Description of Work: We had to have a kitchen double sink clog opened, which they did. We had two traps and apparently were supposed to have only one, so he removed one. The plumber also pointed out that the connection to our dishwasher was too low and that's why the clog was backing up into it. So, he reworked and raised that connection.

They understood that I was on a budget and needed to get as much done as possible within my budget. He even showed me how to install the fixtures myself on his own time. Pricey, but worth it!
Description of Work: They installed a new faucet and changed out the plumbing from the faucet in the bath up to the shower head. They also changed the toilet drain to a PVC one that had a flange.

He corrected an alignment problem when asked, and took time to find a coupling for our water filter. Besides that, he was a nice guy. It's great to let an expert do the work. + -1 moreHe called and asked if he could come earlier than planned and stayed for 2 and a half hours. He was efficient and really seemed to know what he was doing.
Description of Work: He came to clear out a clogged toilet and fix a leak under a bathtub into our crawl space. He had to remove the whole toilet to get at the plug (an old makeup compact). The leak under the tub was a missing bolt. The fixtures were nonstandard and patched together, but he figured out which parts would fit and how to put it back together again so it wouldn't leak.

+ -1 moreWhen I called to explain our problem I was very pleased that they could send someone out the same afternoon. I got a call shortly after saying that Jack would be there soon, and he arrived within an hour of my initial call. I had been unable to unscrew the broken valve as it was set slightly behind tiling on the wall, and was so old that it was almost fused on -- I was afraid that if I applied too much force with the wrench I would break the pipe inside the wall. Jack took care of the entire problem, improving the setting and installing an updated, matching valve on the other side. The work took less than an hour, Jack was extremely friendly and efficient and gave me some advice on how to proceed from there with the new sink installation. I got their name from Angie's List, and am pleased to say that although their name is D & F, they get A's from me!
Description of Work: Removed a broken hot water supply shut-off valve that under a sink we had removed, replaced it with a better type and put a matching one on the cold water valve.

+ -1 moreFirst off, I had contacted D & F plumbing months ago to receive a bid on the re-pipe. Even though I was past the 90 days that the contract stays in effect, they still honored the original bid. I called on Monday as one of my pipes appeared to ready to burst and John, the plumber, came at 8:00 am sharp on Tuesday! He was professional, friendly and reassuring to me as I was nervous about the work. The job was done by the next afternoon (including the inspector signing off). This was not an easy job (my house was built in 1926) and I feel like every penny was well worth it. EXCEPTIONAL AND OUTSTANDING WORKMANSHIP. I own my own business, Daddies Board Shop, so I have high expectations for customer service. D & F went above the call of duty. Highly recommend these guys.
Description of Work: D & F Plumbing did a re-pipe job in my basement. They took out all the old galvanized steel pipes and replaced them with brand new copper pipes.

We are planning home remodel in the near future and did not want to pay for any finish work that will soon get torn up. The work was done quickly and we were very pleased.

The actual plumber was very professional and he did a good job in a short amount of time. Overall I am very satisfied with my experience with D & F. Actual cost for the project was the same as the estimate.

+ 0 moreI called on Sunday when the office was closed and was called back Monday morning to make an appointment for that very day. Jack arrived a bit later than he thought he would but I assume that's because his other jobs delayed him. He knew immediately what needed to be done. After replacing the tub spout he noticed that the water was not running normally and asked if we wanted him to look behind the valve to see if there was any clogging. We agreed and indeed, there was debris. He told us what the plastic debris indicated and warned us that a large chunk of plastic could break off and cause a serious pipe blockage. A real professional, Jack is knowledgeable, polite and has a nice sense of humor. We liked the way things were done so we will have the company put in a new water heater for us.
Description of Work: The tub spout diverter was not turning on the shower and the water coming out of the tub faucet was running rather thin. Jack quickly replaced the tub spout with diverter and cleaned rust and plastic debris clogging up the pipes behind the valve. The shower now functions and water volume has been restored. Unfortunately the plastic debris indicates dip tube deterioration in the water heater so we'll need to replace that.

NOT ONLY DID I HAVE HIM FIX THE LEAK AND THE PRESSURE THING, EVERYTHING THAT NEEDED TO BE DONE, HE TOLD ME THE PRICE. I DON'T KNOW IF THEY ALWAYS DO THAT BUT THEY DID THAT THE SECOND TIME.
Description of Work: WE HAD TO CUT OUT PART OF THE WALL TO INSTALL A NEW BATHTUB FAUCET BECAUSE THE HOUSE IS OLD AND NEEDED MODIFICATION. THE OTHER ONE WAS A MAJOR LEAK FROM THE MAIN PART OF HOUSE, IN THE BATHROOM, LEAKING INTO THE BASEMENT. THEY PUT ON A PRESSURE RELIEF APPARATUS AND REPLACED THE WASTE DRAIN.
