The guys arrived at the appointed time. They inspected and cleaned the chimney. I had also asked that the dryer vent be cleaned, but after looking at it, they told me it was fine, and that there would be no charge for that. They were done in under an hour. There was no attempt to "upsell" anything.

My home is approximately 110 years old and I hadn't had the chimney cleaned in several years. I don't burn wood anymore, but on occasion I burn the 'presto' type logs. Near the house I have a large tree that drops lots of leaves in the fall and other debris throughout the year. I had noticed some damp leaves in fireplace and decided I needed to get the chimney checked out. Lenny and Zack removed a lot of tree debris, but reported that the chimney itself was in great shape except that there wasn't a chimney cap - the reason why leaves were getting in. Although they didn't have the correct size available on the truck, within a couple of days they stopped by with the correct cap and installed it in just a few minutes time. Lenny was very knowledgeable and professional and both did a great job. I highly recommend this company will definitely use them again in the future!

The Chimney Specialists were very quick to give an estimate, and the actually beat me to our new house in the morning and got it written up before I arrived. To be honest, our roofline is steep and high, so I couldn't attest to the quality of the work other than there are brand new caps on the chimneys (and that both chimneys were wrapped once the work was completed; they obviously came back later and took it down since it was gone a day or two after). While their estimate was a little more than another company's I had received, they were very reassuring and explained the work they were bidding to do (as opposed to the other who just read their itemized list with no explanation). The people on the phone were pleasant to talk with, and they were very professional from beginning to end.

The company took less than 4 hours to complete the installation and they were tidy and polite. They put down tarps and used a vacuum attachment on the drill so there wasn't even a speck of dust or sawdust. They charged the exact amount they said and were on their way leaving us with a fabulous gas log set that perfectly fits the fireplace and makes our room beautiful.

They were really, really good. We would definitely recommend them. They came in under what they quoted, about $2000 less from what other companies listed. They showed up quickly and did everything we required and did it to perfection.

These are your guys. I got quotes from four companies and these guys were at or below everyone else's estimates; but that's not the biggest reason I went with them. Judd Irish knows what he's doing and has an experienced team that backs up his estimates. I had Judd do a quote about 5 months before I actually decided to act. I called him to have his crew do the work based on the previous quote. They showed up on time and pulled the old liner out and used for my second chimney for ventilation for the furnace, which saved me a good chunk of money. That was tough work, but what they found was that the furnace was venting into my fireplace, which is dangerous for health reasons. They fixed it and got everything venting properly. They then installed the wood burning insert with the faceplate. Unfortunately, the faceplate was much larger than my fireplace opening. Judd originally quoted me to have that cut down months before. It wasn't cheap to have it cut down by a sheet metal shop in Ballard, but the Chimney Specialists didn't charge me more to have it done. Afterwards they snugly fit it in there; and it look great! I have been burning fires on a semi-regular basis and the Regency wood burning insert has been a real workhorse. It is great, but let me warn you that if you get any wood burning insert, it is imperative to get a blower to get that heat out into the room. When it comes time to clean my chimney, these will be my guys. Always get quotes from at least three contractors, but give The Chimney Specialists a call when you need some fireplace work done.

He is very honest. Judd is his name. He came out and looked at my house and said I'm not the one for you and gave me some advice. They were very very nice. A lady named Jackie answer the phone and followed up with me numerous times. They sent two ppl out within a half an hour. They told me that it was not a chimney problem. They were very careful. They were the best.

The experience was great overall. The technician was professional, efficient, and timely. He also gave me some good tips.

I thought they provided a fine service. They took it upon themselves to clean out a stuck gutter they noticed, which I appreciated. I would certainly consider working with them again.

The work that The Chimney Specialists did was great. First the technicians attempted to seal up the chimney, but after the first rain, it was still leaking. They immediately came out and fixed the issue, and we’ve had no problems since. Their price was fair.

The work turned out very well. Their price was reasonable. Several days later, I noticed something that I had a question about inside the firebox. I called them and they came out to take look at it. It wasn’t a problem, but they took steps to put my mind at ease, for no charge. I’m happy with their services overall.

The 2 men worked quickly. They were friendly and answered our questions in detail. We were surprised, however, that they would not brush off the existing moss on the top of the chimneys before installing the new caps, when we asked if they could do that. Overall, they were efficient and left our house clean.

Excellent customer service on scheduling. Sweeps showed up on time, with no complaints about the 50 stairs down to my house. Cleaning was quick, no mess, no fuss. Also asked for a quick look at a second fireplace we don't use. They agreed and confirmed my suspicion that it was not safe to use. Offered to schedule the install of a gas unit, or an insert (because the firebox is rusted away), but I didn't want to pursue this because it's in a room we don't use much. Very pleasant guys, did a good job.

Excellent service from my initial call to schedule an appointment with Kathy to my call to reconfirm the appointment with Yara. My appointment was scheduled within a week, they showed up promptly, completed all the work efficiently and were very professional. Thanks to the through inspection I was advised that a cap was needed and they were able to install the cap immediately.

This is our second year using the Chimney Specialists. We are happy to report excellent customer service and prices for each visit. We will definitely use these guys again in the future. It's nice to know that we have a company that we can trust for our yearly inspection or for emergency repairs.

Everything thing turned out great. The crew was able to sweep my chimney despite having a non-removable fireplace insert. The chimney repair work turned out great making the chimney look good as new. The crew was professional, courteous, experienced and friendly.

I called the Chimney Specialists and they set up an appt to give me a free evaluation and estimate. They came quickly and it took very little time for them to discuss my options. I also called my heating/cooling provider, to get another estimate, and a third service to have 3 comparisons. Chimney Specialists were much less $ than the Heating company, and in fact my rep for the furnace and A/C system strongly recommended the Chimney Specialists if I decided not to use the Heating Company. The gentleman came in about 3 days, inspected the chimney, made recommendationss, and provided a written report on what needed attention and the estimate for switching to gas. They set up an appt to do the work about a week later. I was not home, but the contractor was, and he said it took about 3+ hours. It is very very nice.

Pleasant, helpful woman answered the telephone when I scheduled appointment, also called to confirm appointment day in advance; two polite, clean cut, young gentlemen arrived on time, both were pleasant, honest, and knowledgeable, voluntarily removed shoes in my home, provided thorough and quick work. A very positive experience from start to finish!

The guys were very professonal, no smoking or bad language. Showed up on time. Office goofed on schedual twice.

Jud was punctual, professional and a pleasure to deal with. He determined the most probable source of my leaks, declared that my chimney looked very healthy, and sprayed a water proof sealer over the bricks and mortar. He explained that if there were still leaks present that it was most likely from the flashing and gave me a written estimate should it reoccur.

Overall a great experience. They did a great job and were addressed all of my concerns.
