In general, Greg's guys did a good job -- I would say better than most. There were obvious things that I would say that they should have paid attention to--such as not leaving all the debris from our upper tier in the open space behind our property whenever they cleaned up this area. They should have taken this debris with them (since it would just blow right back into our property. I do find this lazy and cheap way to get out of the extra work to pick up and haul debris to be typical for most guys in this business. Also the owner, Greg, should have come around occasionally to check on his guys work and make specific recommendation for things that would be beneficial for our property. This never happened over the 4-5 years we were customers. We only received generic post winter specials in a letter for clean up, thatching, etc. When we wanted anything done we needed to ask and it would get it done. That said, there were some occasions where Greg (the owner) had some curt exchanges with us. The final thing that really put the nail in the coffin for Greg's Gardening is when we attempted to restart services after the winter this year (2013). We had a lot of overgrowth and the yard really needed some care as we typically restart things in early March. After not hearing about restarting services from Greg during Feb or March, we contacted him in April to ask them to restart our services and setup a spring cleanup. We didn't get a response and after several days, we contacted Greg again. He finally responded that, "I am trying for sat or Monday .. we will do a full spring clean up". He ever showed up and then we get a message from him 5 days later that says, "i am sorry but i just cant fit you in this yr, we have way to much work and i am short on man power. here is a # of a man that has taken over a lot of my extra jobs ... thanks greg" Not at all a professional way to handle a customer--especially after 5 years. He left us high and dry with our yard in desperate need of work.
