They were very professional. Pacific Plumbing were the actual plumbers that did the work and I thought they were very good and hard working.

I had Repipe Specialists out to bid our repipe along with several other companies. Repipe's price was better and th eir salesperson was helpful and practical, not pushy or slick like some of the others. In process of getting bids for the repipe we discovered that our water heater was many years overdue for replacemen t - and Repipe does Tankless water heaters while our second favorite bidder did not. Before we scheduled our water heater blew out! Not only that but the shutoff by the water heater and the inside whole house valve failed with slow leaks. So we were literally without water. I called the salesperson and got a call back within the hour. Repipe worked with one of their other customers (who didn't need the work done urgently) to get us in within the week, which was very much appreciated! One of the selling points for Repipe was that they would bring a large crew and be done in a day - and sure enough they showed up with a crew of about 15 people! The work moved very quickly. The crew was clean, tidy and polite and I was consulted about all of the decisions about where to cut and where to mount the new water heater. They cleaned up well after themselves. We got a quote for repiping the run to the street from the house, but opted to wait to see if an internal repipe only would solve our pressure issues. In the process of the work they discovered that the run to the street was fairly restricted and recommended that we do the work. They offered an on-the-spot discount and proposed an alternative way of routing the new line such that it would not disrupt a valuable tree in our front yard. They put in extra time and effort to get the additional work done the same day and in the process discovered that the (very old) run to the street was leaking! So we are glad for the recommendation and the discount. All told we were very pleased with the experience and would recommend Repipe Specialists to anyone else looking at: * Tankless Water heaters * Internal plumbing work including a full repipe * House to street rework

I was having low water pressure in various parts of my house and rust from old galvanized pipes. I had Repipe Specialists come in and replace from the water meter to the house with copper and then re-pipe the house in PEX. They did a great job and I am very happy with my new plumbing. Some of the things that I especially liked about them is that they completed the work in a single day and patched dry wall. A slight negative experience was that the work seems to have been sub-contracted out. As I said, I am very happy with the work but felt like I was almost re-negotiating with the people that came out. It would have been nice to have the salesman show up and tell they what we had agreed upon but instead they were trying to work from a checklist type of form...which isn't the most thorough form of communiction for a job like this. It also took quite awhile to actually schedule the appointment for work but this was not a huge problem for me.

We were getting particulate matter in our water and it was clogging up our sink screens. I was very very happy with my experience. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. They had to put some holes in walls, but we knew about it before they started, we knew we were going to have some dry wall patching and things like that. They did the repipe and then they did the drywall repairs necessary, but they didn't paint the room, so there are some spots on the wall. We're going to have to paint a whole room because of it, but we knew that going in. The price was better than the competitor's estimates by about 10 or 15%. We felt they were the best deal we were going to get and they did a good job. All the hardware looks good. They showed up when they said they would. The foreman was very good at walking us through exactly what was going to be done, and detailing where holes were going to have to go, etc., so that we understood what was going to be happening. It cleared our minds to know exactly what was going to go on.

I was able to see the immediate difference in the water pressure after they replaced the pipes and the hot water pressure also became very fast now. They did a very good job. First, they had a couple of experts come out to asses the situation and then they sent a team of workers. They were very polite to work with and I was very pleased with them. The price was comparatively much lower. After they finished the job, the clean up work was not perfect, but, it was very good. Overall, the level of service and the quality of installation was excellent. This has now been six months since I had it done and everything is just fine. They put in a new valve in the basement which I really liked because it is very easy to use.

