Both Brad and his son, Luke, showed up on time and had both garbage disposal and the inlet valve replaced within an hour. They replaced my broken Insinkerator badger 1 1/3 HP with Badger 500 1/2 HP that I had purchased at Home Depot for $99. The father & son duo were not only punctual, but also did a clean & perfect job! I certainly would recommend Christensen Plumbing LLC for your plumbing needs.

I didn't use Christensen, but would have just based on a referral to a competitor.
Description of Work: We had a broken valve in the garage. Water was squirting out. I called Christensen, but they couldn't come out for over a week. They suggested a competitor, Technical Plumbing, and I called them. Cudos to Christensen for making a recommendation.

The guys got here exactly when they said they would. They removed the old disposer, installed the new one, and rebuilt the drain plumbing for the sink, giving us all-new materials in which we could have confidence. I explained that I'd had problems with intermittent leaks in the past, and they were just great about checking for them. First thing they found was a leaking cold-water shutoff, which after we turned off the water to the house, was easily and quickly replaced, as they keep such parts on the truck. We had another big issue though: After the water to the house was turned back on, they continued their very thorough check and found that the casting for our sink faucet was leaking. That sort of thing is non-repairable. That faucet was a "designer-line" faucet in oil-rubbed bronze that my wife loved and I'd installed 12 years ago during a big remodel project. And it was probably the source of the intermittent leaks under the sink. But that kind of faucet in that particular finish wasn't anything that they normally carried, nor did their #1 supplier carry it. They were kind enough to wait and give me advice about who to call, so I could locate a good brand replacement faucet in that finish. They also gave me great advice about what brands of faucets are good these days and allowed me to use their name with a big wholesale supplier who had several to choose from. The problem was, the supplier was an hour away. They agreed to come back and install the faucet later that same afternoon, after they took care of another call. By using their name with the wholesale supplier, I got a discount, and shortly after I got back home, they pulled up in the driveway. They were happy to install and check the new faucet for me. They were just great about everything; even though I was in a bit of a pickle with a bad faucet. Even though they had to come back to finish the job, they were professional and understanding. They even were good enough to charge me only for the one service call, even though technically they had made two. I also need to say that they left no parts sitting around for me to figure out what to do with, and they cleaned up any mess they'd made. I just can't recommend these guys highly enough, and their pricing was great overall.
Description of Work: We had a leak in our kitchen garbage disposer, which turned out to be only part of a bigger problem. We'd had intermittent leaks from the area over the years, but working on my own, I could never find them. It was time for the professionals. I called, explained our problems, and asked if they carry disposers in their truck. They do, and their price was $30 less than what the big box stores charge for a good model of an InSinkErator, an excellent name brand that I've had in the past.

It went extremely well. Brad and his son arrived with the parts and equipment they needed to do the jobs. They were very courteous and explained what the issues were and recommended solutions. They came in the door with parts and equipment in hand - ready to go.
Description of Work: We had four fairly small jobs that we needed done. We needed the cartridge in the kitchen faucet replaced, a repair on the garbage disposal, a leak in a lavatory drain repaired, and a plugged faucet in a seldom used bathroom cleaned out.

They did a good job and were very nice, but when they finished he recognized a leak. He did fix it, but charged for the time to fix his work. I felt his invoice was overly expensive. I will not use them again for that reason.

This is my first review on Angie's list even though I've hired two other contractors through Angie's list before (A handyman and a painter). Both didn't do their job well at all and I almost filed a lawsuit against the handyman. I needed a plumber so bad so I ended up hiring Brad through Angie's list. Brad and his son came right on time with smile. Very kind and professional. This business has lots of positive reviews and I see why now. He forgot to do a very minor thing but he came back within 2hrs to fix it and he was very polite. He is so far the best plumber I've ever met. If I need a plumber in the future, I will definitely call him directly! Highly recommended!

Very professional and easy to work with. Despite having to reschedule half way through, due to a broken new sink, Brad and his son were considerate. They proved much needed advice on selecting a new sink. It is very nice to be able to work with a family business. These men are real gentlemen.

Perfectly! He did not charge us for the 2nd house call either.
Description of Work: We had a leaky toilet that we had replaced the wax ring in 3 times as well as having another plumber come out. Brad Christensen was early to the appointment, found and fixed the problem (an unseen crack in the toilet) by replacing the toilet with a much better one we had purchased. He was prompt, fast, efficient, and courteous. No more leaky toilet. We called him again when we found water at the base of the new toilet. This time he discovered that the water was coming from shower water escaping the shower curtain and a slightly sloping floor that made it appear the problem was the toilet when the problem was not even related to the toilet! Would we call him again? Absolutely! Thanks, Brad!!! HB & JK

I am completely satisfied with Christensen Plumbing. Brad Christensen and his assistant were professional and friendly and I felt very comfortable having them in my home. I bought a new refrigerator with water and ice dispenser and needed the water supply run to it. My house has basement access, but with a finished ceiling the job required a thoughtful approach. Luckily the floor joists ran in the right direction and there were no braces in the way. The 'branch' was made and the outlet spot was decided and drilled, the line ran and connected, then tested. Once again, luckily, there was no vibrational noise when the water was run. Voila! Ice and water on demand. Brad was wonderful about talking me through all the decisions he made and asking my opinion on location of the connection. He was extremely neat in all the steps. The finished work is very professional. I highly recommend Christensen Plumbing.

I first contacted Brad I asked him his rate and he said it was $120/hr. Which seems steep. He noted that its $120 for TWO people- his apprentice and himself. So I thought, well ok- two people, faster work. But when he showed up it was just him and his partner was not able to make it.... but the rate stays the same! Nice... I felt like he was trying to find things that were wrong and extra work to do. He wanted to drill a hole into the side of the house to drain the water heater in case it implodes. since its a basement and its been working fine with a bucket for years... it wasn't possible or necessary. But he seemed to think it was necessary to discuss the risks of not completing the (impossible) task MULTIPLE times. I guess I just find that annoying. Also, he didn't suggest any solutions so I googled it and asked him to drain the water heater, as that is proper maintenance protocol to prevent such things in the first place. When the bill came it was $60 in materials. Really, $60 in materials to plumb a kitchen sink?????? I have worked in the construction industry and I know when someone is plugging and fudging to get an extra nickle. Overall his work looks nice, hopefully it stands up.
