Jack's Ever Green Painting

The work by the crew was above expectations. Louis who was the supervisor made sure all details in the contract were followed and added better ideas to improve the results of the house painting. Jack, the owner was easy to work with and upfront on the job. I hightly reccommed this company for future work. Suggestion is to always review the progress of the job and share your thoughts with Jack so the results will be high.

I had water damage due to pipe bursts in my home during December. The water removal/drying company knocked out large portions of walls to dry out everything. After the drywall had been installed & textured, I had Jack's crew come in for painting the walls and ceiling. The number of walls that required painting had increased from the time since Jack had provided the quote - during drywall repair some additional spots had to be patched-up. However Jack's crew was very accomodating about it and worked extra hard to finish all the painting in the estimated time! I was very impressed with their professionalism. Most importantly they did a very good job of covering everything (floor, carpet, counters, moved furniture, etc), cleaned-up very well after the job and put everything back as it was before they started.

They did a great job. I will continue to use this company in the future.

Got name from Angie's list and called him. Prompt reply and next day visit for bid. He explained the repair very well and appeared to be familiar with the kind of work required. Gave us a bid right then, professionally written. Another bid we received was considerably higher and late in being sent to us. We were impressed enough with Jack that we decided to have him paint the ceiling as well. The work done was excellent, the crew polite and clean, and appointments were kept punctually; the job required three visits to complete. We would DEFINITELY hire Jack again and most likely will to do other painting work inside our house.

It was good. We thought they were great to deal with and have no complaints. We would use them again.

Jack came out and did an estimate for this and one other job (arbors and fence) and I decided to go ahead and try him out with the windows and garage doors, which definitely needed it. I was meaning to do this myself, but after running out of time 3 summers in a row, decided to get some help. One person came out and did the whole job in two days. Scraping,then priming (it turns out the windows never got a coat of prime when the house was built) and then painting. They did a great job of matching colors, even by digging through my collection of paint cans and finding the right ones for the windows and garage doors. There is no noticeable difference, it was very accurate! There were just a couple of very minor things that kept me from giving an "A" on quality - a couple of the windows were stuck when I tried to open them and the paint came off in a couple of spots, but these were small. And when I put up my Xmas lights a few weeks later, I found one of my 2nd floor window screens on the roof where I assume it was put aside and not replaced once the window painting was finished. Overall - they were great though. Everything looks great and I enjoyed the professionalism and efficiency of the work!

We paint every room in our new house, 18 different colors. They completed the work nicely.

Showed up earlier than estimated. Job was completed in less than two weeks.

Overall I was very pleased with the quality of the work given the price. I am an architect and have worked with many subcontractors in the past. I selected 6 firms from Angie's list and they all submitted bids within 7 days of each other. Jack Fecker submitted a bid within a few days of my call. He met me at the house and we went over the overall scope. His bid was the second lowest bid and differed slightly in scope from the low bidder (who had a very high rating on Angie's list.) I decided to give Jack a chance to match the low bid and scope because he was a smaller firm and I felt I would enjoy that experience. He decided to lower his bid and with that we moved on to the job. Jack scheduled me for 2 weeks later. His crew started 3 days later than planned because he noted another job scope was being changed. However, he kept me up to date and started as he noted. Generally his crew was quite good. They were always willing to work with me if I had any special requests or comments on the work. I would give their overall painting skills a B. Where I had to watch the job very closely was on the initial preparation and on their final puch list (finishing out miscellaneous items.) On the preparation work, they did an ok job on the scraping and caulking of the house. However anticipating this, I told Jack very clearly that I did not want any paint applied until I signed off on the preparation work. This gave me a chance to inspect the work very closely. There were several areas that needed additional scraping and caulking, but the crew never questioned my list and completed the work quickly. On the painting, overall they did a good job but sometimes when touching up they would work with no tarps, resulting in some paint drops on the roof and sidewalks-- luckilly not too many. However, they always cleaned up what I pointed out. On the final paint job, again I had to go around and inspect the work fairly closely. I prepared a list of all of the work needed to wrapped up (missed areas, missed second coats, drops of trim paint on the body, etc) and again, they completed the lists without a word. In the end they cleaned up the job too. Overall I would give Jack an A on price, an A on his customer service, the Crew an A on customer service, a B+ on their paint skills, but only a B on final wrap up. I think their work could really hit the A level if the crew or Jack took the time to check their own work (preparation and final) more closely, rather than waiting for the Owner to do so. Being a professional, I was able to point out a number of items that a typical Owner would not have noticed, yet are standard for the trade. Overall though, for the low price one cannot expect a perfect job, so I think what I got was great for the price. And since the crew was always willing to correct any items I pointed out, in the end I got an A job. I would definitely use them again.