I contacted Repipe Specialist to replace the pipes in my house. A salesman came out and gave me the pitch and took measurements to give me an estimate. I agreed to there terms and called them to get started. I received a letter in the mail indicating that they would be doing the job. Included in this mailing was an "Important Notice" that my job was going to be done by the "shop" and all calls should be directed to the "shop" and gave me a number to call. I had already removed most of the plasterboard so that the contractors could get a good look at what needed to be done. I removed all of the clothes and cleaning products from the work areas so they would have clear access. I told them I would replace the plasterboard myself. The contractor called me to set up a date to do the job. On the day the job was supposed to happen the contractor's crew showed up and got to work. They buried the pipe outside and completed their work inside in one day and left. I did a walk around with the contractor and he showed me what they had done. It looked like they were finished and I signed the invoices. I walked around the house after they left to get a closer look at what had been done. I noticed that the foundation was cracked near where one of the outside faucets was replaced. I can't prove that the contractor cracked the foundation because I had not noticed the cracks before the job. I called the next day to find out when the job was going to be inspected and was told they would call me back the next day. The following day the contractor showed up with the permit. I contacted the inspector's office to request and inspection. The next day the inspector showed up and found a list of problems. One of the problems was that when they replaced the iron pipe with PEX they disrupted the grounding of the house. The inspector said that I would have to have an electrical permit and have this corrected. It cost $409 to fix this problem. Another problem was that the PEX needs to be supported so that no unsupported run was more than 32 inches. I installed bracing so that the contractor could secure the piping. All of the piping in the unfinished crawl space had to be insulated. The bibbs needed to be caulked and needed corrosion resistant anchors. The foundation penetrations needed to be sealed. And the water service from the meter to the house needed to be uncovered for inspection. I called the contractor and told him about the inspection results. They came out and fixed most of the inside problems. They dug up parts of the outside piping. I called the inspector to come out and re inspect. I didn't think the inspector would accept the partial exposure so I dug up the rest of the pipe. The inspector passed all of the inside work but insisted that the outside service needed to be buried in sand or wrapped in insulation to protect it from rocks after it is buried. I notified the contractor of this and they set up a date to protect the outside pipe.
Description of Work: Replaced all of the pipes in the house. Replaced valves on showers.

Response from Repipe Specialists of Washington Inc
As GM for Repipe Specialists I would like to comment on the above. City Inspections are an important part of the plumbing process and that's why we always abide by them. Not having the notice to hand, I can only state that whatever needed to be done was corrected quickly and passed by that same inspector. Most of the members comments relate to the entirety of the repipe process from start to finish, with only a small amount of text actually detailing workmanship issues, which were all corrected quickly and passed by inspection. Example: We clearly show on every contract (bold print) that if electrcial grounding is deemed an issue by inspection than the homeowner must hire a licensed electrician to do the work. Changing from iron pipe to PEX would be one reason that this would need to be done. We always strive to pass 100% of the times, but this is not always practical. However, we always take full responsibility for the work and the end product as we did here and as was validated by City Inspector. While there were a few correction points that needed to be fixed, I do not see this as an "F". I feel the length of the text appears to portray a job filled with problems where this is not the case and gives the reader the impression that an "F" is warranted, again, I do not consider this to be a fair assessment of our work. Personally, considering no correction was made to the hot & cold lines, or the water heater, or the main line or any workmanship issues relating to their installation I believe a "B" or "B-" would be more appropriate. We are a good experienced company and simply want the opportunity to show what we can do. Thank you, Joe Luca GM

I heard their ad on the radio, and with a major remodel of my main bathroom coming up I thought I'd give them a try. One catch, they would need to complete the job less than one week from the estimate in order to meet the remodel schedule. They manage the contracts for subs who are local companies in their own right. Michael came to our home at a time agreeable to us, inspected the work and submitted an estimate based upon a firm fixed price. He was very clear about the work to be done, the schedule risks, and he was extremely courteous. 10% down was required at the time I accepted the bid. The subcontractors performed the work, installing Pex piping instead of copper. Our home is an older split entry, and the pipes were accessible. To ensure our project completed on time they provided a crew of 3 with one laborer to dig the trench. They also installed a new hose bib. While they were there, we asked them to inspect and bid on re-piping the waste lines. This will be part of a separate review, for Pacific Plumbing. The re-piping went very smoothly, from digging the ditch to insulating each of the pipes; professional and courteous.
Description of Work: Re-pipe of all vertical (water supply) lines for a 1-3/4 bath home. Re-pipe of water supply from the water main to the house (approximately 30 feet). Inspected small leak in horizontal (waste) line.