Jack and his crew were a pleasure from start to finish. They were professional, honest and gave great advice. They did everything they said they would do in a timely, competent and friendly manner, including sharing their donuts. They were efficient and very clean and tidy. I will use them again and again, because, sadly, maintenance is something that is never done.

I felt confident enough with Jack that I had him do all the work while I was out of town and on vacation. When I got back, my house was tranformed. I initially was getting the house ready for sale but am so happy with it that I think I will keep it. Jack and his crew were very fair, pleasant and professional. I had no mess to clean up and they even cleaned up some bad paint work from at least 20 years ago. I have just hired Jack and his crew to paint my condo. I definitely reccomend him.

We had a great experience with Jack and his crew. We originally were going to go with College Pro Painters due to the lower price but eventually had to cancel our job with them (still trying to get our deposit back after 2 months) because they kept not showing up when they were supposed to start work. We got several other estimates including Jack's and his was in the low to middle of the prices and he had great reviews so we thought we'd give him a try. Turns out this was a good decision and I'm happy to give him a good review as well. His crew of 2 showed up for pressure washing at the appointed time and were polite and unobtrusive but got the job done. A week later as planned they showed up again and began taping and painting the house. After one day of work we went out and looked at the color on the front of the house and realized that it was not the color I had originally chosen from the Sherwin Williams paint sample I took home. Jack had matched it exactly to what is was supposed to be from the paint chip it turns out but because Sherwin Williams had made a poor match with their own paint there was a significant difference. Jack went back and had Parker paint remix a whole new batch at his expense (he ate the expense of the color snafu even though he could have pushed that back on us) and a whole day's lost labor just to make sure we were happy with the color. The new remix was the EXACT color we wanted and we were extremely happy with his efficiency and professionalism at handling the problem. The rest of the job went smoothly after that and within about 4 more days of showing up on time every day and continued politeness and cleanliness of his crew the job was done. There were a few little missed spots on the front door and a couple drips on the body of the house (probably hard to avoid on such a large job) that Jack himself came and buttoned up when he collected payment the following Monday. Our plants were in the same shape they were when they arrived and all the paint chips were cleaned up and planters moved back next to the house leaving little trace that major work had just occurred on the house. Needless to say we are extremely happy with the job they did and our house looks phenomenol now.

Very well. Jack's team of painters arrived early each morning and worked diligently through the days. Roofing was being done at the same time, so extra coordination was required. Painters worked professionally and completed the work one-week earlier that contract required.

I was very pleased with the results Jack and his employees provided. From start to finish it went great. I called 3 Angie list exterior paint companies early in April for estimates. I set up times with each for the same day (with breaks between the appointments) to come out and evaluate the exterior of the house at the end of April -- about 3 weeks from my initial call. Jack was the only one who called the day before the appointment to confirm we were still a go. I had to call both of the other two paint companies after they did not arrive as scheduled. One forgot and one other said he was delayed at another site. They arrived between 30 and 45 minutes late for their appointments.Jack arrived approximately 10 minutes before his appointment time and walked with me around the house asking questions and answering mine. When he completed his evaluation, he wrote up his estimate right there and went through it with me; line by line so I got all of my questions answered. The other two companies submitted estimates later -- one almost 2 weeks later. Jack's estimate was the best price (for the same brand and type of paint!) by far. One of the late arriving company's estimate was $1300 higher, the other almost $1500 higher. I was very happy when they actually worked on the house itself. They protected my plants and did not overspray on my decks (made of plastic wood). The painting job itself is excellent. They took just a week from the time they pressure washed until they cleaned up the site. I am very pleased with their work and would recommend them.

Jack did a fantastic job! He responded quickly to my inquiry, scheduled an appointment for a bid right away and gave some great advice on color and paint finishes. Jack's people were clean, precise and did a really great job. Jack even went above and beyond to help me replace my door hardware and fill the holes in the 100 year old door - it turned out great. The house looks fantastic and I have received tons of comments from friends and neighbors. I would definately recommend Jack and would use him again in the future.

Jack, Louis and Marko did a great job of getting our house ready to put on the market. They were great to work with and did a professional job. They were organized and things went very smooth. We have already had good compliments on their work from neighbors and realtors. They will be the first to call the next time.

The crew was efficient, prompt and responsive to our needs. The quality of work was excellent.

Uses exceptional product and it really does last. Neat and clean and uses top people. we have used Jack many times and thought it was time to put on Angie's List.

We first started with the interior painting which went quite well as far as prep work, professional paint job, and most importantly, clean up after the job was completed. We then chose to have them paint our exterior and were equally impressed with the job. The detail work was perfect and Louis was extremely helpful in our paint selection which can be tricky. We had an incident where we chose a paint color and didn't like it after it was on the wall. Louis was nice about changing the color and reordering all new paint. We also had some stain work which needed to match existing stain near a stairboard. Louis was able to perfectly match the old stain on the new window trim. Overall, it was a fairly painless experience (in so far as having strangers in your house goes) and I have already recommended the company to a friend! Our next step is painting the kitchen cabinets which I expect to be equally impressed with given the sample pieces that have been done for us.

They did a good job and had a good crew. They kept us very up to date and communicated with us very well. They cleaned up all of the mess when they were done with the work.

Jack gave us a very competitive bid and we elected to use their company. The entire job went extremely well, thanks to Louis, the Production Manager. They completed the exterior first then wasted no time getting to the interior work. Louis arranged the painting schedule to accommodate the schedule we had for carpet installation. The crews were very efficient and professional as well as being pleasant guys. Customer service is extremely important to Louis and it shows. I can't say enough good things about this company and would definitely recommend them and use them again.

Jack made an estimate and followed up. We chose to use their service and he and his crew performed perfectly throughout the entire process. They finished on time (despite a weather interruption) and were professional and courteous at all times. They cleaned up thoroughly. I would recommend them and hire them again.

Jack and his crew are fantastic interior painters. The quality of their work is extremely high. They are also great to work with. They are on time & professional. Jack painted the entire interior of our house 7 years ago to the same high standard and it has held up very well in our 100-year old house. When he saw a hole in a wall we had made elsewhere in the house with a vacuum cleaner, he volunteered to patch it and paint it.

They came when they said they would and they did the job in a timely and professional manner. I asked for some touch up spots and they did them immediately. Sometimes accidents happen, the painter broke the glass stove top on the stove, BUT it was replaced as quickly as possible and to our total satisfaction. By the way, it was their first breakage in years.

They completed the tough project in 3 days. I was impressed, especially since other companies estimated that it would take at least 1 week. The bid was more than other bids I received, but I wanted the job done quickly. I called Louis because he had delivered quality work on the exterior paint from a previous job. Louis and Mark started at 8:00 am and worked till 7/7:30 pm. They were professional, courteous, had headphones on while they worked and were extremely focused. I was confident that they knew what they were doing and the results showed. You couldn't tell that there was wallpaper that had been there for 10 years. What was especially thoughtful was that Louis textured and blended the texture from a part of the kitchen to the nook so that one could not notice the difference.
